Had my eyes for a few days now on the Midori 1 Eureka, seems to be one of the more superior mid range budget tents, superb reviews. Etc. So now I will have to look STRONGLY at this particular unit and see if it will fit my needs more than the other one...I bet it will as I want the smallest footprint I can get while still being spacious for one person! Thanks for the knowledge/review, really good stuff!
Oh fudge, I already seen this thing for quite awhile, this IMO is a horrible bivvy basically...if you like that coffin feeling, and struggling to even get into your bag/clothes, etc. then this would be a great option for you, otherwise take the Midori 1-3 line range, seriously, soon as I saw the first review on this thing I knew it was a piece of trash for my particular needs...you can buy an AMAZING emergency bivvy for like $20 (watch as there are plenty of garbage ones 2)...so why would you want to limit yourself? This is supposed to be a tent, yet you gotta crawl around in it like a worm? I thought what you were reviewing was a newer tent design that may be a LITTLE BIT tinier than the Midori 1, instead what you got was basically an unworkable tent design for many/most. Seriously check their real tents, superior to most others out there in the price range by far!
Here is their BOTTOM review from amazon, so buyer BEWARE! " eric 1.0 out of 5 stars Stupidest tent in the world Reviewed in the United States on May 31, 2021 God I hate this tent so bad. I was issued it during a short climb of mount baker. It’s heavy for its size, there’s zero room inside and like no room in the vestibule. IT IS NOT FREE STANDING, leaks water and so on. Just buy a light 1 person dome style tent, I have no idea why this thing exists"
When shopping for ANYTHING on like amazon, etc...use the filter to read all/most of the bottom reviews for ANY product, if you see that 1-2 stars are MISSING and there are still quite a few reviews, you KNOW you have a winner. OTHERWISE scrutinize the words of what these people are sharing...then you will have beneficial knowledge compared to all the positive reviews...it's the most important part of the site IMO.
Hope you skipped or maybe can cancel...read my post above and understand why. Go with the midori for another 30-40 bucks, vastly superior in every way!
@@Gurthy24 Yeah, am glad for that...you would of been unhappy with this bivvy most likely, which is strange because the company does make some great gear! As does Kelty. My recommendations for the person in the OP video is to seam seal the thing massive...it sure is better than being exposed to the elements...yet compared to a 1-2 person...well you know. Oh this is me again OPOP, just on another account.
On a thru hike on PCT currently. I just picked this up 250 miles in to replace my 2 person tent...it'll save me about 2.5 lbs. Can't beat it for the price
With the rain fly on and steaked out properly it isn't that bad with venting. I mainly use it for the sole purpose of the mesh to keep the bugs out while sleeping and the rain fly for that extra protection incase it rains.
I like the tent review, friends. I've owned a Eureka Solitaire myself for many years. It looks like this video is doing well for you, so nice work.

I bought this same tent. Definitely need a good ground tarp!
Thanks for the review dudes. I’ll be swooping one up tomorrow 👍
Hope you enjoy my friend.

@@opopopop6286 went with the Kelty Ashcroft 2 person instead. Love it, esp for the price

like this thing would do good for stealth camping IMO...kinda a niche unit, yet take what good you can right?

Thanks for the review!
If it wasn't for the teletubby color scheme I'd buy one.
Great review dude!!
Thank you!
👍
I'll bet that thing turns into a sweatbox during a rainstorm. It just doesn't look like it would vent well at all.

Its NOT Solitaire ending with an ee sound. Solitaire as is solo, 1 person. Pronounce it as you do the card game- the one you play by yourself.
