  • (november 2008) Kobe Bryant sick block & move vs Tracy McGrady.
Last night vs Houston, L.A stormed back in the game in a dramatic way.
Down by 16 in the 2nd quarter, the Lakers outscored the Rockets 95-50 to get a 29pt win!!
Kobe completely owned Tracy McGrady on a particular play: he first blocked TMAC's lay-up, then few seconds later, after getting rid of Ron Artest, he made a spin move and hit a shot with McGrady defending him.
This play highlights quite well Kobe's all around game and reminds us a matchup between the 2 all stars a couple of years ago...when Kobe scored 24pts in the 4th quarter alone while shutting down TMAC.
    Career stats:
    Kobe vs TMAC (17 games)
    10 wins vs 7 wins
    28.6pts vs 20.7pts

This WAS a goaltend. I was watching this on FSNHOU, and since the commentators are Rockets commentators, they had doubts about the block as many of the Rockets fans did. When they showed it on the replay from a different angle, the ball clearly hit the backboard before Kobe "blocked" it: an automatic goaltend.
The move on the other end was pretty nice though.
