Great video! We did something similar. We did some sublimation on some white twill. Then we put the satin border around to make it look like a patch. Turned out way better than we expected.
Yup. I’ve seem it done before a few times but never seen anyone contour the shape. I need to put some bleed in so it comes out perfect when I sublimate it on. Thanks for watching.
Pretty cool idea. What would you have to charge for this since there are so many steps and so many chances to mess up the hat? And would customers be willing to pay extra for this? Thanks for the video. You might be on to something.
A lot of steps and seems difficult because it’s my first time doing it. It would not be difficult to replicate and get down packed. I think a $35 each for quantity and $50 for retail depending on the design each would be about right.
With your DTF design, you can skip the embroidery part and sub right onto your hat. That's what's great with the DTF. Love your videos! I've learned a lot from you. Thank you!
Thank you. I was thinking that but sometimes you want a little texture and not just a flat image. This gives the piece a little dimension and makes it different than just a printed transfer. But yea. You could skip it all and just apply the image but the one with the embroidery and sublimation is just way cooler and more of a conversation piece. 😎
Try using a steamer on the tape marks. I always use a steamer when I get a burnished mark down below by the where the presser foot sometimes can burnish. It's just a thought you could try it and see what it does.
Thanks so much for the quick response. I have been quietly following you for a while now. I am very appreciative of the content and motivational messages that you incorporate into your videos. I have been running a screen print shop for the past 10 years and just stepped into embroidery last year. I stumbled across your channel, and your content helped me make the decision to buy my first Ricoma machine. I would say I love 100% of what you post, but as a Jets fan... You know how it is. Lol. Keep doing big things. You are motivating a lot of people who, like myself, will very rarely post or say anything.
To correct for the slight registration offset could you throw it back on the embroidery machine and do a satin stch outline like you would for appliqué? Or do you have to position the hat hoop again?
They have that already. It’s a ridiculously large and not practical attachment that goes on the top of your embroidery machine that sublimates the thread so you only ever need one spool. It’s astronomically expensive and the only way you can get it is if you have 15 foot ceilings. it’s ridiculously unnecessary. I’d just rather my machine switch threads, hence why no one has it.
Great video!

Yayyy. That’s fire!
I actually embroidered a shirt with white thread and then sublimated on top of it a couple of years ago. thank you for the video.

You got me wishing I knew how to sublimate now
It’s so easy. It’s like magic, especially when you do it the first time. It’s pretty amazing.
Ingenious! 👏👏👏
Trying some different things.
❤❤❤
😎Good job keep it up and wanting to see this amazing💰💰💰
Very creative idea❤️. Yeah, a little bleed on the sublimation print would probably take care of it!
I’m gonna make the hat again and next time it will be perfect.
what a great idea! love the video.... thanks for making the video!

That is an excellent suggestion. Thank you. I will try that.
Love it

@@adubbproductions you never seem to disappoint any of thats a game Changer God Bless keep on inspiring us
I love it! Did you use standard rayon thread?
Yes. Standard Madeira white poly neon.

Smart!
Bruh, I planned on doing the exact same thing 😆.
Cool. 😂 I did it for you. I actually did something like this a few years ago. Check it out. ruclips.net/video/InodcELzyqw/видео.html
WOW!
Very sleek!
So, how should one charge for something like this.
Will it be cheaper than if it were only embroidery or more expensive?
TIA.

This was just the prototype. I will put some bleed in the next one so it doesn’t loose registration.
Is it possible to embroider the snapback hats on the pe800..Ive seen you do the soft hats before on the pe800
So somebody told me they have or want to make an embroidery machine that just applies ink to just one thread and does a garment or hat. Is that true?

@@adubbproductions ok. Thought my friend was pulling my leg. A-dubb great video. Always thinking outside the box.
🙏🏾 no I saw it a few times at different expos. It looks cool but it’s like twice the cost of the embroidery machine for just the unit.
