This is indeed a villains theme, it’s the theme of Sephiroth one of gaming most iconic villains. The arranger of this new version, actually developed shingles due to the pressure he felt whilst trying to make sure this new arrangement honoured the original.
Well he did a great job. Some ppl prefer Advent Children (might have the better vocal parts, not a fan of the electric guitar stuff) but this is practically the definitive version now. They knocked the Remake music out of the park. I get a little misty-eyed with a lot of it, it's like they remastered my childhood
This might quite honestly by the best theme for a villian in general... just my opinion though
Did the composer really?! I couldn't imagine that kind of pressure. His theme is so iconic. The 7R version is absolutely amazing imo. I love the tempo increase toward the end, and how they time it with Sephiroth's countdown. It really makes the situation and his countdown feel that much more dire and intense.
It uses all of the One Winged Versions available and made one unique version!
Imagine the pressure Uematsu felt trying to make sure this is perfect in honor of his own work back in '97.
It was interesting that you said, "The Hero is coming.", Sephiroth was actually a former hero who went mad when he discovered his origins.
thinking about , OWA is very much like the Imperial march in the sense that you know Sephiroth is coming.Ans he was a hero just like Anakin was. Very similar stories

This man is literally trying to change history by tormenting Cloud by making him sad to be real just because Cloud killed him like 3 times. 💀
Yeah First he threw him into the Mako Reactor in Crisis Core
Than he killed him a second time in the Lifestream with the legendary Omnislash in FFVII
And last but not least he killed hin with the legendary Omnislash Version 5 via Fusion Sword in Advent Children
Can‘t wait how Cloud will kill him in the third Part of the FFVII Remake trilogy we will see
In my opinion this is the absolute BEST and most Epic musical piece created. Not just in gaming. Its so intense, Epic, Strong, Forceful, yet Beautiful

@@w1nther930 the original melody never really gets to show its self, it's there a second then gets replaced. And as you said, only my opinion ofc.
@@rosen8757 Well i can see that being the case as it really only shows up in some parts and at the start of the 3rd phase.
I remember someone saying that his interpretation of the song is that the original tries to be there but Sephiroth is litterally changing the future due to us fighting him here, so thats why it sounds so different.
@@w1nther930 that's cool and fits in with the overal theme of the remake with the whispers trying to correct the timeline.
Great reaction, You were right saying the villain is coming the one winged angel is Sephiroths theme tune. By the looks of the video they’ve made really hard to beat again took me a little while the fist 2 encounters.
Honestly the nastiest version I ever fought him in was hard mode Kingdom Hearts. If you've not played Remake yet, you NEED TO! Best wishes!
The March and reprise are most important because it means the entrance of an an unstoppable evil. Sephiroth is the unstoppable force meeting an immoveable object.

Final fantasy music is sooooo good
Fun thing is before this happens you spend a huge slog of time fighting something you think is the final boss.
Then a cutscene happens you assume is part of the end..... Then this starts playing.
Yeah. Lets just say you don't expect this. The normal reaction is 'Oh shit this happening NOW?!'
The sheer panic from the early lets players as the realisation hit them XD
