Dude plays snooker too... Johnny, that was one of the most entertaining videos I think you've done. I laughed at the "Mr. Black" thing and the "communism" gunk reference... And enjoyed the video very much. It was easy to see how not being able to get that knife apart and center that blade bothered you! I bet you've got it apart already - or soon will at any rate. Thanks for a great video!
The pivot is keyed. The "nut" is on the opposite side to the pocket clip as supplied. Don't try and turn that! Mine came undone very easily. I stripped and rebuilt it using a dab of Loctite 242 on the pivot thread. It's a nice knife but the friction of the XR crossbar on the blade when using the flipper requires a definite flick, or it'll hang before locking. I've found the best way to open is to pull back the lock, which releases the blade a little, then flick the blade fully open.
The fact that it's ambidextrous is a definite plus for me. And I'm a fan of the 112 and similar sized knives, so there's another plus. Seems like a nice carry piece, thanks for your thoughts on it, buddy!
I have one, and I love it. It has bearings, and as I saw on Amazon, the lock can withstand up to 1500 lbs of force.
It's a fine edc knife.
THANK YOU!!! On the blade centering aspect.
Well, that is one of the Chinese made SOG's. All of the ones I've owned from USA/Japan/Taiwan have been perfect regarding quality and blade centering.

My pivot had zero threadlocker but I saw another YT video where red Loctite had been used. It came undone okay though, without heat.
Thanks Johnny. Nice collection of knives, but you know, "The Boss" still rules!
Used to be a pretty good pool player, never played snooker. Looks like a good spot with all the tables.
I like the blade shape. Seems like a dandy balloon ventilation device.
"Probably starting to build up a little bit of communism there.." 😂 Probably the best comment I heard this week.

I want to like the new SOG models but haven't bought any yet. Like cross bar locks & bowie blades maybe the SEAL folder would be right for me.
Does anyone here like spine locks (lockspine) and if so what country are you from?
To remove that screw you need two screw drivers at same time its not really worth it to open this
The benchmade is far better quality!
um no it wasnt all black before my blade came out in that section stainless steel straight out of the box
Boil some water let it sit for couple min in it
