  • My Dad spent a few years in New Zealand in the early 1970s. Originally he was invited there because he had become somewhat of an expert on the science of concrete. While he was there he became involved with the local people and a hobby, and business venture, to hunt in the back country for meat to sell.
His experience with the people and culture meant a lot to him. So much that he wrote this book many years later and separate from his autobiography.
Maybe one day my brother and I will be able to see his favorite waterfall in person, on the Karori stream...
I recall, vaguely, one of Dad's Kiwi friends calling out house in the middle of the night when we were little. Unfortunately I forgot to ask him about it before he passed. :(
