It may sound silly to some, but others might know what I'm talking about. This video, including the the commercials and network "hype" brings back good memories of anticipating a good upcoming movie on a particular night. Something we looked forward to, made plans around. A "Saturday night" (or whatever night) movie. Back then, when we couldn't just "binge" shows or movies, we made plans to watch a movie, like an event. We made popcorn or snacks, had soda, grabbed a blanket if it was cold, and totally enjoyed a movie. Not a comparison about then vs now, just brought back a sweet memory ❤

I Have to respectfully disagree🤔! People should not remain(long term) with abusers. It's up to the couple how much they can handle. This sounds like a cop-out, but you see some couples have a strong enough love to overcome the cycle of violence. Can't put a number on tolerating abuse, and certainly not your no.1🤔!! People do get angry and do lose control, and they can get help! I hope you tolerate more than you say, cause you may end up all alone?!🤨 We All lose control, We all make mistakes. I mean we know it’s way different these days, but seeing those old commercials for whatever reason make you realize just how good those days were compared to how things are now. Everything had so much more value, intention, and meaning to it. Even a simple movie night. Cell phones and the internet have ruined everything. I try as much as I can to make it feel like 1999 in my house. I can’t even take my kids out to town without them witnessing someone high on drugs. First, basically kidnapped, used and abused by that weirdo couple who took her away from her mother, forced to work like a dog and have no childhood or normality in her teen yrs, and even once she got free of them, undiagnosed bipolar disorder upended her personal and professional lives for so long.

The judicial system is so unbalanced. Victims and their families suffer endlessly but the perpetrators get light sentences and then continue with a new life. Another true story the guilty one was given life in prison for murder, which is 20 years. If it's life, it should be entire life. He was out in 6 years and could start fresh The victim however......

It is horrible that Carolyn & her family did not receive the punishment they so deserved. They killed him off by drowning. He was still alive! It was their wealth that enabled the jury & judge to let them off. Even then, the courts continued to show how corrupt they are. As far as I'm concerned, justice was never accomplished. 😢

I think the mother of the girl friend should have sentence for murder because Timmy was a live when they return to the apartment & mother redirect the action of the husbond & son to dump Tim's body in the lake, althought their daughter had stable Timmy, she should have been sentence for man slaughter, & the father & son for accessory the murder, so all parts the crime would have been sentence.

Rich girl was just like her abusive mother. I’m sure watching her for years beat her father seemed to be okay in her eyes. Since dad never left or called police on her mother convincing her even more. Being rich and entitled didn’t help either. Her not getting her way wouldn’t dare be tolerated and she expected her family to help her and they did. The whole bunch makes me sick. Rich people thinking they are above others or better than you because they have more money. They all deserved to rot in prison. The parents are just as guilty as if they killed him their self. He may of been saved if they would had took him to the doctor but we will never know cause they will all evil and only thought of their own azzes and protecting it. Patty Duke did an outstanding performance playing the mother of the murdered victim. It’s just so sad his life was taken from him so soon ,really before he even got to live much. His death was just senseless and cruel no doubt . Our judicial system just sucks and it seems to protect the guilty more than the innocent. May he R.I.P. and I pray his family found peace as well cause I couldn’t even imagine the pain they went through and continue to go through.

I tend to agree; think Carolyn knew exactly what she was doing, she clearly was uncomfortable with her mother getting angry with her father in front of Tim & then hitting him....but she felt it was 'fighting'. I don't think its a 'rich person thing' as much as it was a 'we're better than others, period' attitude. Look at how fancy even their lunch was, when the detective went over to ask questions about Timmy. They all held themselves above others & Carolyn was a malignant-narcissist. She felt she was a prize & the fact that Tim 'dared' leave her......she wouldn't allow that.
