Excellent, don't know anyone who explains the setup process so openly, its invaluable to understand how you go about it and your thought process. Think reviewers are so scarred to be wrong they dont explain it or even talk about there settings and how they got there.
Theres nothing wrong with being wrong. I think many have this famine mentality where they don’t like to share their ‘secrets’ because its what separates them from the rest. But from my perspective, if I have knowledge and don’t share it, I don’t feel I’m doing the right thing.
Mate get one, promise you its the best thing you will ever get. Depending on your budget will depend on what you can get in the range but if you can afford the signature model I would recommend custom building it. Best bike I have ever ridden if all you want to do is have fun
I just bought a used 1 year old Clash essential - with the fox 38 fork and fox x2 shock. Looking forward to getting out and having a play around with the setups, coming from a NS Fuzz 29er downhill with boxxer ultimate and Cane Creek double barrel coil i´m hoping the Clash will be my do it all bike.
I find the best spring curve and damping, then adjust the rebound and pressure to suit their weight. Where ever my best setup is will be a certain amount of sag relative to the spring setup I have, so if we get the same sag everything else will line up within a click or 2
@@mtbtelly5522 thanks for the advice pal! I use the EXT Storia in my Rune, works great! May you have the opportunity to try a Rune with coil shock once?
@@jim_morrison4583 hardtails destry your knees hips and ankles if you ride them on enduro trails. Definitely more Fad than functional. Great for the smooth trails though. Definitely want a 27.5 rear wheel on a hardtail. 29ers way to harsh on the big hits

+1 for Commencal!
How do you set these bikes up for others at a different riding weight?

@@mtbtelly5522 ah ok, makes sense 👍🏼
What size is that bike? How tall are you? Thank you.
I reckon its a small and I’m 174 cm. Setting it up for a friend
What water bottle cage is that?
Back on a 'Cal
Bands ?
With the megneg air can you use the rubber bands from rockshox monarch etc to alter the size of the negative chamber
How would you compare it to the Rune V3?
The superdeluxe craps all over the float x2 the rune comes with. Rune with a superdeluxe or coil shock would be killer

@@jim_morrison4583 yeah your rune with the ext would be absolutely killer
@@mtbtelly5522 oh yeah it is! What is your opinion about hardtail enduro bikes? I’m really interested in trying once one..
