Harvey’s eternal hunger has to be calmed for the moment before filming that is why jordan always sounds close to tears as he knows that Harvey only has so much patience.

I approve of quiting the job for Harvey. That is the correct decision. Also, that boss dude should invest in allergy medicine.
His allergies were so bad that lingering cat hair is a problem, but Jordan is not seeing any sneezing, eye watering, or breathing issues. Boss dude was just being a jerk.
@@Rikrobat To be fair, it can take a few minutes for symptoms to kick in. I used to be severely allergic to cats. Had a new coworker sit down across from me in the lunchroom at an old job, about a minute later I felt it starting, looked him in the eyes, and said "You own a cat don't you?" His reaction was pretty funny, all wide-eyed and asking me how I knew. He was nice about it and offered to relocate but I told him it was no big deal. My eyes were already starting to itch so him moving wouldn't change much.
Boss may have been a bit of a jerk about it, but constantly taking allergy meds will cause them to be less effective over time. Plus if you can avoid the cause of the symptoms, it's better because they don't always work 100%.
@@brandonchildress4031 - Oh, for sure! As someone who has gained tolerance to allergy medication, I understand needing to be moderate with it. My point is more that no symptoms were given in the story at all, which makes the boss’s reaction a little bit suspicious. I don’t know the person, so I can’t say he was lying, but it just came across as odd.

Harvey’s completely relaxed in Jordan’s arms, he’s constantly giving those little winks that cats do when they’re comfortable and checking in (you can tell your cat ‘it’s okay’ back by winking back,) he’s got his little feets reaching up out of the scoop towards his human’s face. Cat servant memes are cute to a point but he’s just a little guy with no concept of that. Cats are full of love and Harvey is clearly bonded to his parent, just looking up at him like “YEAH☺️”

I know, me too. My old cats liked to be held. But this one was a feral so he never imprinted on humans until he was an adult.

his dad answered the door while holding Harvey, which means these absolute legends _as a family_ are just walking around all day holding these cats like babies.
Cats don’t like to have their bellies exposed because it makes them vulnerable to attack. Cats exist right in the middle of the food chain, they are never at the top, never at the bottom, so they can’t relax in the wild, their predators are both diurnal and nocturnal (cats are crepuscular) so they are always in danger. Usually the mere willingness to let us _see_ their bellies (but not touch them!) is an honor that only the most secure cats will feel comfortable with. Being held that way is incredibly risky for them and probably very scary because they have no defenses and no control over what happens.
So being comfortable (even happy!) with this position; imho; indicates that these cats have never been uncomfortable or afraid before, this family must never stomp, slam things, or raise their voices, shd they must have been the most loving, gentle and thoughtful cat parents from day 1. What you see before you is a perfectly raised young man and perfectly raised cats. Jordan’s parents should write a book.
The fact that this is a cat who has attempted to spell, was such a rockstar that he got banned from the vet, and has outright called the police on Jordan in retaliation for not being fed enough. This may explain why Jordan sounds like he is in SEVERE distress whenever he's in a video with Harvey

It's the name "Harvey." I had a rabbit named Harvey and he was internet-famous at the dawn of the web (first rabbit with his own web page), and people knew him all over Boston and he was slightly known around the planet. He has been dead (from old age) for over 20 years and to this day there are places I can go where he first thing they'll say to me is "how's Harvey?" (I put on my best imitation of Twin Peaks and say "he's dead! Wrapped in plastic!" - he actually is, I have his ashes in a plastic jar.) The Animal Formerly Known As Rabbit was also a little bit famous, but he only made the newspaper, nothing approaching Harvey's heights.

He talks about Harvey the same way I talked about my animals. Over the past couple years both cats and our dog passed. We’re down to the cockatiel and the tortoise now. The loudest, most opinionated, most demanding, most clingy pets are the ones you miss the most when they’re gone.
Awe, I hope you’ll consider giving more guys a safe and loving home. What you have is a precious and scarce resource for animals. Maybe at least consider fostering? I hope you’ll extend your love to another lucky animal soon. 💙
I have the female version of Harvey. Her name is Malibu & her entire 20# persona is, "you owe me everything I want for tolerating you in my world".
Domestication means that we have chosen an animal that we deliberately artificially selected for traits we want them to have, including a predictable, trainable temperament, trusting humans from birth, breeding animals that do not, and cannot, survive in the wild. Cats are not technically domesticated because they are the only pet we have that historically chose us, (twice!), and came to exist on their own, and could go back to existing on their own at any time if they so chose.
So you might say cats domesticated us. I mean, they’re _very good_ at training humans, and honestly I wouldn’t last long in the wild without cats!
I am convinced that Harvey just absorbs all of Jordan's aggressive energy, and his siblings fill Jordan with positive vibes & love.

I used to have a cat that looks exactly like Harvey. His name was Sully and had the exact opposite personality as Harvey. He was the chillest cat and loved to be around people and cuddled. He always loved new guests and people in general.
