When the bar gets into the red, don't be afraid to just turn off your laser and back away! It will allow the rock to "cool down", and as long as the green doesn't fill, then the red will disappear completely and you can try again. This is great to do when the verse isn't doing the best stability wise (like the rock at 23:00) and you need to give the rock a break, but you don't want to miss out on the resources.
@@CaptainFlynn117Fun fact! You can’t bring them up on the elevator because they phase through the floor, so they are still useless. Even if you could, you cannot add Mole bags to the Prospector as of 3.24. Heck, once you take off the Prospector bags, you can’t put originals back on! Reclaiming replaces the bags as expected. The Mole ship itself is unaffected by this issue.
@@NatsuDragneel792 it works again in 3.24.2 but you have to shoot off the bag harness/frame to put them back on and then repair the ship when you've locked the ports again.
as I mentioned on your last mining video, the prospector CANNOT mine e rocks with a mass greater than 16-17k depending on composition. anything that is 20k or larger can only be mined by a fully crewed mole or other larger mining vessels. as for belt mining people usually go there when they don't care too much about pure profit. they go in, mine a lot of rocks, return to the refinery to refine the load, then return to the belt. its the best place to find large amounts of common materials so they boost their mining numbers through sheer quantity while in relative safety.
When I subscribed to this channel you had a few hundred subs. In just a few months you are growing faster than some of the bigger SC creators! Its a great channel and you found what people enjoy. Congrats Flynn! Very cool watching the numbers go crazy.
Hey thanks man, yeah it’s a little overwhelming to be honest, I assume I’ll hit a plateau at some point though because it’s so niche. I never could have imagined this when I started 2 months ago. I guess maybe people are tired of the generic news content and just want to watch someone roam around the ‘verse lol
I accidentally found one of your videos and decided to play it, only to discover that I had indeed played it, but a very long time ago. So I'm now downloading the game and will try it again.
You can still mine impossible sometimes depending on your setup even with passive attachments. If its around 12k size you're pushing your max but depending on resistance you can go over. Also I own a mole and upgraded my prospector with bags, its the way to go! If you need to meet up and do a bag swap let me know, I'll help you out. Also if you want Quant go to Cellin. I used to use the halo but they nerfed it. Planet mining isn't as pirate oriented as you expect. I find Quant on Cellin all the time.
That's why Aaron halo is generally a bad idea for prospector solo mining, because it would take literally half an hour or so to find just 1 rock you can mine, and it might not be a good rock. but of course if you have 2 or 3 prospector work as a group, or if you have a MOLE, Aaron halo become a much better place to do mining. and you're right about L2--Arc Corp is one of the major industry highway, NPC pirates likes to ambush players somewhere in middle of this line.
The Helix I has a minimal intensity of 20%. But you can Increase your distance to reduce the power gained. Normally I get the max range at 100% intensity and move closer bit by bit. as soon as the power starts to rise I come to a full stop and lower my intensity. After that I start to increase and decrease the intensity as needed. (20:12...nevermind)
So, you can buy mole bags from a shop. (I found them at New Bab) Only issue is, they clip through the freight elevator and because they aren't a standard upgrade, you can put them on through the mobi glass. So as of right now, you can buy them, just not put them on.
All mining laser have a minimum, the Helix min power is 20%. Try a Hofstadt. I stopped trying the gadget since the new EV doesn't let you hold still enough to adjust them.
QT mining was my favourite activity before I lost my Argo Mole to a wipe. It's an awesome vid, as always. It's really fun to see you explore every bit of the verse and try out things. Do you have a squadron by any chance ?
Glad you enjoyed! Yes we have an org and a discord, there’s a ton of helpful and awesome people in there. The links to both should be in the description
You can pick your gadgets back. And you cant get the laser lower than 20% because thats how that laser works. Lasers all work differently some can go way lower than 20%. From what i see, you just have to have some patience and gain some experience. A 10min guide vid on youtube would do wonders for you r mining.
A lot of the time you can reclaim and reuse your gadgets. I found I had better luck with getting them back when I hit the rock on the opposite side of where the gadget sat.
I just pledged with the prospector I would use the Klein S1 laser works well also spawn a mole with a salvage mission then abandon mission after u take the bags u skipped a bunch of good rocks if u do it right u can make about 200k per hour
The servers are not able to keep up with everything going on. Server meshing should solve the lag issues with the laser. Maybe not server meshing 1.0, but once there are several servers splitting up different areas of space it should go much smoother
Hey there CaptainFlynn I really enjoy your videos they are always fun to watch. But can you maybe make the cuts in the videos less frequent? It sometimes makes it hard to watch/listen to for example somewhere between 0:30 and 1:03. There is so many things you talk about in a very short time that makes it hard to watch. Love your content anyways ❤
I have no idea why they made quantanium more rare. It was still rare before and sometimes you had to look for 15-30 minutes to find a decent rock in the Halo. Makes me really angry with the developers.. it was so nice and chill to mine in the Halo and it was worth it! And then they go and make salvage like 10 times more profitable, makes no sence. I hope they change it back because quantum mining should be a big thing in this game as it is the most used fuel. I hope they fix the economy around it aswell.

Redmonster has a point to point quantum jump measurements for the whole halo showing least to most dense areas

Holding X while in EVA is how you stay steady. It's the same as the space brakes key
@ thank you. Good to know.
Nice another CaptainFlynn video
It's been a while since I tried this, but you used to be able to use bags off of a mole salvage contract...

You blew my mole up man!!(Its BleuMilk btw)
man is hopeless at regulating that mining laser
Since those gadgets released mining has become a lot more difficult for a lone pilot. I've only seen quantanium out in the wild once since then.
I find Quant alot. Pisses me off when the rock is too big to mine.

HALO mining is not good right now. Not even for the Mole. Surface mining is your best bet. Cellin, Wala, and Lyria are great for the Prospector.

is it reliable now ?
What is your "Helmet" specs?
My camera has a 4090 and a 7950x3d w/ 64 gb if ddr5 ram. My visor is one of the lg oled ultrawide variety

Why are you asking such a dumb question?
I have a 4090, 7950x3d and 64 gb of ddr5 ram. You certainly don't need those type of specs to run this game though

It makes complete sense because salvage was newer and they wanted to test it. They aren't focusing on balancing things right now
