What I love from Save me & I'm Fine is that BTS took their song from two years ago and created a reply based on that. When you look at the the lyrics from I'm Fine it completely mirrors the concept from Save Me cause they realised that they no longer need someone's aproval to be happy they just need to love themselves, it fits so well with their album concept and the music kind of intensifies the message for me. The fun part was that Save Me came out in 2016, and they had since released an EP, two more full length albums -- and in the midst of this, people had noticed in the Fake Love Music Video an artwork that said Save Me, but when flipped upside down, said I'm Fine, but Fake Love was such an emo song that it connected so well with the theme, no one thought much more -- then Ddaeng comes out and now, two years later, fans listen to I'm Fine off this new album and it is like, "Wait a minute, I've heard these synths.... _Oh my Gosh!_ " And then you read the lyrics and it is quite amazing how masterful they can be as storytellers.
MUST READ! as a fan of your channel, this is a must. I dont write novels in comments for just anyone. LOL BTS "I'm Fine" and "Save Me" are connected. BTS albums have concepts. "Save Me" came out on the BTS album Most Beautiful Moment in Life pt. 3 back in 2016 (its crazy how much music they have released since then) the lyrics for "Save Me" is a love song telling someone i will fall without your love. but "I'm Fine" is apart of the album Love Yourself: Answer that just came out. the song is about being fine. because they loved themselves. the concept of this album is about self-love and coming to terms with the fact that they as individuals is enough. You hear this theme all through the album. which is the conclusion of the Love Yourself series. they released 3 mini albums in this series and one compilation that had some new songs. Love Yourself: HER Love Yourself: WONDER (this was a Japanese release and isn't talked about as much in the west. Love Yourself: TEAR and Love Yourself: ANSWER (this was the compilation album with new songs) LY: HER is about finding your better half. you hear this in tracks like "Serendipity, Best of Me, Dimple, Outro: HER, and DNA. LY: WONDER ( i don't know much about this one) Japan is really strict and its hard to find music that's promoted here on youtube. most people just give up. but BTS 9 times out of 10. promotes the same songs only in Japanese. LY: TEAR is about that love coming to an end. the track that best represents this is Outro: Tear. I know you reacted to it but those lyrics go hard. BTS uses the word for both its meaning. Tear: as in crying and Tear: as in something being torn apart. Also, you hear this theme in the album, in the tracks Singularity, Fake Love, The untold truth, and 134340. speaking of 134340 that is the coordinates to Pluto. Just to reiterate the genius of BTS. this song talks about how they went from being an important part of their loved one's life to nothing. The same way Pluto went from being a whole planet to just another rock in the sky. You spoke about them being perfectionist and i wanted to say, BRAH you have no idea! If you cant tell this is my favorite album of the series. LY: ANSWER. This is the end of the series. they have taken us on a journey of finding love, to being nothing without that love, to unwillingly and willing breaking up with that love and now we're here. there an understanding. that without self-love you can't truly love someone else. Happiness starts within you. You got to love you before you expect anyone else too. (ur mamma don't count) you hear the theme of self-love in tracks Idol, I'm Fine, and Answer: Love Myself. I know I gave you more info then you asked for but just like there are layers to the beats of their songs there are also layers to the concepts too. I can honestly say that artist appreciate other artist on a whole other level. Whether you sing, dance, draw, write, act, whatever, you know the hard work and skill it takes to make something good. Personally I draw and when I show my favorite artist to other people who don't draw, they just say "Yeah that's nice." or "Yeah that looks really cool." But as someone who actually draws, I understand what that person had to do in order to make something of that quality. In your case, I can tell you have an appreciation for music a lot of us don't have because you have been through the same creative process.

A lot of the similarities between the two are actually lyrical. Especially when looking at RM's verses, they go hand in hand. But they did also include musical elements of Save Me in I'm Fine as well according to RM, who talked about the making of I'm Fine on a live with fans. I forgot which specific parts he mentioned, maybe the pre chorus and bridge? and the intro obviously. But i hope you read the lyrics too. After all, the lyrics contribute to the whole mood of a song. In these particular songs which were written 2 yrs apart, the messages are quite connected. I'm pretty sure most Armys have told you already, but in Save Me (2016), it has a bit of an upbeat sound but the mood is actually sad. The lyrics tell of longing for someone to complete oneself, asking that someone to come hold his hand and save him. But in I'm Fine (2018), he realizes that he's actually fine without that person and that he can let go of that person's hand now. The beat has a sort of anthemic sound, like a celebration of something. In this case, self-realization. The words are sort of a reply to Save Me. Maybe because he fnally learned to love himself, which is the whole concept of the latest album. That's how serious they are in making music. They don't just think of random words, and throw in some catchy melody and voila, release it. Every song/mv involves so much thinking and hard work.
you should react to "House of Cards" or "Rain" by BTS both of them are more of a jazz/r&b. just suggesting so you can hear another whole side of music BTS does. yeah, "I"m Fine" is basically a part 2 to I'm fine. They make different parts to a lot of thier songs that usually have corrosponding themes in the lyrics. This time the part two had lyrics that linked, similar sounds, AND they made the choreographies match in style and flow into one another so they can be perfromed live as almost one peice. It's really cool because "Save Me" is such a favorite song for both the fans and the band (they say it's one of theri favorites to perform live) but it's from like 5 or 6 albums ago. It's nice for it to get a bit of a reboot. especially with so many new people just now learning about BTS. It can get a little more love since it was exactly a smash hit when it was released even though it's an encredible song

