AI auto recover often crashes the studio(latest version as of 07-10-2024) 3. always use latest version of recorder and studio 4. don't try to increase the height of the Eye camera to cover more capture area, I found hip to shoulder height is optimal, if we go upper foot won't track well 5. use move controller for calibration, I found checker board is time consuming 6. calibration and actions may not work on first try, you may need more than one takes 7. watch full setting up tutorial before start, don't get frustrated if it didn't work on first try, it may take some trial and errors. 8. don't track head, it never worked for me, always keep it off 9. If you want head tracking, strap a ps move controller to your head 10. you can use 3 ps move controller or equivalent for head, and both hands. But if you use old controller like me, keep in mind that, you may run out of battery in the middle of the production 11. don't record lengthy clips, make new clip every shots, because it uses more disk space 12. you need dedicated usb ports to plug in ps eye cameras, in a typical pc you may not be able to connect more than 4 cameras, you need usb port extension or another computer in slave mode 13. use active usb 2.0 extension cables, there are passive cables online that won't work 14. I use up to 20 meter cables, found no problems 15. if you want to use any other cameras than ps eye, buy cameras which records more than 60fps and more than 75 deg field of view 16. If you want to try Kinect, you can connect 2 xbox 360 kinects, or 1 xbox one Kinect which uses usb 3.0, for more connections, you need usb port extension or another computer in slave mode 17. If you want to use webcams, mobile cameras or action cameras it should have option to turn off autofocus, we need manual, focus breathing will be problem 18. there is a option to stitch offline recorded videos in ipi recorder, so you can record offline video mobile camera or action camera and transfer later 19. I wouldn't use realtime streaming option, it may compromise the quality to optimize for realtime 20. you should not wear loose cloths, choose contrast cloths from your backgrounds, wear wool cap which covers hair. It tracks face with single color, so clean shave required (in theory) for good head track. Wear long sleeve shirt under short sleeve with different color. wear solid colored cloths. wear shoe. 21. I never tried more than 1 actor, but it should work upto 3 actors like they advertised, but we better record each actor separately (occlusion) 22. light the room well, poor lighting affects capture quality, especially if you use cheap ps eye camera which is 360p. 23. room should not have moving items, like waving cloths or other than actors moving stuff 24. don't use lot of set props to occlude actor 25. use 30 day trial test out your scenario 26. buy basic version mostly enough or pro version, perpetual and rental available, we need to upgrade with money on major releases 27. worth every penny 28. In the website it says to set 1 cam to a height of 2m+ for better foot tracking, what height do you recommend?, shoulder to hip for all cameras?. I recommend full circle. I tried half circle in smaller rooms, but It won't track well if there is a self occlusion in limbs.

@@SiddTheKing Cool, My cameras around are 1.4m heigh from the ground, in my old setup I kept at around 2m, but 1.4 looks better for me.
