It's such a shame that you didn't get to listen to the official MV from BTS distributer at the time 1theK which does have the CC button for the ever so important, so meaningful & inspirational lyrics! They are not saying "make money money"!! They are saying what sounds like the Korean word mahni not money. And BTS are saying over and over "What is your dreams" Do you have dreams" and not to listen to what other people, society, or even your parents say and tell you what to do living other people's dreams at the cost of losing yourself, your hopes, your desires, your dreams by doing what is expected, demanded of you denying yourself! For some reason the earlier BTS songs from Ibighit doesn't have the CC button for English subtitles. Only the official MV'S from 1theK back then had the CC button so you could see the English subtitles. Edit: The correct Korean words for "What is your dream?" Is "ni goomeun mwoni". BTS are most definitely not singing "make money money". BTS saying Korean words here, not English. There is another Korean word "mahni" that means more/a lot that also sounds like money that BTS sang in BS&T when everyone though they were singing in English "money, money, money" BTS were once again singing in Korean saying "mahni, mahni, mahni" which means "more, more, more" in English. It's because of the lyrics of this their very first debut song why BTS has such loyal diehard fans in army since the very beginning. These lyrics spoke to all the disenfranchised youth (but can speak yo all ages as well) who had no more hope, dreams or desires and pretty much gave up. The suicide rate for youth in Korea is quite high! This song was something that many can relate and identify with and gave many the strength, faith & hope to go on! RM even mentioned in his U.N. speech how he himself lost his own voice for these very reasons at the age of 10. So even this their very first song they already sung about and used as a platform to speak up on behalf of everyone who does not have a voice!!! 👍😱😍❤️💖💜🙏🐥

I did realize that mahni meant more or a lot, plus I didn't really know how to spell it correctly although I did know and realize that it was a different Korean word but sounding similar, so I just basically used that as an example since when Blood Sweat & Tears came out everyone thought when BTS was singing , mahni, mahni, mahni they also thought it meant money as well back then, but most were corrected right away only because the English subtitles were there to see! I just used that word as an example but knew it wasn't the correct one! I do know and realize that there are so many Korean words that sound alike and might mean different things. Like mahni as opposed to 'mwoni', which are 2 different Korean words meaning different things! So I do really appreciate you explaining this further and giving me the actual correct spellings of each word romanized translated from Korean. 👍🙏👏😍❤️💖💜🤗😻🐥 I will make sure to write down the correct spelling of each word so I can explain more accurately in the future to other reactors that will make the same mistake again. I just wish BigHit would allow or offer the CC closed caption button for subtitles in all the earlier MV'S for all of these so important earlier songs! I went into further detail explaining how even though there are a few different Korean words that sound like the English word money they each mean different things and are actually pronounced differently since they are different words. Like mahni (more/a lot) and mwoni. Thanks so much again! It would be awesome if you ever see another reactor making the same mistake go in and possibly correct them in the future. So many newer reactors are seeing BTS older songs without the benefit of the CC because so many newer army either aren't aware or don't leave a link to the correct MV from 1theK that actually does have the CC or at least tell the reactor to only see the one from 1theK when making the request to have an earlier BTS song viewed. Yeah, Jungkook rapped in a lot of their initial work. I actually heard their newer stuff around Dope era and then went back to see their older music. I was surprised too. One of the reasons I really enjoy these videos is if it is a song I know, you always point out something I never noticed, but once you point it out I can hear it and it gives me a greater awareness of what I'm listening to. I'm curious what you would think of their song BulletProof PT2. It's back when Jungkook was rapping and they were trying to be... "street"? I think that would be the word you used? Anyway, if you like the fast Korean rapping, look into some BAP songs. Their rapper Zelo can be very fast. They did disband pretty recently but still worth checking out. If you want to I'd look at their newer stuff just because they grew in skill a lot.
BTS was supposed to be a hip hop group and this more rough hiphop leaning music was like a compromise to keep that idea for suga and rm who came up from underground rap. Suga specifically says in some of the interviews about the debut that he was told he wouldn't have to learn to dance at all, but as they got more singers they slowly transitioned into this rough idol group. So and so forth to where BTS is now. B.A.P have stated they didn't disband, but they all left their old company so unfortunately they are pretty much disbanded

These early tracks were so heavy into the rap that many first-time reactors mentioned that they liked how the rappers had backup singers... kkk. Yes, they have evolved .. in a good way. Jungkook does rap still, but it's very short. He rapped in duet with Suga on DNA and after Suga in Idol. When you said, was that V rapping? It was Suga a second time followed by J-Hope. So I am unsure which of those 2 you thought was V. V was the one with the glasses that pretended to get shot by Suga. Loved the stunned look over JK rapping though. He showed some skill at it and that's why they call him the Golden Maknae. He's the youngest and can sing, rap and dance and does them all well. Till next time!