I'm so sorry I'm this late, but I only just found your channel and videos. Save ME was the song that got me into BTS, because I thought exactly the same - how could a song be so perfectly made to convey its message, beyond the language barrier (and also the video production and choreo are breathtaking). I listened to it one too many times, unfortunately, and it grew a bit stale, but thank you for this video, it felt like falling in love all over again, and took me back 2 years ago to my initial reactions of delight, surprise and awe of first discovering BTS (and kpop!).

Ok, so there's a really popular optical illusion that uses the words Save Me and I'm Fine. And with these two tracks, they're basically a reflection, because I'm fine twisted the sound and Melody around from Save Me. Also, in the Fake Love video, where V is holding the cell phone, that optical illusion is in the background: Save Me/I'm Fine. It all has to do with the bigger BTS Universe and storyline.
I really really loved how when you paused on Save Me, you played those little bits of what you were talking about, and explained it a bit. As someone who is interested in music producing, it was really really cool! Maybe you could do that some more? Especially with BTS stuff, even if it's in a seperate video, or after you've listened to the song. I learn a lot about these songs I already love, and it makes me try and listen harder, but I always get swept away in the music.

What I love from Save me & I'm Fine is that BTS took their song from two years ago and created a reply based on that. When you look at the the lyrics from I'm Fine it completely mirrors the concept from Save Me cause they realised that they no longer need someone's aproval to be happy they just need to love themselves, it fits so well with their album concept and the music kind of intensifies the message for me. The fun part was that Save Me came out in 2016, and they had since released an EP, two more full length albums -- and in the midst of this, people had noticed in the Fake Love Music Video an artwork that said Save Me, but when flipped upside down, said I'm Fine, but Fake Love was such an emo song that it connected so well with the theme, no one thought much more -- then Ddaeng comes out and now, two years later, fans listen to I'm Fine off this new album and it is like, "Wait a minute, I've heard these synths.... _Oh my Gosh!_ "
And then you read the lyrics and it is quite amazing how masterful they can be as storytellers.

"Save Me" came out on the BTS album Most Beautiful Moment in Life pt. 3 back in 2016 (its crazy how much music they have released since then) the lyrics for "Save Me" is a love song telling someone i will fall without your love. but "I'm Fine" is apart of the album Love Yourself: Answer that just came out. the song is about being fine. because they loved themselves. the concept of this album is about self-love and coming to terms with the fact that they as individuals is enough. You hear this theme all through the album. which is the conclusion of the Love Yourself series. they released 3 mini albums in this series and one compilation that had some new songs. Love Yourself: HER Love Yourself: WONDER (this was a Japanese release and isn't talked about as much in the west. Love Yourself: TEAR and Love Yourself: ANSWER (this was the compilation album with new songs)
LY: HER is about finding your better half. you hear this in tracks like "Serendipity, Best of Me, Dimple, Outro: HER, and DNA.
LY: WONDER ( i don't know much about this one) Japan is really strict and its hard to find music that's promoted here on youtube. most people just give up. but BTS 9 times out of 10. promotes the same songs only in Japanese.
LY: TEAR is about that love coming to an end. the track that best represents this is Outro: Tear. I know you reacted to it but those lyrics go hard. BTS uses the word for both its meaning. Tear: as in crying and Tear: as in something being torn apart. Also, you hear this theme in the album, in the tracks Singularity, Fake Love, The untold truth, and 134340. speaking of 134340 that is the coordinates to Pluto. Just to reiterate the genius of BTS. this song talks about how they went from being an important part of their loved one's life to nothing. The same way Pluto went from being a whole planet to just another rock in the sky. You spoke about them being perfectionist and i wanted to say, BRAH you have no idea! If you cant tell this is my favorite album of the series.
LY: ANSWER. This is the end of the series. they have taken us on a journey of finding love, to being nothing without that love, to unwillingly and willing breaking up with that love and now we're here. there an understanding. that without self-love you can't truly love someone else. Happiness starts within you. You got to love you before you expect anyone else too. (ur mamma don't count) you hear the theme of self-love in tracks Idol, I'm Fine, and Answer: Love Myself.
I know I gave you more info then you asked for but just like there are layers to the beats of their songs there are also layers to the concepts too. BTS fanbase is large and passionate but Joey they truly earned us. When we say they don't disappoint we mean it. i hope you found this novel helpful.

