Based off what I've seen Jordan Peterson is not the type of scientists to be skeptical about this sort of thing. I believe if you'd be talking to a physicist or a chemist you'd have a very different experience.
I've watched many of his videos. I don't agree with the view that Christian values are necessarily the basis for Western civilization. Especially when speaking of The United States. One could argue that the founding of the United States was actually a negation of Judeo-Christian values at least when it comes to governance. That policy largely changed in the fifties in response to communism but the United States was largely founded as a secular country.
lol like out of all the irrational explanations Jordan Peterson comes to, not one of them is "There is a lunatic cleaning lady who thinks it's polite to leave the drawers open after cleaning".
I was hoping the ghost of the not-a-cook knew who Jordan Peterson was, and would respond to the raw eggs exclamation that "You have to be precise!" That would've been the perfect response, given who we're speaking about lol.
Those two closing lines were fucking brilliant despite their simplicity 😂 "He must've been a ghost!" "Well he wasn't a waiter, and he certainly wasn't a cook!" What the hell hahaha
I think it was just some random dude doing a hustle for some cash that didn't even work there. Probably took so long because he had to go home and get some eggs and back again to cook them haha

I have also had two supernatural experiences. One was in 1990. I was living in the back room of a house here in L.A. owned by my friend. The house is on a hill and the room had a sliding glass door and was facing a fairly steep terrace with steps and two levels with chairs, etc . I had fallen asleep with my desk lamp on and the phone rang at about 3 A.M. It was a weekday work night so no, I was not drunk or on any drugs. I answered it and a very urgent male voice said "Turn the light off. Turn the light off!" That's all it said; I was alarmed as I thought the call must be an emergency at that hour but I hung up and turned the light off. I was kinda creeped out but I opened the curtains and looked out the sliding glass door. There, on the second level of the terrace I saw a figure, a male stooped on his haunches and casually smoking a cigarette. Looked like an older male. I really felt the adrenaline electrify my spine. He was looking right at me very intensely and directly into my eyes; I still remember the eyes to this day. I figured he was a transient or some peeping Tom. Strangely, after a minute or so I did not feel any sense of danger.. He just remained in that position and stared at me intently with this intense curiosity. I soon decided I better go across the hall and notify the owner of the house but I had to turn the light back on to do so. After I turned it on I looked one more time so as not to make a fool of myself and the figure was gone. The next day I barely started to tell my friend what I experienced and he shrugged. "Oh, that's just our ghost. I have heard him on the steps inside the house several times. He was smoking, right?" I said "Yes". He said, "Well. two men have died in this house before I owned it." I've never forgotten the experience. My other story is wild too, but this comment is long enough already, lol...