I did realize that mahni meant more or a lot, plus I didn't really know how to spell it correctly although I did know and realize that it was a different Korean word but sounding similar, so I just basically used that as an example since when Blood Sweat & Tears came out everyone thought when BTS was singing , mahni, mahni, mahni they also thought it meant money as well back then, but most were corrected right away only because the English subtitles were there to see! I just used that word as an example but knew it wasn't the correct one! I do know and realize that there are so many Korean words that sound alike and might mean different things. Like mahni as opposed to 'mwoni', which are 2 different Korean words meaning different things! So I do really appreciate you explaining this further and giving me the actual correct spellings of each word romanized translated from Korean. 👍🙏👏😍❤️💖💜🤗😻🐥
I will make sure to write down the correct spelling of each word so I can explain more accurately in the future to other reactors that will make the same mistake again. I just wish BigHit would allow or offer the CC closed caption button for subtitles in all the earlier MV'S for all of these so important earlier songs! It's so important for international army and new would be fans to be aware of what BTS is actually saying since the lyrics what they are saying are a very big part and explains just why BTS had such a diehard loyal following in army from the very beginning! It was never just about their looks, their amazing performances (rapping, singing & dancing, choreography) as absolutely spectacularly amazing as they always were but I feel what they were singing about was always one of the most important things that set them apart, so relatable, do meaningful & inspirational, and exactly why BTS meant so much to so many early on!!!
@Kahli21 - I actually went back to my comment and left an Edit (thanks to you) 👍🙏 going into detail using the correct Korean spelling of the Korean words that mean "What is your dream"? I went into further detail explaining how even though there are a few different Korean words that sound like the English word money they each mean different things and are actually pronounced differently since they are different words. Like mahni (more/a lot) and mwoni. Thanks so much again! It would be awesome if you ever see another reactor making the same mistake go in and possibly correct them in the future. So many newer reactors are seeing BTS older songs without the benefit of the CC because so many newer army either aren't aware or don't leave a link to the correct MV from 1theK that actually does have the CC or at least tell the reactor to only see the one from 1theK when making the request to have an earlier BTS song viewed. I myself keep trying but most of the time my comments don't get noticed. Then after the fact I'm continually trying to explain the correct meaning of the song.
It's really getting exhausting and most frustrating but it does bother me when songs like this get reduced to comments just focusing on "cringy" looks of older BTS and how they even sound better now and how they've improved instead of focusing on what BTS is actually saying and the meaning of the song! Personally I love their older performances and how they sounded! They had such passion, emotion and conviction as they amazingly still do to this day! I loved BTS earlier eras so much! My favorite performances were from their HYYH concert since they sang so many of their earlier more hip hop R&B type songs which I always loved. I just loved how they performed every song including the rocked out version of "No More Dream" & "N.O."!! Plus at least there are quite good English subtitles on screen for most of these performances.

Yeah, Jungkook rapped in a lot of their initial work. I actually heard their newer stuff around Dope era and then went back to see their older music. I was surprised too. One of the reasons I really enjoy these videos is if it is a song I know, you always point out something I never noticed, but once you point it out I can hear it and it gives me a greater awareness of what I'm listening to. I'm curious what you would think of their song BulletProof PT2. It's back when Jungkook was rapping and they were trying to be... "street"? I think that would be the word you used? Anyway, if you like the fast Korean rapping, look into some BAP songs. Their rapper Zelo can be very fast. They did disband pretty recently but still worth checking out. If you want to I'd look at their newer stuff just because they grew in skill a lot.
BTS was supposed to be a hip hop group and this more rough hiphop leaning music was like a compromise to keep that idea for suga and rm who came up from underground rap. Suga specifically says in some of the interviews about the debut that he was told he wouldn't have to learn to dance at all, but as they got more singers they slowly transitioned into this rough idol group. So and so forth to where BTS is now. B.A.P have stated they didn't disband, but they all left their old company so unfortunately they are pretty much disbanded

it's the debut hhh. i love your videos. i love hearing breakdowns from a producer cause i can have a better understanding of and appreciation of what i'm hearing.
Jungkook does rap still, but it's very short. He rapped in duet with Suga on DNA and after Suga in Idol. When you said, was that V rapping? It was Suga a second time followed by J-Hope. So I am unsure which of those 2 you thought was V. V was the one with the glasses that pretended to get shot by Suga. Loved the stunned look over JK rapping though. He showed some skill at it and that's why they call him the Golden Maknae. He's the youngest and can sing, rap and dance and does them all well. Till next time!
