Three lovely little flies. Thank you Davie.
I can never understand why anyone would give a "Thumbs down", to any of your offerings, they are to my mind without exception, beautifully tied and filmed tutorials, along with your helpful narration. They must take an age to produce and are all offered free.
My fly fying has improved hugely, as has my enjoyment of the hobby. You've. Brought a whole new dimension. To my fishing. A BIG thumbs Up!
    Thanks again.
    Stuart

Thanks Davie, I was going through some of your old (7 year old!) videos and viewed this one. Once again I am off to my fly tying to trie some variations of your ideas. As always, top instructions. Thanks again. This week the river had been up to 49 m3/p.sec but dropped to 35 when we got into some fresh run wild Rainbows all about 2kg and in beautiful condition. Some of your natural nymph patern ideas got the best fish. So, thanks.again.

I can't tell you enough how much I have learned about tying flies from you and your video presentations. I have been attending a fly tying class and have exceeded the expectations by using some of your techniques. Thanks ever so much. Sean

    Davie
I have been tying flies for near 30 years. Throughout this time I have become an accomplished tier. You my friend are an ace tier. I like to watch different videos by different tiers to get new ideas. You are my favorite and I value your instruction.

You cover these in a newer video as well and rightfully so. These and that little shrimp pattern in the updated video, are kind of "Must Haves!" Don't go to a trout stream without them! I have taken many fish on these!

    David,
Thank you so much for your videos! They are by far the most informative and very well made. I am relatively new to tying and watching these has helped tremendously. Also, the introduction music is absolutely perfect! Calming after a days work. Again, thank you!!! Have a great day!

I think I'll try the Veevus threads. I order materials from Stockards and they have those items.
Davie, I really enjoy your videos and appreciate you putting them out here on RUclips for us. I just enjoy listening to your accent...of course, to you, you have no accent...lol. I lived in Aberdeen for a couple of years and loved it there. Didn't want to leave. I was in the Aberdeen Angling Association, the Stonehaven Angling Association, and the Aberdeen Thistle Sea Angling Association. I fished everywhere I could. The scenery there and everywhere I fished is stunning and the people are wonderful.

Hi Davie a friend has told me to tie your black micro glint nymphs using gutterman No. 71 rainbow thread to tie your nymph and I've had great results with it as had he, you can buy the gutterman thread in John Lewis's haberdashery dept. it costs £1.70p a lot cheaper than some fly tying suppliers.

Hi Davie, First I would like to thank you for the great videos. I was looking for the Veniards micro glint, hard to find in the US. I'm not apposed to buying from the UK, however I was also wondering if this is similar to the Veevus Iridescent threads. Thanks again.

Davie thanks for the awesome vids, lord knows they help correct my poor thing habits. Love these flies. I tie similar patterns but not with micro glint. Where can I get this in the U.S. Or online?

    Davie,
What type of scissors do you use? They seem to have very thin blades that let you get close to material in tight places. The blades on my scissors are sharp but thick.
    Thanks,
    Steve
