    Just got these for my Outback. Thanks for the video, instruction make it sound confusing but your video made it look easy!

      I agree, the supplied instructions are very poor. Top marks for the "MTB Tomfoolery" video

    Morning buddy. Nice install demo there. The bars have come on a long way since the aero ones I’ve got which are about 10 years old. The ones I have whistle like crazy so had to keep removing them from the car when not being used. They look quite sturdy though mate and very sleek. You’ll have to let us know if they make any wind noise when you’ve tested them out.

      Thanks buddy, these have actually been on my car since last summer - I must have filmed this around June last year! I don't hear any whistling noise even with the windows open but I suspect there must be some. I reckon way more noise will come off my bike racks. I've been very impressed with these, and love how low profile they are.

    Nice video, thanks. How many centimeters you have from left car roof rack to the right car roof rack? Mine is 115cms andI can’t find information if these thule bars would work for me. Thanks

      Hey Carlos, I no longer have this car so I can't even measure it for you I'm afraid. Might be worth looking online for a manual for these as I'm sure there was a section in there about placement.

    Hello, Quick question: which car do you have? Does it fit to a VW Golf 7 wagon 2013? Thanks for your answer and great video again 👍!

      Hey, I had these on a 2011 Mercedes C Class wagon. You'll find some to fit your car if you have roof rails. Consult the Thule website to find out the correct set for your car. Don't forget to subscribe!

    Fantastic video mate. These look brilliant and would consider buying some for my motor. Awesome stuff. 👌🏻👍🏻

      Yes Lloyd they are a new bit of kit. These don't fit on my new car so I've had to settle for the more basic version, which are noticeably noisier.

    Great video. Does it make any wind noise when doing 60 mph? Thank you

      Any bars will make some wind noise but these are much less than regular bars.

    Hey mate, nice video. Do you think these bars would take the weight of a roof top tent + 2 people sleeping?

    • @clarkb475
      @clarkb475 7 месяцев назад +1

      per the Thule site, 165 lbs is the limit

    • @mtbtomfoolery
      @mtbtomfoolery  7 месяцев назад +1

      That would depend how much weight you and your tent all weigh added together. I don't think they would hold 2 of me 🤣

      I have changed vehicle so I no longer use these. They were very quiet, I wish the ones on my new car were nearly as quiet as these. Brilliant product 👌

    • @mtbtomfoolery

      The size and kit depend entirely on what car you are fitting them to. You can find out all you need to know on the Thule website 👍

    Is it rubber strap? Can it breake, or can it be cut with knife by Thief? Regards Adam

    • @mtbtomfoolery
      @mtbtomfoolery  Год назад

      It is a rubber strap but it is very tough. They also wouldn't be able to reuse the strap if they cut it!
