6:54 the reason why Coyote Peterson is holding the toe biter willingly like that is because he's legitimately insane, he has a series of videos of him willingly getting stung by every insect on the Schmidt pain scale and showing his reactions... Also he's not Australian, I'm pretty sure he lives in Utah, so he's the closest you can get to Australian without actually living in Australia. All in all, I love Coyote and his videos are awesome.

    Hello from down under😄..
The spider in the car is one of our Australian tarantulas. I lived in Yallingup and left my car door open one night. The house next door had been in the middle of renovations so a displaced tarantula moved into my car. A few days later I noticed the whole interior roof from the front to the back had been woven into a huge web. Moments prior to this revelation I was sitting in the driver's seat at 11pm talking to my partner in Perth as She( the tarantula) quietly dropped down next to my face and put her feet on my cheek.. I screamed so loudly as I kicked open the car door and threw my phone on the ground which ended the call, my partner thought I had been killed😂😂.
Once I calmed down I realised the massive web was there. This is in country and I had no choice but to drive the car home and the tarantula was in residence for some time.. she became the car mascot and often freaked me out until one day she was gone..

I'm chortling over here, "From the laws of the jungle, that's the spider's car now." Pretty much my thoughts exactly. I hate spiders so much that I freeze solid in fear when I see one. So I began making myself watch videos of spiders, people who keep spiders as pets, any and all jumping spider videos (because peacock jumping spiders are really cute), and this one Australian guy who I believe is on a mission to scare the beegees (you know, when your throat is too tight to scream so you sound like Barry Gibb?) out of anyone who may be inclined towards not liking spiders. I still don't like spiders after all that, but I don't freeze solid anymore when I see one, so that's progress.

When I was 10 my dad took my mom and me on a speed boat in the lake. I hadn’t seen in him years so it was supposed to be a fun get together. But while we were in the middle of the lake, spiders 🕷️ started to come out of flooring and sides of the boat. And I’m talking about a ton of them. Big ones, small ones. I never thought so many spiders could be together if they weren’t the same species. I’m a severe arachnophobic, so my 10 year old ass decided to just out of the boat😅. I figured I would rather swim to shore than to be in a boat with 🕷️. My mother had to grab me from jumping into the lake and sit on me to keep me in the boat. It was a horrible experience. Years ago, I had to wash clothes by hand because my washer broke. It was summer so I made it a thing, staying outside and washing clothes in a metal tub while drinking soda and listening to podcasts. I went inside at one point and before starting another batch of clothes, I took a sip of my drink.
Now, I can’t remember if I heard something first, but I do remember feeling something funny in my mouth. I had it between my molars and kind of nudged it with my tongue before I spat everything out. Imagine my horror when I see a bee walking around in the puddle of sugary goodness. Not only had I almost swallowed a bee, but I had also held it between my teeth and basically pet it with my tongue!
I was so relieved that I didn’t get stung that once the shock wore off, I used a stick or lead to get it somewhere safe to dry off.

3:30 that’s called a whip spider. Here’s some info on them.
Amblypygi is an order of arachnid chelicerate arthropods also known as whip spiders or tailless whip scorpions (not to be confused with whip scorpions or vinegaroons that belong to the related order Thelyphonida). The name "amblypygid" means "blunt tail", a reference to a lack of the flagellum that is otherwise seen in whip scorpions. Amblypygids possess no silk glands or venomous fangs. They rarely bite if threatened, but can grab fingers with their pedipalps, resulting in thorn-like puncture injuries.
As of 2016, 5 families, 17 genera and around 155 species had been discovered and described.[2] They are found in tropical and subtropical regions worldwide; they are mainly found in warm and humid environments and like to stay protected and hidden within leaf litter, caves, or underneath bark. Some species are subterranean; all are nocturnal. Fossilized amblypygids have been found dating back to the Carboniferous period, such as Weygoldtina.[1] Amblypygids range from 5 to 16 centimetres (2.0 to 6.3 in) in legspan.[2][4] Their bodies are broad and highly flattened, with a solid carapace and a segmented abdomen, or opisthosoma. Most species have eight eyes; a pair of median eyes at the front of the carapace above the chelicerae and 2 smaller clusters of three eyes each further back on each side.
Amblypygids have raptorial pedipalps modified for grabbing and retaining prey, much like those of a mantis;[5] recent work suggests that the pedipalps display sexual dimorphism in their size and shape.[6] The first pair of legs act as sensory organs and are not used for walking. The sensory legs are very thin and elongate, have numerous sensory receptors, and can extend several times the length of the body.[2]
Amblypygids have eight legs, but use only six for walking, often in a crab-like, sideways fashion. The front pair of legs are modified for use as antennae-like feelers, with many fine segments giving the appearance of a "whip". When a suitable prey is located with the antenniform legs, the amblypygid seizes its victim with large spines on the grasping pedipalps, impaling and immobilizing the prey. This is typically done while climbing the side of a vertical surface and looking downward at their prey.[7] Pincer-like chelicerae then work to grind and chew the prey prior to ingestion. The tailless whip scorpion may go for over a month in which no food is eaten; often this is due to premolt. Due to the lack of venom the tailless whip scorpion is very nervous in temperament, retreating away if any dangerous threat is sensed by the animal.
Courtship involves the male depositing stalked spermatophores, which have one or more sperm masses at the tip, onto the ground, and using his pedipalps to guide the female over them.[8] She gathers the sperm and lays fertilized eggs into a sac carried under the abdomen, or opisthosoma. When the young hatch, they climb up onto the mother's back; any which fall off before their first molt will not survive.
Some species of amblypygids, particularly Phrynus marginemaculatus and Damon diadema, may be among the few examples of arachnids that exhibit social behavior. Research conducted at Cornell University suggests that mother amblypygids communicate with their young with her antenniform front legs, and the offspring reciprocate both with their mother and siblings. The ultimate function of this social behavior remains unknown.[9] Amblypygids hold territories that they defend from other individuals.[10]
The amblypygid diet mostly consists of arthropod prey, but these opportunistic predators have also been observed feeding on vertebrates.[2] Amblypygids generally do not feed before, during, and after molting. Like other arachnids, an amblypygid will molt several times during its life.[2] Molting is done from hanging from the underside of a horizontal surface in order to use gravity to assist in separating the old exoskeleton from the animal. Several species of Amblypygi are sold and kept as pets including Damon diadema, Damon medius, Damon variegatus, Euphrynichus amanica, Heterophrynus batesii, Acanthophrynus coronatus, Phrynus marginemaculatus and Paraphrynus mexicanus.[11] Tailless whip scorpions are kept in tall (>45 cm; >18 in) glass enclosures which allow for two things: Enough vertical space for climbing and moulting, and enough space for heat to dissipate in order to keep the enclosure between 70 °F and 75 °F. Five centimetres (two inches) of substrate at the bottom of the enclosure is generally sufficient to allow for burrowing and also serves as a method to retain water in order to keep the humidity above 75%. Tailless whip scorpions live anywhere between 5-10 years. Feeding can include small insects such as crickets, mealworms, and roaches.

