    I suggest you wash each time versus wiping at least when you’re at home. Also use a very gentle soap like Aveeno. Makes a huge difference and doesn’t irritate your skin. A lot of the itching can be caused by scented soap and harsh detergents

    After wiping, sprinkle a pinch or two of dry sodium bicarbonate onto a toilet tissue, and pat. You can feel the coolness as the bicarbonate absorbs any moisture. it rarely stings, and removes any itching for hours, I find.

    Thank you so very much Dr Chung. For the past few months I have had itching in my bottom and I was panicking thinking that I was coming down with some super ridiculous disease. After listening to your video I now realize that the problem is most likely tied to the fact that Costco grrrrr has recently made their Kirkland toilet paper lower quality. I have continued to purchase it despite reading some bad reviews. I thought that I was not affected by the scratchiness some folks complained about.
    After watching your video I realized it's this new thin and cheap material that probably initiated my problem. Thank you Dr Chung.

      @thanosbotyt1566 Yes, but I had to make some lifestyle changes. 1. Ditch the regular shower soap. Exerderm from Amazon or Hello Bello "fragrance free" at Walmart. 2. Shower with warm or hot water, but rinse body with cold water to close skin pores and retain moisture. Hot water dries the skin. The bottom skin is super thin. It's more sensitive. 3. Sitz bath for toilets, Amazon. Use regular Epson salt, soak for 15-20 minutes. 4. Carry "fragrance free" Dude wipes for when you are away from home. I use Pranicure after each cleaning, and it is working for me. Oh, clean up your diet, exercise, and drink enough water to keep skin and body hydrated. Hope that helps. 😊

      Everybody’s story is different and mine is extreme unfortunately. Currently I would say I have discomfort but not exactly pain. It is mostly towards the outside and burning/itching is the most prevalent complaint now. I’m being VERY VERY careful with how I manage bowel movements. I take magrocol every night to keep stool soft and never ever strain. I use Diltiazem ointment twice a day for last 6 weeks and will probably keep going with it for another 6 weeks. Your two weeks in, that’s two weeks done and closer to recovery. Keep going, you’ll get there. I thought I’d never get free of the pain of those first several weeks but slowly, slowly I improved.

    Anal itching is a precursor to hemorrhoids . In fact your coccyx (the area just above your anus) will also itch. This is caused by a bacteria in your poop and if you normally wipe from front to back you naturally drag poop to the coccyx as well. Cleaning with water helps rid or reduce the itching but wiping with a bit of coconut oil helps to cure. Also swallowing coconut capsules or a teaspoon will reduce itching greatly.

    I can’t tolerate the itching anymore and went to zillion different doctors, one said take fiber, the itching because of constipations, the other prescribed ointment, third one wanted to do a surgery, a few more said you need to change soap, laundry etc, because you might be allergic to it, I did all of that and even more…nothing absolutely nothing cures the issue in fact it became 100 times worse, I can’t tolerate it and no one is helping… 😢 but I am so lucky I found this video, I am going to try this cream… just curious, could itching indicate cancer? I am clean person, take showers twice a day, I have a bidet, I’ve been tested for parasites, I don’t have any, but everything you said in this video is my symptoms for the past 15 years 😢😢😢

      Vicksburg vapo rub!!! Yikes. That stuff is sooo potent I can't use it when I have a cold let alone on a tender bottom! It makes me cringe to think about it.

    Thoughts on pinworms causing this condition?

    • @CTScenic
      @CTScenic 9 месяцев назад

      I dont know if the doc is gonna respond but for the gawkers at home... There is over the counter pinworm treatment if you wanna try everything before getting a finger and an eyeball up your bum at a dr visit. I dont know whether the over the counter product (Reese) is as effective as what a doctor would prescribe, but it exists. Omg im traumatized for life cuz my mom asked me to look up her bum.
      Also looks like the magic cream is basically diaper cream + menthol if you want a cheaper option right this minute thats right down the street at cvs.

    Sure, I feel pain, burning, and itching with my hemmoroids, but at other times this senior male can also experience extreme pleasure - what's that about? I've just ordered Pranicura 5, nothing else has worked over the decades and I've tried them all.
