In this video I unbox and make a first start of the Bigme B751 Color ebook reader. It features a 7-inch E-INK Carta 1200 e-paper display with a resolution of 1264×1680 with 300 PPI for black and white content. The colour screen provides a resolution of 632×840 with 150 PPI. You can display text in ebooks, websites and other content in black and white, and Manga and other content in color of you like. My first reaction is that it has an excellent build-quality and great size. It runs Android 11 and has Google Play Store pre-installed, so you can install all your favourite apps. I have installed KOReader, Storytel, Kobo, Kindle and Moon+ Reader Pro. I will use it mainly for reading ebooks even if it comes with a stylus for note taking. In the box where also a case included that you even can store the stylus in.

Very interesting! Rumor has it that Kobo might have a color ereader this year. I’m looking forward to that, if so.
Yeah. Personally I am not really a fan of color ereaders. I only read text ebooks and want the display as crisp as possible for that. This device is good though because I can have all my books I. KOReader in sync and all my Storytel books in sync and all my kindle books in sync on same device. So basically I can use all my kobo devices, my Boox Palma and this Bigme in sync. And I can have my Boox, my bigme and my kindle devices in sync too.
Android is ideal for an ebook reader in my opinion, because you can use any reader, dictionary, sync, export, import, customize it only by installing your favorite apps

How long in reading mode does it run on a single charge?
Because you always need the front light on I would say around two days. Sometimes three days depending wich app you use for reading.
Honestly it's a very short amount of time to read books. I hope the developers will increase the battery life at least up to a week in reading mode.
@auzu_u that will never happen with a color e-reader. But if you only read one hour or so every day it can lasts for two weeks easily.
