In Helldivers 1, you could also turn cyborg IFVs in your allies, but in a different way. If an IFV was hit with a glancing AT blast, it would damage the treads of the tank and prevent it from moving. The turret would still circle around to point and shoot at any helldivers, but it couldn't actually move or follow them.
A really common practice I used to see with this was removing the treads of an IFV, then getting up to coax it into shooting you, then going prone or diving to avoid the cannon blast. You could effectively use it as a guided turret if you timed your movements correctly, and guide it to shoot at its own allies.
Another side effect of de-treading an IFV was it would prevent more IFVs from spawning. This was a limitation with the game, as only a certain number of IFVs could be active within a given radius. Players who frequently did high-difficulty missions against Cyborgs would deliberately glance their AT shots against IFVs, specifically to utilize them as turrets and prevent even more from dropping in.
limit would be nice in helldivers 2, got 8 chargers +3 titans today with me and my friend as 2-player squad on 9 diff
Had the game glitch out and had bile titans go through mitosis, splitting into 9. They mostly died to friendly fire and was absolutely hilarious.
Your primary weapons could also kill things as well sooooooo 😂
As a helldiver I love the Ingenuity, and the idea of using one of the automatons greatest weapons against them is simply brilliant! It this ingenuity that allowed us to Liberate the Planet of Draupnir. Keep up the good work, and let liberty shine forever more!

I had a resupply land on the butt of a larger bug did the same thing before it got killed by the impact.

Tesla coil / additional turrets on our own mechs sound very OP. I guess when they release the mech patch, it will be more than just the walker
Fun fact, you can stick a stratagem onto portable shields, very funny bug when it happens, running for your life to try and escape the drop pod

So, just today, a tank were chasing me around, since i was woefully unprepared to deal with such armor. And while i was panicking and running away from the tank + 2 patrols i obliviously aggrod in, i >accidentally< were off from the mission area for 10 seconds, so democracy itself began to punish me for it with barrages. So i had enough, and i tought "Fine, if you want me, i take that tank with me to hell".
And it actually worked xĐ
I rushed to the tank, climbed on it, began to shoot anything that shot at me, until the super carrier's shells blow me up, along with the tank :v
This gives me great hope for when they add the helldiver vehicles.

Yes, Npcs must use some kind of vision, because you can use smoke to block enemies vision.

You can also get things to land on the bugs, I always try to land any reinforce beacons on chargers, and then tell people to aim for the blue light that is moving. So you can technically do the same with the bugs I believe, they just aren't as easy to get atop of to make use of.

@@swector_unit4257 We also fond out the resupply pods can be used to destroy the Borg factories. If you aim right at the middle of the building, it will destroy the building, but as I tested out, if you aim at the front side with the vents, you will destroy it AND kill yourself.
I personally found out you CAN destroy the hive holes with a pod too, but I do not recommend it, as you WILL end up at the bottom of the hole, alive, without a way to escape or shoot. But are immune to all damage outside of your own doing in there so you can play the part of bait well.
Another thing we tested and found out, is if you land on the escape ship, for some people, it will desync and the ship will go flying off a random direction. Also apparently putting a turret below the escape ship will send it flying too. Just any sort of drop pod landing on the shuttle can sometimes make it rocket to insanity.

Since exosuit mechs are in the game, is it possible of doing all the same thing onto the mech with sentry turrets on top?
there are few things i love more than exploitable physics/enemies/placeables
Imagine being able to just call in a tank that two helldivers can crew
Borrowing from the existing two-man-reload mechanic, an optional 3rd loader seat to improve reload speed for the main cannon might be fun (and you could give the loader a machine gun to make the seat less boring)
It is probably also going to work with future player vehicles.. just some food for thought.
When player vehicles come in, this confirms we can EDF mount turrets onto the hulls for extra fun. Now can you do a HMG turret on top of a mech?

You could get 2 guys, 1 throws a shield on the tank, the 2nd guy throws the manned machine gun.
Tanks require a lot of teamwork to operate, would be sick to have full tank missions where your team acts as a tank crew, cant get out, everyone has their own job and can have limited movement to change spots or repair

I just realized we will get an actual Helldiver tank because they are adding mechs from the first game do they might add the tank from the first too.

So we can't destroy tanks by dropping a drop pod on top of it!? Is this a bug or as intended? If there is a tank with top armor strong enough to withstand a direct meteor impact from orbit, then there will be no missile strong enough to penetrate its armor...
They deal damage and can destroy tanks. Just not always in one strike
and technically to destroy em you dont go through the armour anyways. You hit the heat grill on the back of the turret
