Which also could be what RM was referring to when he said " thinking of not thinking at all is still thinking..." , this could be him talking about anxiety/overthinking which is also what a moonchild does as well. Again, there are other meanings to 'moonchild'; this is just my interpretation.

Moonchild / child of the moon is actually a term I've used for years, since before BTS was even a thing, when writing poetry. I used it to refer to all of us who feel safer in the night, in the shadows, because then we don't feel darker that everyone else, I struggled with depression and anxiety for 8 long years, and for the longest time, the only time I could breathe was at night, when I felt my demons weren't as apparent. And I feel like RM used it in a similar way, he's saying "yes I know you don't feel great, I know you're sad, and you're carrying all these demons and darkness, but that does not define you, you are the brightest light in the dark sky". Moonchild is one of my favorite tracks with Tokyo, Uhgood, and Everythinggoes.

yes the singing in 2 different tones is a common technique for rappers that want to sing in a higher key on songs! i do sometimes as well!!!! and it's interesting cause sometimes i learn things as i evaluate these songs and how they're constructed so, it's fun for both of us

They get me every time how they don't make music only for commercial purposes , how every little thing worked out right for them . RM's 'mono.' album is one of my favorite albums of all time. It's a beautiful, beautiful piece of art. The fact that he released this work for free is just mind-blowing. It's such an introspective piece. RM's talked about his struggles with depression, anxiety, loneliness, and overthinking. This album expresses both a personal struggle and universal pain felt by all humans. It's a masterclass in expression.

In these lives he shares his thoughts over the album, what inspired him when making songs, the music producer life, the stories about all the proccess of doing what he loves... He told us he started to work on "moonchild" back in february 2017! "People who prefer the night. [...] During the day, feeling choked, whether it's because of the job or something. Then at night, getting away from other's eyes and getting away from the shackles. People who feels a sense of freedom. I think there'll be lots of people like that. Especially people these days", that's what he told us about this song. *thefeels* When you finish reacting to "mono.", I think you should definitely check out that live. I'm subscribed to a bunch of Kpop reactors on RUclips, but none of them are anything like your's. Because of your channel, I've learned to appreciate music a lot more and the different layers of sounds that are used to create them, as informative as your videos are, they are just as funny but it's lead me to start listening more carefully to the instrumentals of tracks and developing a better sense of admiration towards music creators, like yourself, because of the information and experiences you have to share. Then watch again to really hear what you're pointing out. RM mixtape doesn’t have original beats hence why it’s a mixtape. Since nato focuses on instrumentals it’s kind of pointless unless he wanted to delve into namjoons versatility in flow and lyrics
But namjoon didn't produce it, It was kind of a borrowed beat so
Mixtape use samples to experiment in different songs. As he's a producer, he's rather listen to original songs produced by the members. IIRC the beat/sample used for Do You was by Major Lazer
All BTS members including their music producers and Big hit are really 'ARTISTS' . They get me every time how they don't make music only for commercial purposes , how every little thing worked out right for them . They were destined to be BTS and are pure artists with all those hidden meaning , different genres songs , different rap styles . *I salute BTS*
MONO really means so much for me. I just connect so much with Namjoon's songs.
RM's 'mono.' album is one of my favorite albums of all time. It's a beautiful, beautiful piece of art. The fact that he released this work for free is just mind-blowing. It's such an introspective piece. RM's talked about his struggles with depression, anxiety, loneliness, and overthinking. This album expresses both a personal struggle and universal pain felt by all humans. It's a masterclass in expression.

Thank you so much for another great reaction! "moonchild" is one of my favorite tracks in this playlist. So many people can relate to the meaning behind those lyrics. You know, Namjoon (RM) uses V LIVE sometimes to talk about BTS' albums and he did a live for "mono." as well. In these lives he shares his thoughts over the album, what inspired him when making songs, the music producer life, the stories about all the proccess of doing what he loves... He told us he started to work on "moonchild" back in february 2017!
"People who prefer the night. [...] During the day, feeling choked, whether it's because of the job or something. Then at night, getting away from other's eyes and getting away from the shackles. People who feels a sense of freedom. I think there'll be lots of people like that. Especially people these days", that's what he told us about this song. *thefeels*

I hope you get to chance to go back and read the lyrics and listen a second or third time. I found RM’s playlist to be sad and healing and nostalgic and comforting. He’s a touching lyricist and poet and I think this playlist may be a help to you for some of those problems.

I'm subscribed to a bunch of Kpop reactors on RUclips, but none of them are anything like your's. Because of your channel, I've learned to appreciate music a lot more and the different layers of sounds that are used to create them, as informative as your videos are, they are just as funny but it's lead me to start listening more carefully to the instrumentals of tracks and developing a better sense of admiration towards music creators, like yourself, because of the information and experiences you have to share. Thank you for providing that kind of content! Keep it up but don't stress yourself out because we like watching you for who you are!

Great video, Joey. I find that when I watch your videos, I have to watch them at least twice - the first time to see your reactions and listen to your comments. Then watch again to really hear what you're pointing out. It also helps me to not watch the MV while you're breaking it down because I get distracted by the lyrics (which, since I've already watched it multiple times, I really don't need to re-see). I also find that, after watching your video, I can go back to the song and really "hear" it. So, thank you for that. I was listening to 21st Century Girl/Woman/Lady (can't remember the exact title...why, yes - I am a little distracted) the other day (BTS, of course) and I found myself thinking "I wonder what Joey would say about this part?" Anyway, good work.
