yes I totally feel that too! it's something I'm working on as well, and I think having a sketchbook where you're ok with some things not looking the best is helpful, but at the same time even that can be difficult
i love this! lynda barry has a book called 'making comics' and she specifically asks her students to use a composition book as a daily diary because of the familiarity. i highly recommend her book if you haven't read it already!

loved this concept. I've recently been getting sketchbooks from the dollar store and I still felt like that experience was a little stifling because of the blank pages, I'm gonna try this!

thank you so much! I hope you like this notebook, I really feel like it helped loosen up my drawings. and I used a small round brush with the ink! it's a lot of fun!!
If you don't like the cover, you can either tear out /cut out a page and glue it onto the cover or you could glue on a blank page and draw random doodles on it.

I actually used them when i was first starting out but in india, it is quite easy to find good quality cheap sketchbooks.