Sometimes I think about the students Jordan Peterson would take the time to go see and feel bad about my life. Haha. How amazing do you have to be to have a personal visit with Dr. Peterson. Maybe I'm just being presumptuous but I really look up to that man.
I have a hypothesis that some of these older hotels do stuff like this to their guests on purpose to create that haunted feeling to hype people up and get them talking about it.
I'm sure it happens. It's a good hypothesis. Peterson claims that while he wasn't looking, one of the drawers was pulled out again while he was in the room. Who knows. And the reaction of the clerk who says she brings a bat to work. It sounds like she had a genuine fear of the place.
Guys, Quantum physics is a real science that explains that some évents cannot be explained and that there are other dimensions beside our and even that the afterlife exist. I cannot prove it to you but I do expériment those notions in my everyday Life.
My hypothesis is that a member of the hotel staff had a drug problem. I worked in restaurants throughout college, only someone senile or extremely high would plate raw eggs.
Quite possible. People do this all the time. There was a ghost story at work everyone would tell to keep it alive, about doors opening by themselves and stuff. Scared me to death because I'm gullible. Turns out it was all just a game by the seasoned people.
What Dr Peterson left out was that he dropped so much knowledge on that ghost. So much knowledge it exorcized the spirit and sent it packing into the next life.
My wife and I live in a very active 140yr old home that's had a long history of unexplainable stuff happen over the 20 years we've owned it. Jordan's story about the drawers made me chuckle, since that's a very common occurrence throughout the house on numerous occasions. The most remarkable time was in the basement when every drawer in a series of 4 rubbermaid storage units was pulled open in a step pattern, bottom drawer in each unit pulled out the farthest, the next above not as far...and so on. All perfectly balanced so they didn't tip forward. Military precision...which we came to recognize over the years. Previous generational owners had a great-grandfather (ex-military) who apparently died in the living room decades ago. We never found out about this history until long after we'd bought the house and started having all these strange occurrences happen. Foreign currency would appear from all over the world, stuff would be moved around the house, lights turned on and off by themselves, rows of dimes placed on countertops in specific patterns. The list goes on and on...
And you’ve never once thought about setting up cameras to catch this stuff on tape? With how cheap and easy it is to setup security/nanny cams are these days I would have gotten five or more and set them up in the most active areas to satisfy my need to know.
@@maxfightmaster1338 Was never a priority. The occurrences were extremely sporatic often with long gaps (even years) inbetween. And they happened all over the house - I'd have to set up and monitor too many cameras on a routine basis...I have other expenses and things to do unfortunately. Never went to Ghostbuster school.
I stayed in a small hotel with a restaurant with a similar menu situation. You just order what you want and they make it. Turns out they just got the order and went to the market next door and bought whatever was needed to make it. Hence the long delay and high price.
At 2:49. I have experienced that before living in an old farm house. Ghosts love opening cabinet doors and clothing drawers. They also like opening closed doors to rooms.
All the events I tell you about happened in my Grandpa's house in Poland years ago. My sister was sleeping in the room, where my grand grandmother's death bed was. She had intense dreams. She dreamt of my grand grandma talkin to her, after that she touched my sisters shoulder and she instantly woke up. She swore that she could felt a touch on her shoulder after waking up. It was kinda cold. We also, heard the spirit of my grand grandmother coming down the stairs a decade ago at my grandfathers house. We were sitting in the kitchen and we heard the creaking as like somebody would come down the stairs. My grandpa said: That's granny coming down for breakfast. On another occasion I was sleeping in the bedroom by the anterroom. In the anterroom, by the said staircase to the upper floor, was a cage with plastic birds and a laser sensor, which made the birds sing if someone past by. I woke up in the night because they started to sing three times in a row. I know there was nobody out there because you could normally hear the cracking of the boards if someone would walk on them. I was so afraid I had to curl under the sheets. The next morning I told my grandpa about and he said it was him going to the toilet. But I know he just tried to calm me down. :) RIP Pa. I miss you.
The more logical explanation is that the hotel wanted to increase business and the owners were pranking visitors to create the rumor of the ghosts in order to make more money.
So the staff risk entering the room with guests inside, perhaps with the aid of planted cameras in the room (so they know when they're sleeping/showering) so they can freak them out, of course risking being shut down or sued (if caught), all in the hope that the guests may tell their friends about the event and perhaps attract some ghost hunters. Seems legit.
What money is to be made by having an empty place that you prank guests, rather than having a hotel where guests want to be there and spend money? Is this seriously what you think? An owner has a buisness and just pranks guests to generate money? Have you ever heard of a business that does this and remains successful, as opposed to actually running a business? How many people want to stay somewhere where the owner harasses them? Gives them raw food and charges them a ton of money, just to make money? This is such a stretch. Sure, it's possible that creating rumors of a haunted place is an intention, but when have you ever heard of people wanting to stay at places where they are scared? Or they have an idea that may be being pranked? Or they get over charged for shitty service? Was the girl as the front desk a plant, just so when someone mentioned the draws, she can say " yeah, its haunted?" Aye ye ye. The lengths people go to... Sure, you may be right. I just don't think it makes sense.
“Do you have any supernatural experiences?” Me: haha Peterson’s a clinical psychologist he prob laughs at people who believe in that stuff Peterson: Mhm. Me: oh
I once asked my mother out of boredom the most ridiculous esoteric question which I can't even recall. She responded with a 'what?' and I told the answer to the question I proposed to her. It was a question so out of the blue that I wish I could remember it. She just said I dreamed you asked me that question down to her own response and my answer to a tee. I was tossing an apple up in the air while she was doing dishes on the sink. She said she was right here doing the dishes while I was throwing an apple around and asked that exact question. My first thought was it is likely to be a strong case of deja vu, but she said in a lucid tone, I just dreamt this. In my experience deja vu gives an eerie feeling that you have been in a certain situation before but never is it recollected by a quick experience from a dream. I thought about it for about 10 minutes and forgot about it.
True Story: I grew up in a trap house and my mom beat me severely and my dad was never there. Depressed, no parents, nobody else wanted to take out trash so they chose me cause I was a nice pushover, met my child hood idol, and chnaged my life forever. NOT chance. Supernatural 100%. The idea of a fancy restaurant where you can order literally anything, but they also take your order quite literally (eg. you order eggs, don't specify how to be made) quite entertaining actually. But, you know, with proper waiters and staffing in general.
Exactly.. Surely it's more logical for a member of hotel staff/opportunist thief to open draws looking for jewellery or a wallet that would fit in their pocket, not a laptop which would be hard to conceal..
@@rebelwithoutapplause5629 didnt you listen to him? He was talking about that same causes but he tried him them self he tried to shake the draws himself and they didnt open a inch..
Because Jordan Peterson is a relatively respectable, logical, wise man, and he's telling us a first hand account of something that is very difficult to explain as anything other than supernatural. Feeling eerie, is imo a correct, healthy response to such a thing. Not saying this is the best account of these things, but it certainly is legitimately interesting, eerie and convincing. Simply having the draw open behind you, when you are in the same room and shut it just moments before, is absolutely not right, and that should disturb you, or at least make you seriously question what it could possibly be.
Jordan’s story Réminds me of when I was a teen. My parents had gone to church on Wednesday evening and my two younger sisters and I were to do dishes etc . We did and two girls friends came to see us. We all went into the living room and at down and it was like we all just kind of “deflated”a were quiet. All of a sudden I swear we all 5 stood up and kind of did an “Archie and Meathead” out the front door and ran across to a neighbors house. Started giggling because it was funny and scary at the same time. We all just got the creeps at the same time. About an hour ? Later we went back in thru the front door and I went into the kitchen and every drawer and cabinet was wide open. Like it exploded almost. I had never been comfortable in this house- we moved there when I was almost 9 and I was probably 14/15 when this happened. The house was maybe 7 years old when we moved there so less than 15 years old. But we were on a cul de sac surrounded by woods at the edge of town - one of the oldest in Ohio- and it was creepy . Always felt like I was being watched there
All I can think of is that all the drawers are of the same brand and/or model, and these draws are slightly non-level aiming down, so overtime gravity slowly pulls the drawers out until it hits a tipping point where it goes all the way out which happens every day or so, and some drawers might not have this because the floor may not be level in the other direction or its rusty or whatever, and maybe bumps or movement can expedite the process? I don't know just a thought.

