In essence, the Midway Limited Edition XR is a good starter knife for a beginner enthusiasts. Great value at $20, and glad to have grabbed it at that price. You are spot on. Packaging and plastic feel cheap. Also, I don't like the pocket clip. The stiff action makes the thumb flick impossible for me. I am also not a fan of the knife's balance with the G10. The grip and feel of the G10 are ok. In comparison, the $25 RAT model 2 has thoughtful ergonomics, weight balance, and no plastic spacer. My Rat is Aus-8 has no flipper. If you can find the XR for $20, it's a no-brainer to find out what you want. You understand the value of knife features, design, and materials. Even better, it makes an excellent gift for a beginner knife enthusiast.
I love the terminus I've bought 9 of them. Do you still have orange one that I could buy and micarta? I've never seen those versions. I got the red g10, carbon fiber S35VN and the Walnut handles. My got one for my dad and son. So if you got some left let me know.
Awesome video man!!! 👍 I just got the Terminus XR but in the newer offering of S35VN steel. It’s crazy the price they can provide this knife at, I paid $66 on Amazon for it and that’s only $16 more than the D2 steel version. SOG IS A BEAST OF A COMPANY 🫡 The quality of every aspect of their knives is amazing, from the aesthetics to the functionality, to the materials, to the workmanship, to the cost!
The SOG Pentagon XR caught my attention with that partial double edged tip and CTS XHP steel.. but that T6 pivot screw kills me thinking about that and I actually pulled the trigger and bought that Kershaw link in 20CV steel and I WISH it was manual, so much that I bought the bareknuckle in OD green too, to compare them 👍 I'm excited
@@MattRoseKnives Limited edition means what it says. They are likely gone for good. 3 for the price of 1 and free shipping. I was beginning to think mine went missing going through the badlands, but they finally showed up. Was afraid if they had gone missing, I would be SOL.
It's bearing but they rubbish lol my clone is way way smoother that I haven't touched my genuine one since I got the clone I opened em both em to look at the difference and the clone has better bearing so I've ordered same bearings from China waiting for em to arrive so I can put them in the genuine one I'm hoping it makes it just as smooth as my clone if not I'm gonna give it away I love the clone so much I bought 4 more lol and they still cheaper then one genuine one
@@Matt-to1bi Good price. I bought one on Temu for $12, and yes it is a real SOG. It has warranty papers from Lynwood WA. I compared it to the Ozark Trail D2 knife, and it seems a bit more robust. Anyhow it sharpened up to a razor edge, so I bought two more. One in orange, one in OD green.
XR is the "proprietary" name for their crossbar lock

I have both an XR and an XR LTE. The LTE is much lighter (carbon +graphite) and has better steel S35VN.
Great vlade!
I was soooo lucky that I found with the low profile slim pocket clip. Maybe they changed them in the new batch
Could have
I just found your channel and subscribed. Keep it up 👍
Thanks Adam!
I have the green g10 and it is just a great great knife
👍👍👍

You got them bar lock knives for twenty bucks
👍👍👍
SOG is making great knives these days. Benchmade...yawn.
Quit showing other knives you own. We are not impressed and they are not simular.
Literally every reviewer does this
Wow.. stupidity
I appreciate people comparing other knives. It helps with my research when purchasing.
Wtf are you talking about? Visual comparisons help determine size and profile. No one is trying to impress anyone. Go be poor amd sad elsewhere
