I love how you used a real world example for this. I remember trying the sweeping technique (cause I saw a video about it) and couldn't really get it to work for me, so I went back to, dumping the lows, boosting the highs-ish and taming the lower mids. But using dynamic eq-ing on that lower 'woof/nose' frequency would be really handy. Thanks for the vid.
I can't lie.. I've learned exactly what you're talking about.. Outstanding explanation young lady.. I would like to try this approach honestly.. I am a hobby type dude but would like to make a decent recording.. This was actually brillant. I know back in the day, on a SSL, I don't believe they swept frequencies to cut either. I could be wrong.. I've never seen anyone on youtube do it. lol.. Not even with the plugin I dont think.. lol. Great content..
You are absolutely right, JT! If we go sweeping every frequencies on every track and cut them, we'd have a mess!

Nice job with this. IMO, sweeping freqs is totally fine and has it's place (perhaps staying below +12db or so tho bc EVERYTHING sounds bad pushed too high). It's just another link in the chain that people have to learn how to make work with the other links in the chain.