The two songs made part of a whole storyline, that's why at the beginning of I'm fine sounded like save me, it's quite interesting the fact that maybe they took the sample of save me and made a whole different song from it, thanks for your reactions!! I can honestly say that artist appreciate other artist on a whole other level. Whether you sing, dance, draw, write, act, whatever, you know the hard work and skill it takes to make something good. Personally I draw and when I show my favorite artist to other people who don't draw, they just say "Yeah that's nice." or "Yeah that looks really cool." But as someone who actually draws, I understand what that person had to do in order to make something of that quality. In your case, I can tell you have an appreciation for music a lot of us don't have because you have been through the same creative process.

A lot of the similarities between the two are actually lyrical. Especially when looking at RM's verses, they go hand in hand. But they did also include musical elements of Save Me in I'm Fine as well according to RM, who talked about the making of I'm Fine on a live with fans. I forgot which specific parts he mentioned, maybe the pre chorus and bridge? and the intro obviously. You probably already caught what he was talking about lol I honestly don't remember; I need to rewatch his live lol

Anyway, i understand you're focused on the technical sound since you're a music producer and i appreciate your reactions really, cause you give us more reasons to love the boys' music. But i hope you read the lyrics too. After all, the lyrics contribute to the whole mood of a song.
In these particular songs which were written 2 yrs apart, the messages are quite connected. I'm pretty sure most Armys have told you already, but in Save Me (2016), it has a bit of an upbeat sound but the mood is actually sad. The lyrics tell of longing for someone to complete oneself, asking that someone to come hold his hand and save him. But in I'm Fine (2018), he realizes that he's actually fine without that person and that he can let go of that person's hand now. The beat has a sort of anthemic sound, like a celebration of something. In this case, self-realization. The words are sort of a reply to Save Me. Maybe because he fnally learned to love himself, which is the whole concept of the latest album.
That's how serious they are in making music. They don't just think of random words, and throw in some catchy melody and voila, release it. Every song/mv involves so much thinking and hard work.

yeah, "I"m Fine" is basically a part 2 to I'm fine. They make different parts to a lot of thier songs that usually have corrosponding themes in the lyrics. This time the part two had lyrics that linked, similar sounds, AND they made the choreographies match in style and flow into one another so they can be perfromed live as almost one peice.
It's really cool because "Save Me" is such a favorite song for both the fans and the band (they say it's one of theri favorites to perform live) but it's from like 5 or 6 albums ago. It's nice for it to get a bit of a reboot. especially with so many new people just now learning about BTS. It can get a little more love since it was exactly a smash hit when it was released even though it's an encredible song

I'm so sorry I'm this late, but I only just found your channel and videos. Save ME was the song that got me into BTS, because I thought exactly the same - how could a song be so perfectly made to convey its message, beyond the language barrier (and also the video production and choreo are breathtaking). I listened to it one too many times, unfortunately, and it grew a bit stale, but thank you for this video, it felt like falling in love all over again, and took me back 2 years ago to my initial reactions of delight, surprise and awe of first discovering BTS (and kpop!).

They are ment as a small "storyline" at first they needed to be saved, then he learned to love himself and is able to save himself, they refrence the song 'save me' in 'im fine' a few times. and then there is the image of "save me" turned upside down spelling "im fine" if written a certian way, im sure you can google it. But I SO appriciate you doing both of them!

Love the new way you're making these videos by playing the specific sounds you're describing instead of just saying theres different instruments here and there. And with these two tracks, they're basically a reflection, because I'm fine twisted the sound and Melody around from Save Me. As someone who is interested in music producing, it was really really cool! Maybe you could do that some more? I've watched a few of your reactions so far and I really enjoy your take on these songs! We all love their lyrics, but since its in Korean those of us who don't speak it were really drawn in by how the music sounds. I love how you focus on breaking down the music itself and why it stands on its own even before you add in the great messages. I know you don't pay much attention to the lyrics, so I'll just say I'm Fine lyrics are the complete opposite of Save Me, I'm Fine is the answer to it.
