The fact that they perform this till now, shows a lot about how Bangtan were ahead of their time and changed the game in music making by delivering timeless songs. Seriously barely any artist performs their debut songs because they didn't age well or were not that good.
They grew a lot.
Not gonna lie their first music videos are a bit goofy, watching them now. I get a genuine sense of nostalgia and the same feeling as I have looking back on my high school fotos - yea it's maybe a bit goofy but I look at them very fondly - that's who I was at the time right?! There is actually nothing to be genuinely embassared about.
When Big Hit released this, Bangtan had instantly very dedicated fans. They were not the typical K-POP act from the very start. They were kinda badass and cool and their lyrics were so rebellious and real that people instantly clicked with them and their words. The second generation K-POP groups were dominating the K-POP industry in 2013 and they were definitely missing someone like Bangtan - they were monster rookies - their performances and choreographies were so exquisitely executed.
But shouldn't have Seokjin been 20 at the time? Since it was before his birthday...?

I'm glad they were able to realize their true selves. I know they still love hip hop but they're able to express it now without trying too hard. They just naturally have that "it" factor so they've learned to just be themselves. I love how far they've come! Hahaha, so suprised at Jimin's evolution ? He's still got the 'edge' from back then, but it manifests itself nowadays in different ways. I believe he can still do the deeper growls he did in some of the earlier songs, and his acrobatic tumbling hasn't lessened. Of course, all of them have changed since then - for example Jin was very awkward haha despite pulling off this 'bad boy' look very well, but he's got a very strong mindset now and the confidence of a fully grown man. And JK isn't a literal fetus anymore - he was 15 /16 here.
Have you seen the latest vlive where they discuss the coming album? Yoongi says he wants to do a song with Jimin cos he wants to see him rapping seriously! So..sthing like Tony Montana?!! Let's hope so!! :D

This song and just performance in general is ssooooo iconic. J-Hope/ Hoseok is an insanely talented dancer, performer, and rapper and his stage presence is beautiful to watch with the whole group. He stands out so much in this and I love it because I feel like sometimes he doesn’t get the love and credit that he truly deserves just as much as the others 💜

Ah, Nico! I just remembered, you should definitely check out "Intro Trailer performance" of bts! It's on the 1thek channel, I'm sure you guys will enjoy it bc it's a choreo, and the story behind the video is amazingly hilarious. Here it is:
They performed the Intro at MBC Gayo Daejun (one of the important music shows of end of the year in SK). ARMYS complained about how terrible the camera work were (Like, really, if you watch the performance of MBC gayo you'll understand how TERRIBLE it was, they really did them dirty). A few days later bighit released the video in HD with different camera angles.
That's why in the video they reapeat it three time with: "Very good camera, good camera" and "do you want more?"
Basically, is just bighit being shady.
Maybe they should watch the live performance then the intro trailer so they know how frustrated everyone was with the cameras 😅 but yeah i completely agree, they should watch the intro trailer because their dancing is AMAZING and I know they'd love it!

It’s their debut song, that’s it where they started, fighting my boys👌🏻💜💜💜 Guys, you should watch the lyrics video, to understand the theme of that song. There’s a lot of meaning in it, and in their debut days BTS were banned and put down for their philosophy in their songs, because they were too freethinking for conservative Korean society, they were hated for saying the truth and depraving young generation. That’s why all their hard efforts to the fame are so valuable and they are the ones who deserve their fame, they fought and they won!
This song is really special to me. It's the first BTS song that i read the lyrics, and really touch me and from then i always check their lyrics. 😭

Asma aria what I was referring to was the words that sound like they are singing, “money, money, money.....”. They are not the words... go check the lyrics. There are quite a few songs that sound like they are singing English, but it is actually Korean words that we mistake. Example- in DNA, when RM is singing, it sounds like he said, love sucks, true love sucks. But in reality, he is singing in Korean, “we are the only one true love”. But since they will sing phrases in English, too, we need to read the lyrics to see what they are singing.

I full-converted to a Hoseok bias at Metlife last year. His stage presence is just out of this world. I'm 30 and the screams that man pulled out of me while he was doing is thing?? Inhuman. It's other-worldly and something you really have to see to understand fully. He was BORN for the stage.
