I am pretty sure this is all dramatics, but for most of the movie, I was just annoyed about how bitchy she was. And we're supposed to root for her anyway? It's not until she takes up the case that she becomes endearing.

Anyone who says they hate kissing is lying or has been “properly” kissed. The best kind of kiss, though, isn’t JUST a result of physical passion but accompanied by emotional expression, like this. But I think a kiss on the forehead is most precious-I believe it’s an expression of truly caring for someone as an individual, not just a body.
when I was at university, a guy i just met (a friend of a friend) gave me a kiss on the forehead. 10 years later, i still think it was a sweet gesture but i never really knew why he did that. any thoughts?

But later on I started doing it of my own volition, and when I did it was always accompanied by a hug. It was like a way of showing extra love, in a sensual way, without being misinterpreted as meaningless lust, like can kissing can sometimes feel like. It’s sensual, instead of sexual. But like Cohen said, a kiss coming from a truly emotional state can accomplish that and a lot more, but it’s more rare imo, so forehead kisses can do anytime lol.

I worked amongst snakes like the women in this office. They never invited me to lunch, would roll their eyes at me or tell on me behind my back. I hated that job so much!
Well in another scene he asks her to quit because he's not getting enough attention himself after she's hired back so she can't please everyone can't be everywhere at once too can't be in the office and out collecting evidence simultaneously either but that's the expectation.
God I wanted to be like this at my last job. Same attitudes from the staff, and having a complacent boss who pretends to be helping when they really are manipulative and good for nothing. Doing better now though
She is unprofessional. She is just an extremely hard working, conscientious, employee. All of that can exist in a employee in the absence of professionalism. It is Masery's job to find a way to channel Erin's hard working, conscientiousness in such a way that might benefit everyone. He didn't. He just fired her because his first instinct was stupid.
That’s what’s made her a hero! If she was polite or cared what others thought, she wouldn’t have had the balls to head out of the office to investigate this case. She wouldn’t have had the nerve to go through public records HERSELF, instead of following standard protocol. And she would have politely listened when the government worker attempted to kick her out.