"Do you have any ghost stories? It's ok if you say no" JP: "mhm" 💀💀
This was the weirdest "ghost" story I've ever heard. What the hell
LOL
I thought he was gonna clear his throat and his voice was gonna get deeper
The Don douchey jacket
The ghost was just a fan of Coolio and wanted to obnoxiously tell everyone
Yh Jordan left out the detail where he walked into the bathroom to find fantastic voyage written in shit on the mirror.
Ok
I stayed in a small hotel with a restaurant with a similar menu situation. You just order what you want and they make it. Turns out they just got the order and went to the market next door and bought whatever was needed to make it. Hence the long delay and high price.
Nouser name that actually seems really nice tbh
Jordan, what a humble man to give a chance and time to H3
Imagine the waiter was a ghost that possessed some guy and tries to act human and was just getting it all wrong
The hotel reception girls response with the baseball bat was classic, that should be in a movie.

Nope
At 2:49. I have experienced that before living in an old farm house. Ghosts love opening cabinet doors and clothing drawers. They also like opening closed doors to rooms.
The keyword here is "old". Old furniture does that due to wear and tear. Nothing to do with ghosts. Try replacing them with new drawers.
Honestly Jordan looks like the twins from Dishonored....
shit, man, he does look like he's straight out of Dishonored here.

RIP Pa. I miss you.
I like to imagine Jordan was kidnapped by aliens simulating reality and so they didnt know eggs should be cooked and that they shouldnt cost 80$
K Rel I love this lol 🥰💖👌✨
"People on this planet cook their eggs? WTF?"
THESE EGGS ARE RAW
The waiter was definitely jus smokin crack in the back n forgot to cook the eggs lmao
Jordan ! Awesome for having him on!
Love to hear more stories like this on podcast....
Ghost: how do you like your eggs?
Peterson: fertilized
The more logical explanation is that the hotel wanted to increase business and the owners were pranking visitors to create the rumor of the ghosts in order to make more money.
No, it was magnets.
Was the girl as the front desk a plant, just so when someone mentioned the draws, she can say " yeah, its haunted?"
Aye ye ye. The lengths people go to...
Sure, you may be right. I just don't think it makes sense.
I thought the same. But not because of money... just some asshole trying to scare people.
“Do you have any supernatural experiences?”
Me: haha Peterson’s a clinical psychologist he prob laughs at people who believe in that stuff
Peterson: Mhm.
Me: oh
Also me:......well this just got interesting!
When I was 16 I met Jackie Chan taking out trash at my job, I watched him growing up he was like a dad to me. I shook his hand and loved it. Toronto Canada, 2002.
But,I met him taking out trash? Depressed, no parents, nobody else wanted to take out trash so they chose me cause I was a nice pushover, met my child hood idol, and chnaged my life forever.

Supernatural 100%.
Think about the odds of what I just said..... sure I could be lying..... Unfortunately theres no real way to prove it. I assure you it happened though.

1408 is aactually a very good film that has been critically acclaimed and even has a cople of video essays on RUclips analysing the themes and ideas expressed within it.
The idea of a fancy restaurant where you can order literally anything, but they also take your order quite literally (eg. you order eggs, don't specify how to be made) quite entertaining actually. But, you know, with proper waiters and staffing in general.
Make this man your role model, follow his rules and actions you would have much less to worry about in life
Jordan Peterson : "stealing computers is logical"
Exactly.. Surely it's more logical for a member of hotel staff/opportunist thief to open draws looking for jewellery or a wallet that would fit in their pocket, not a laptop which would be hard to conceal..

This is the first time I’ve seen Jorden laugh and smile loads… how absolutely perfect. 🤣♥️
Why does this feel so eerie to me
Usually things that are true, tend to make us "feel" the most.
Either Christoph Waltz or Daniel Day Lewis would nail playing him in a movie
Or Peter Capaldi

Jordan Peterson: Well That's I N T E R E S T I N G
Always felt like I was being watched there
Was DEFINITELY some kind of ghost...The invisible hand of the market 🤣👌
SPOOKED YA
How was the ride?
Hope you had a pleasant stay...
Somewhere there's a kitchen of ghosts scrambling to learn how to cook eggs.
Jordan Peterson is such a straight shooter, absolutely love this man!
