  • Zlatan Ibrahimović has retired from football at the age of 41. On today's Football Ramble, we argue that playing in the same era as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo means that the great striker often doesn't get the credit he deserves.

I always admired Ronaldo due to the idea that he wasn't the most talented player but through hard work he became a great player. But when you get Zlatan in a team, depending on what the culture of sport is, Zlatan will get everyone to be working and he will lead vocally. Now Messie and Ronaldo lead by example but Zlatan does that along with being a voice in the dressing room and he is very social with his teammates which helps so much more. I think Zlatan for these reasons is a better player than the other two greats of the game. He also changed the way a striker scores goals and that is something no one is going to replicate.

It Is over 570 goals in his career . (Maybe you don't count on the 62 goals for Sweden.)

If you knew how it is here in Sweden...
A lot of people (mostly old men) hold Henrik Larsson above Zlatan due to the bronze 94'. But the main reason is that he appears so arrogant, and alot of the elderly really don't get he's joking. Combined with his bosnian & croatian parents, it got some racism to it.
For me Zlatan is the #1 in Swedish history, behind him is Gunnar Nordahl & Henrik Larsson.
