The intro to this song is actually an Alice Cooper track, Only Women Bleed. It was banned in the 60's as it was seen being about menstruation. It's actually the first feminist rock track, done by a man. It's about wife beating. I think that this is a track you may want to check out. It's a piece of beauty, done by a band, that were seen to be the 'devil.'
Alice Cooper was a legendary social commentator, I'm 18 was about the subscription, into the Vietnam war.
Also that's Wembley Stadium, 1992. I was there. 28 years later I genuinely have a lighter burn, on my thumb, from this very song playing.
GnR were backed up by two legendary bands, Soundgarden and Faith No More.

@@FYED11 Yeah Bob Dylan also wrote and performed 'all along the watch tower'. Many people think Jimi Hendrix wrote it but it was another cover. Bob Dylan is a must if you like old school bluesy country rock.

Its my personal preference, but one of the reasons I like GNR is cause of the somewhat inconsistency in their performances, specially Axl's. He changes them from time too time, and his voice condition changes depending on the time also. It makes me feel like theu really are real.
