    Montgomery is an absolute Dawg! I hope they keep the Thunder & Lightening going for years to come as it will only help preserve each player's career longer. Depending on one main guy is only an ankle sprain away to not making it to the play-offs.

    Add the fact that da Lions have one of the best O lines in football and a great quarterback and 2 out standing Rbs and 2 of the best receiver's in the NFL. Lions are scary good this year...oh hey there's a damn good D fence also.

    Re RB distribution…. I think with the improved defense there will be more games in which we won’t need the explosive playmaker late and game management is the name of the game. So while JG may be in more big moments, the actual snap distribution percentages may not change drastically. Let’s face it, the game was often still up for grabs last year even when the Lions scored 30+. With a better D, managing the game late will more common and DM will be vital to closing them out.

    I think you guys are make more out of this subject then there needs to be, they both are gonna need time off the field so their not taking big hits week after week. They complement each other and need each other so hopefully both of them can stay healthy through the whole season

  • @lbt782
    @lbt782 3 месяца назад +2

    I think most folks are just worrying about their fantasy points. We have one of the best RB combos in the league which gets us closer to the Super Bowl which is all that matters. Ben Johnson now has the task of utilizing both. If they both stay healthy this offense may be close to unstoppable. If all goes right Montgomery will keep Gibbs fresh and vice versa and we win for the next 5 years😁

    Gibbs gets more touches, but not so many Monty is irrelevant. Mark my words. Tires have so much tread to use and MCDC isn't going to waste Gibbs doing donuts in a parking lot.

    DC and BH don’t care about individual stats, they care about winning and getting to a superbowl! Gibbs is an awesome weapon and surely will be a huge factor in the success of the offense but I feel a slight disrespect for D-mont who I would definitely put as a top 10 RB. I don’t think Gibbs would be the same without Monty and a man that can deadlift 705lbs is not a man to be trifled with! He can dead lift basically two Penei Sewells!!! The duo is the key IMO

  • @timothy8766

    It's not about the production or stats he shares the backfield which is a good thing for the team. As far as talent goes he's the best back in the league right now.

    Rich is absolutely right. Lions are a better team than the jets and the falcons, they didn’t take the cuffs off gibs until like week 8 and he still killed it with Monty. 0:03 He’s full go from game 1, he’s insanely explosive, he gets pass work and will run it in. The chances Monty plays the full season, probably going to miss some time. Gibbs could be number 1 you never know he has the best opportunity. plus Barkley probably won’t finish the season, and the eagle knowing this, no way they’re going to overload him that’s crazy nonsense they’ll utilize all their backs like they have done for the past decade. no way chub will be what he was first season back, well very unlikely and why overload him when you have ford. Gibbs is 0:03 just like mccaffery duel threat. It’s also about opportunity, lions could have one of the best offences in the league. Hard to see that with the jets, and if Aaron goes down which is probably more likely than not breece might not have enough opportunity.

    I think Gibbs has the potential to be number one. Not only that, but if he stays healthy for a number of years, he may be in conversations with Barry, Bo, and Emmit. We will have to wait and see.

      Let's see if you can end up the best running back on his team before we start annoying him as one of the best of all time. I just don't think he's going to ever get the carries necessary cuz the game is changed so much in Montgomery and the rookie this year will eat into his playing time at a level those other guys never had to deal with in their heyday

    • @smudgeous4068
      @smudgeous4068 3 месяца назад +1

      Rookie Barry had better yards per attempt and over 55% more yards. Gibbs had 170 fewer rushing yards than Barry's worst season when he played only 11 games and tore his PCL.
      Barry came back the next season and spent the final 5 seasons of his career starting every game, rushing over 300 times per season, and averaging 1696 rushing yards and 1980 total yards.
      Gibbs needs at least another decade for any shot to debate who is greater

    • @ErinMobley-c8j
      @ErinMobley-c8j 3 месяца назад +1

      @@smudgeous4068 Barry is the GOAT. I'm not arguing that. I'm just saying i think Gibbs could have that kind of potential. I also believe that comparing their rookie years doesn't mean much because Barry didn't have to share with a beast like Dmont. I'm just saying Gibbs is fast, athletic, has good moves, and can catch. I don't find it wise to underestimate a player like him.

    • @smudgeous4068
      @smudgeous4068 3 месяца назад

      @@ErinMobley-c8j I don't disagree with those points, but the 8 drops on 60 catchable passes was concerning. He, Achane, and Breece Hall all make this league more fun to watch when they're healthy