Ok so, zoology nerd time bc I like bugs :)
The first bug is called a whip spider, a totally harmless arachnid that is closely related to scorpions, true spiders and ticks
The second one is probably a wolf spider? I’m not sure but it’s a spider for sure (not a tarantula) she definitely had babies somewhat recently though (but anyone could tell you that)
I’m not sure about most of the beetles but the second to last video is of a Huntsman Spider, a common spider in Australia and they like to hide in any little nook they can (especially in cars, houses, the woods, etc.), they have a pretty potent venom but they’re dangerous mostly because of their hiding places which scare people when they’re found
For the last video centipedes CAN NOT eat humans (their venom is rough but it cant kill you unless you happen to be allergic to the toxins), centipedes also eat by chewing whatever prey they catch their mandibles on the underside of their heads (not their pedipalps which are what actually inject venom)

For the "what is that": 3:20 - Tailless whip scorpion. The front is where the two pincer-like legs form a 'T' shape. Harmless. But very glad I knew that when I first saw one (I was on a toilet).
Spider at 5:30 is is probably a Sparassid - so huntsmen and rainspiders. Big, a little grumpy when they have babies but not really dangerous. Most spiders are very good mothers (including Sparassidae), so those probably are its babies.
Toebiters and other diving bugs are not flexible. Easy to hold them without risk of biting.
9:42 is just a fruit chafer. This is a male in the Goliathini tribe. It barely has jaws as an adult (so if it does bite, it isn't anything to write home about), and mostly feeds on sweet sap from acacia and similar trees. An extended warranty wouldn't work because it barely lives a month.
Gerald looks like a Hercules beetle. The Pokemon horn is for wrestling other Geralds. Same family, different subfamily, as the previous clip.
And don't open car windows to shoo a spider out of a moving car. It will move away from the rushing air, and towards the interior of the car.
Can't speak for Australia, but the giant centipedes (Scolopendromorpha) that we have here in Zambia are generally more retiring than (some of) our spiders, but I am much more wary of them because their bites are worse.

I've never agreed with anyone's reaction more. My friend and I were eating lunch at a picnic table outside in the sunshine under a tree, when she stopped and said hold on. Then she reached over and flicked something off my shirt and said, "you had a little green grubby on you. You would have freaked". Yes I would have.

The first bug that you showed reminds me of that scene in the goblet of fire where the fake mad eye Moody was torturing what looked like the creature in the first video

Proud of you for facing your bug fears! I used to be so afraid especially of spiders. I slowly started exposure therapy through animal husbandry videos. Ants Canada is a good place to start. He has a channel dedicated to any keeping. Pretty cool.

I can’t tell you the number of times I screamed watching this. SO glad I didn’t watch it at work. Only reason I stayed was because Jordan did. His voice soothed me enough to make it through and his reactions made mine feel validated😌

That story time made me remember when I was in 5th grade a classmate of mine brought to school a big ass black spider with yellow spots on it's butt and it escaped and we all thought it went out the window but my word! When I was sitting on my chair I kept feeling like there was a loose thread on my leg and when I checked, I had a lot of yellow webs! My soul literally left my body when I saw it hiding under my chair! To this day, every time I feel that same sensation on my body I freak out! I am forever scarred.

There are adorable moth plushies available for weirdos who enjoy moths and think they're cute, like me. I put one on my wishlist and my Auntie sent me a cuddly Poodle Moth. It's absolutely one of my favorite things ever.

Beetles and moths are definitely a lot more capable of being cute than other bugs. Sometimes I think grasshoppers can be cute, but I definitely get the phobia, especially with spiders.

    I just remembered this.
Just sitting at home, it’s cold and it’s dark outside and then bang. What looked like a small bird rammed itself into the window. It took me a little to realise that it was a huge as moth.
There’s another story regarding my brother and big moths but it sounds way better in person than if I tried to write it out.

I completely understand that fear. I was car-jacked by a June bug. I gave up my car and the guy at taco bell had to move my car out of the drive thru. Peace and love to you.
