0:43 - you are entitled to your opinion about 4+ sets. As a counter-opinion, I have a number of nieces/nephews around this age (from 3 to 7). They've loved their time with Duplo and they still prefer Duplo over Lego. The reason is that when they start to put things together, they can see something form quicker with Duplo (due to the size) and they don't always have the patience to try and achieve the same thing with Lego. The bigger pieces in this 4+ set meant that putting only a few pieces together - they could see something coming together quicker. This led to them staying interested in the build process longer, when it came to the smaller pieces. So, while you state that sets like this shouldn't exist and that a 4 year old should try playing with a battlepack or a microfighter - I believe that you're thinking like an adult Lego collector, and I don't think that you're thinking like a 4 year old and what they want/need. The battlepack, especially, holds no interest for any of the kids I know. While I love clone troopers, these kids think that Nubs is the coolest figure of all.... Some of these kids have been allowed to watched the Young Jedi Adventures cartoons - so, they know this ship and they know the characters. With the eldest being 7, I'm pretty sure that none of them has been allowed to watch anything that has a clone trooper in it. As the entire point of every clone trooper movie/show is that these troops are generic and can die, in large amounts, they're all way to young to have seen them or to be able to identify with any clone troopers. 4+ sets will never be the biggest sellers, as most adults want no part of them. But, I believe that they do have a legitimate place in the lineup. If it doesn't interest you, then it's quite fair for you to just pass on the set and not buy it. Can't disagree that it's overpriced, of course! 🤣
A huge problem with Lego is that the set sizes and minifigure lineups are getting smaller and smaller, while the prices are continuing to raise. The Lego Death Star was $500 and had like 24 minifigures.
@ I will agree, they do look newer, but at the same time, lazier. I have the Lego Star destosyer, and the Cal Kestis minifigure is so bland despite being a limited edition 25th anniversary figure. Even the new ARC fighter coming next year is way too stubby in my opinion.
Calling the midi falcon only “5-10$ overpriced” is so insane. It’s the size of a Jedi starfighter, which is usually about 35$. Even 50$ is too generous to LEGO, especially without minifigs. It’s nearly double the price it should be
I fully agree about Jedi Bob. I was happy as an "outsider" seeing people excited about Jedi Bob and seeing them happy, but I personally didn't care that they brought him back

I bought multiple of Rex’s Ywing to sell them when the set is retired, build is mid but dang that Rex fig isn’t that bad when you missed out on getting about 10 years ago
I will die on the hill that the Jedi Bob Starfighter is the best Jedi Starfighter Lego as ever built. When you see it in front of you it just has the most amazing shape and color combinations. Doesn't come across in pictures. It's just such a good build. But yeah a bit expensive but i love it so much i says its worth it
Thank you for putting the Onyx Cinder so high in your list. I absolutely loved the shape and design of the ship. Even without having seen the show, the ship itself is just awesome.
I saw the Firehawk at a Target clearance for $20 and people still didn't buy it. My misgiving with the Desert Skiff is that it's really just DLC to the UCS Sail Barge, an extra $80 added to the $500 price tag. My favorite set would be the Invisible Hand for the potential of building an armada of ships. I'm hoping for more capital, and even support ships, to be made in the future.
I totally agree with you about the Onyx Cinder, I have no media connection to it, but in terms of its design itself, its super cool. It has that great “distinctive star wars ship silhouette” quality about it with the unique trapazoid silhouette and VTOL pivoting thrusters. And on top of that, the interior looks neat.
Fr! Dark Falcon and the interceptor are extremely gorgeous builds. Sail barge is a very very good build but it's also very good because it has Jabba and Max Rebo making a reappearance after a whopping eleven years! Buildable 3PO just doesn't reach the same levels in my opinion.
@Leon.16 the R2 build was better then C3P0. (I have both). However they do go well together. The Dark Falcon was really cool and should have been higher.
My personal favorite sets from this year are the UCS TIE Interceptor at $230, the Midi Scale Millennium Falcon at $85, and the play scale Imperial Star Destroyer at $160. These were the only new Star Wars sets I bought this year. I also bought the 2013 UCS X-Wing Starfighter to display alongside the new UCS TIE Interceptor because I prefer it to the 2023 version, but that wasn't a new set. I will say the only other new Star Wars set I'm kind of still thinking about picking up before the end of the year is Darth Maul's Sith Infiltrator, but I probably won't since I now have a $1,000 UCS Death Star to begin saving up for lol.
The Dark Falcon is great reminder that Legos are. They are toys to be played with and to be unwrapped from gift papers. To greate great moments to remember after decades.

jedi bobs starfighter is WAY too low. top 5 set this year for sure, and not even because it has jedi bob!!! its literally just an awesome starfighter (coming from someone who already has the og jedi bob AND someone who usually doesnt care much for small starfighter sets)
if im actually gonna be honest i feel the same way about the original set it came in, the figs are classic but i think the 2002 gunship build is severely underappreciated compared to its figs
My top 3: 1: Star destroyer. Amazing and clean build, and the minifigures are a fine addition to my imperial army. 2: Sail barge. Would’ve chosen this as the #1 if it wouldn’t have been so overpriced at $500. 3: Onyx cinder. Really cool build and pretty underrated as a set in my opinion. Another thing is Leia is not the worst 25th anniversary figure. Fives is. Fives’s helmet printing is inaccurate. Leia on the other hand is an accurate and good minifigure, unlike Fives. Edit: I changed my mind about Fives being the worst 25th anniversary figure. I think it’s actually young Leia. While Fives’s helmet print isn’t that good, the rest of the figure is so good that it just feels wrong to put it at the bottom.

SHIP HAS A SLAVE1 SHAPE I WOULDNT MIND GETTING IF I FIND IN STORE
16:44 remember when battle packs were 26
You complain about R2D2 because of its eyes and your not into buildable characters but you are willing to overlook C3PO eyes and rank him way higher then you rank some sets lower because they were overpriced but ranked the falcon at number 2 when that is definitely overpriced
personally i’d put a lot of the play sets above some of the display sets further up
Proud to own the play set star destroyer : )
Overall this year was great for lsw, but those prices, sheesh
YES SIR FIVE LONELY CLONES IS BACK WITH ANOTHER BANGER
jedi bobs starfighter is WAY too low. top 5 set this year for sure, and not even because it has jedi bob!!! its literally just an awesome starfighter (coming from someone who already has the og jedi bob AND someone who usually doesnt care much for small starfighter sets)
if im actually gonna be honest i feel the same way about the original set it came in, the figs are classic but i think the 2002 gunship build is severely underappreciated compared to its figs
Use chapters.
Put numbers on the screen.
16:00 leave it to LEGO to make the best droid army builder of all time a GWP
My top 3:
1: Star destroyer.
I have the star destroyer 😁
I like the Bigfoot reference in your pfp
I thought the sarlac pit was 35 dollars wtf 💀
