I don't think you understand how long I've been searching for this group, for the kitchen song. like, six years man. When it was shown to me in like eighth grade I thought the beat was awesome because it sounded industrial and whatnot. Really cool imo. I've been dying to hear it again for like ever, thank the gods that I did.
Same! I saw this in elementary school a little over 20 years ago and it's stuck with me ever since. Its an amazing performance, and its so inspiring to know that you can make great music with just a small group of people messing around with random objects
Had the chance to see this troupe perform live. Not sure if they are still doing so or not, but, if they are, it is definitely worth the money and time. Very entertaining event.
When I was a kid, I used to think the chef (as I always called him though I didn't know why) was yelling because he hated the music and rhythm but it's cool that he actually was part of it.
Their timing is perfection! Any mistake would be amplified and quite obvious. The booming dumpsters sounded so primal! Great work from Stomp, as usual!
stomp reminds me off marching band..casue not only do you have to learn the music...but also the movements and spots of where you are during the song...so much respect for these guys
Our Band and music teacher showed us the full video so we could get a look inside rythem. The drummers were in heaven!! They were tapping along with it!! :]
I am getting to be as old as dirt,....but stuff like this gives me faith in the youth of today,...and maybe even humanity! Really liked the basketball,....loved the kitchen!!!
this is real talent, now adays, you're considered talneted if you can rap a few words and youre instantly cool!!! stomp is so cool, i wish people could realise that!!
i truely want to believe, that this is´nt some audio-overdubbed-staged thing, but it´s realy, realy hard, they must have practised this for years, i think, this is perfect!!!
Oh Gawd, I watched this @ school, and when we go back to homeroom, everyone's banging on trashcans and the windows, the teacher walks in and is so thrown off! ROFL!
this reminds me of when I was in 5th og 6th grade (I'm 20) and we made a stomp show for the whole school after watching this scene and the rest of the video made by this troup.....we ended up making some people climb up from an empty garbage container and afterwards make them hit it with big plastic bottles.....good times XD

I love the idea of this being completely spontaneous and this video was made by a stranger with a camera from a window
My music teacher showed us some STOMP music and everybody loved it, we even tried to make some beats later

10 years since they showed us this video in music class. At that time it was quite weird and scary but now it's just nostalgic
