I am loving mine and have watched the tutorials. If I were to be realistic I’d say each “day” in this video is a month or more (about two months each for me, but maybe I’m just slow). By contrast learning longboarding (from scratch) took weeks. Not giving up though because it seems like it’s going to be really fun if I ever do finally get it.
I’m so excited to get my pair in 23 days
I’ve been watching your videos nonstop
Woooooo! What's been your favorite kinda video so far?
I like the tips, the trick videos, comparing, and adventure videos like the sideways ice skate ones
I’m also going to a downtown light event and I wish I had my free skates now lol
After all these steps, repeat them in the switch position. It will take much longer, but the payoff is worth it.
100% 🙌 Thanks for dropping that tip!
@@jmkride You're welcome and thanks for all that you do! 👊
Meaning
Whats switch position?
@@alejandrogarciajimenez9428 If your normal stance is regular (left foot in the front), then switch is the opposite stance with the right foot in the front.
I just ride around my neighborhood now, but I wish I had found these in college. What a great way to get around campus!
I started longboarding at the beginning of the summer. I'm going to get some of these free skates for Christmas to keep my legs in shape through winter. Also doing goddess squats and anticipation for the inner thigh shredding these will give
Your legs will become toned and hard as steel. The inner thighs are naturally weak for most people so there will be a progressive building of muscles, which is addictive because you will improve every time you use the freeskates.
Sounds like an awesome plan! Freeskaters are notorious for having shredded calves lol
At Tuesday ill get mines finally, I can't wait to try them (and break my neck probably) after such a long time saving money D:
Haha hopefully not the breaking part, but excited for you to finally learn! Stay safe out there!
If you are going downhill, get a wide road. You can actually carve to make a circle going backwards if you have enough space. If not enough space, you need really good control to carve hard until you are going backwards before going forward again and carve hard to go backwards again. The trick on steep hills is to carve harder so you end up going backwards. Note that you can also fit in a T-stop during carving, but I hate wearing out the wheels.
You can also just carve normally on hills with little wideness, but you will still accelerate so make sure there is enough room to ride it out once you go too fast. Too fast means it gets harder to carve and can be dangerous so hop off if you feel it is getting sketchy.
Super helpful advice! Thank you 😎
Tysm for making these vids!❤️ your YT videos inspired me to get free skates for myself I’m getting them for Christmas!
That T is going to go to the top of my list. Confidence with balancing and jumping off should give me confidence to roll
It's a great tool!
Hello bro, I'm in Vietnam, I like the video you made because it inspires me, please continue , my english is not good
I’m a college freshman this year and I bought mine in my senior year of Highschool. This is so helpful 🤎
You're gonna have so much fun!! Is it a pretty big campus?
@@jmkride well it’s the Georgia state university campus downtown, pretty big and pretty public :D
Aww perfect! Can’t wait to get my own custom set soon! These will be perfect for college cruising and getting around! Cheers for the Tutorials!
Thank you for watching and for the support! More videos on the way 👊
This really helped me
Happy to hear it!! 🤙
You guys should try making more advanced how to content😊
For real. At this point, these videos are reposting the same information.
They got back to me. They said that they would consider it
One tip not mentioned is braking when it's impossible carve. Pros can do T-brake, but I point my toe down to use my shoe
Can y’all please add more sets for the USA store
We're trying to get them here ASAP 😥😥😥
❤❤❤
yoo
im from india and im like a big skater kid
i like the main concept of these freeskates
Would you deliver these skates in india
we will pay the money in usd!
Can I place my feet diagonally on the plate I find it much easier
Why don't you deliver these to Egypt
Please I want to get them
👍👍👍
Does anyone know when JMK is restocking their shop for custom skates?
Have black and gold now but they're going fast!
I was expecting sore legs but something I wasn’t expecting is after pumping for a couple minutes in my driveway just my front(right) foot hurts. Am I doing something wrong to cause that
When I started skating, it was my ankle that also got tired, I deliberately began to load the other leg more heavily and gradually began to work with both legs in sync.
In addition, over time, the body understands that it is more profitable to use more powerful muscles for skating and begins to “raise” the load upward, on the abs, back and shoulders.
Now my legs have completely stopped getting tired and riding has become very comfortable.
I envy you, you have yet to feel all the pleasure of learning!
Good luck!
Sorry for the automatic translation.
If you're feeling pain in a specific spot, I'd say try taking a small break and stretch or massage the affected area a little. Also the muscles responsible for stabilizing the arch of the foot are weak for a lot of people because we're all wearing shoes that cushion a little too much. It could be a matter of strengthening those with practice. Maybe it might help to focus on keeping the tension in your foot rather than slouching and resting your weight on the flat part of the foot. (Not saying you do, just something to look out for.)
my mistake as begginer was i bought a round wheel free skate..it so hard to learn..maybe if use flat wheel easier..
Get rid of the damn background music. Fifteen minutes of it grows tiresome when we are trying to listen to your narration.
