For me, as good as Cena vs HBK was, it's hard to not have Taker vs Hardy at one simply because that match cemented Jeff as a singles star at the end. There was no doubt, when he refused to stay down and Taker went from being more and more pissed off to impressed, it showed Taker what he had and was the proof that Jeff could actually fly solo.

That Hardy vs Taker match has always stuck with me as one of the best matches ever. There was just something about it, from the storytelling to the commentary by J.R.
It'll always be one of my favourite wrestling moments.

I still remember watching Jeff vs Taker. It took place a month before my 10th birthday and I was hoping my favorite wrestler at the time was gonna come out on top. Hands down my favorite match ever, and thanks to J.R it has my favorite call of all time. Whenever I hear J.R say that iconic line I feel like I’m a little kid all over again

I typed in "go on kid make yourself famous" in the RUclips search bar, and the first result is an already-liked video of Taker vs Hardy. I know that's not the exact quote, but I think I agree with that one. That was such a star-making match for Jeff, and he'll always be one of my favorite wrestlers, demons and all.

One of my favourite Raw main events, not because it was a great match but because it was so fun and a great way to set up stakes pre-wrestlemania was Cena & Orton vs the Raw Roster. That minute or so when they finally figure out how to work together before JBL decided he was done waiting and led the assault and DQ. Really underrated.

I remember hbk with Cena. They made it seem like there were other matches happening later so no one expected it to be that long. I think that was probably the best match I've ever seen on raw. It shows just how good Shawn Michaels is. Don't get me wrong Cena is nowhere near as bad as people think. The fact is he was the Cash cow and for the longest time they didn't want him doing anything but the basics because they didn't want him to risk getting hurt and while Cena will never be a Benoit or Guerrero type talent, he can definitely hang and when you put someone like Shawn Michaels in there who could make anybody look good, he took a quality worker like John and turned him into a fucking star that night

Maybe not greatest but some of my fondest memories: There was a Triple H vs Spike Dudley match, somehow the lower card guys were going to get a shot at the champ and Spike won the chance. Everyone assumed Triple H was going to squash him but the match went pretty long and HHH actually made Spike look like a credible threat. During the Eugene Dinsmore gimmick there was an episode where William Regal came to Eugene's defense and challenged I think it was Triple H to a match and they had a decent match, but Regal's opening promo against HHH was one of the best I can remember.

You might want to check out older main events of RAW like January 25th 1993 which saw a Loser Leaves WWF Match between Ric Flair and former Executive Consultant Mr Perfect this featured old school technical wrestling , underhanded tactics , Mr Perfect bleeding and Vince McMahon and Bobby Heenan doing their thing on commentary . Maybe not everyones cup of tea but compelling nonetheless especially in the closing stages .
