When you say the ice maker, you mean the ice being formed dropped into the box in the freezer? Because this is what I want off not the ice maker on the door. Please reply.
My settings panel is not as sophisticated as rhat shown on the video! It just has an “O” with< and >. When I turn the ice off, as instructed, it reverts to on!
I don't have a Kenmore but I googled the answer. 0 = off and 1=numbers (temperature) dial indicate refrigerant power. The higher the number goes the colder the fridge will maintain. Setting it to 5 will make your fridge the coldest.
i recently turned on my ice maker and connected a water source after 1 year. it's only made 1 batch of ice. it's set to -3 degrees. shouldn't it be making more ice than one batch in the past 24 hours?

You mean the symbol with the lightening bolt with a null on it? That's the peak demand off, leave it lit on so it won't turn off to save freezer energy but spoil the food. I'll research the force defrost. I never had to defrost. Thanks.

And, they recommend it unplugged for 24 hours once a year to let the appliance “breathe”. I have never had this issues of owning different refrigerators over 50 years. There is a class action lawsuit for the ice maker issue. Apparently, most common issue.

I have had a samsung fridge for the past 25 years. You are right, i. Older models that is how to turn it off. I have a new one, I do what you just showed and it shows ICE MAKER OFF but a few minutes later it goes back to on again. So now it wont work

Hi is ice maker full when it is opening and closing? My Samsung ice maker was doing this when the ice maker became too full So I started turning off the ice maker when 3/4 full and then turning on when I needed ice again and that solved the problem
You can also turn the ice maker on by pressing the ice cube button to get ice dispersed and then push the lever for 5 seconds to eject ice and the ice maker light goes on automatically

Probably the temperature setup is too low. This may cause this.

Well that could be the filter but check the water if it has water going thru it. Check for kinks in the line.

For this model in the video, I don't think there's a feature for turning off that.

Sounds like a problem for a technician to troubleshoot.

If someone touches the ICE MAKER it will come back ON. Just turn OFF and ON if you want it to work. Or it could be buggy now.

When you push the cup against the lever when getting water for example it will turn on.

Hi is ice maker full when it is opening and closing? My Samsung ice maker was doing this when the ice maker became too full So I started turning off the ice maker when 3/4 full and then turning on when I needed ice again and that solved the problem

Must be a different model, this one in the video only has 1 ice maker. Did you use the OEM filter or another brand? Check the water line for kinks?

I'm not an expert on repairs. My guess is maybe the line is clogged and needs a defrost or the unit is bad.

Try raising the freezer temperature and see if it’s better.

Si parpadea a 35 F, simplemente desbloquee el panel de control y cambie las temperaturas de nuevo a 35 F. Supongo que es la parte del refrigerador.
