    I had to laugh when Eby questioned how the BC Conservatives are going to pay for their promises. From a guy, who blew through an inherited $6 billion surplus in a matter of weeks, has a current budget deficit spiraling out of control after two credit downgrades, and have no plans to come close to balancing the budget ever.

    The more housing policies the NDP introduces, the worse they make things. NDP stay out of the housing market ,,,, Foreign Buyers Ban, Air BNB Ban, Speculation Tax, etc. etc. 9 years of Trudeau, 7 years on NDP in BC, have not been good.

      MSP premiums gone, car insurance prices way down, rent control strengthened, rich paying more taxes while middle- and low-income people pay less: the last 7 years have been great, much better than the 16 long and horrible years under a conservative provincial government from 2001 to 2017.

    If John Rustad was a Conservative, I would look hard at voting for him. But he's not. Too many whacky conspiracy theories, latent, and in some cases, overt racism in that party for me. Also a lot of general bad policy and a lot of signs pointing toward private health care. No thanks.

    I am sure many people remember "The Province" headline about Adrian Dix, during the 2013 election. The polls are exaggerated and are not entirely accurate.

    It started going downhill once the BC NDP messed with home owner rights. Especially landlords and even more so STR owners. Telling home owners who much they can charge for their own property year by year through rent control, and forcing STR owner to stop being STR owners was way way passed the line. That anger has built up and coming to roast them now.

      They will be very, very sorry in a short period of time, especially young people who aren't uber-rich. They'll be royally screwed by conservative policies, which are all about making the rich even richer. Conservatives steal from the poor and middle class, to give to the rich.

      They will be so sorry unless they're uber-rich. Conservative philosophy is take from the poor and middle class, and give to the rich: Robin Hood in reverse.

      Exactly: remember how the previous government gave huge tax cuts to the rich and made the poor and middle class less well off. The Conservatives would be even worse.

      Yes, if they don't remember how the previous conservative government (2001 to 2017) made the rich richer, at the expense of everyone else, they will repeat the experience.

    I dont believe the conservatives will win. The conservatives cant actually define how they will pay for programs with their vowed tax cuts. While i dont love the NDP they are trying to solve and take action regarding housing and the environment. The conservatives will not be able to do anything more than the ndp regarding the fentanyl crisis, housing or climate change. As far as i am concerned the one main big difference is that the ndp have a heart and are for the people vs the conservatives who dislike social programs, anti immigration, will lower taxes and cut social programs. Probincially i think the conservatives will not be good for the province unless they can factually show how they will do things. At least with the ndp we know what they are doing and how they are doing it.

    • @scouterstu5856
      @scouterstu5856 6 часов назад +1

      Fair comment.
      The NDP have failed in their campaign to point out that they had to deal with fires, floods, the Covid lock down, supply chain issue etc. imo effectively. All the while managing wacko economic/environmental policys and incompentant interference coming from Ottawa.
      Saying that I'm voting for a change in government as eight plus years is enough for any party as political stagnation invariable results.
      And, that during their time in governmebt they NDP have never been able to garner the more than"half" of the popular vote and form a solid majority.
      It maybe time to give the other "half" of BC voters a say and see if their Conservative leadership and MP's can (hopefully) do any better.
