in camshafts, it is not only the duration that counts, there is also the survey (subtract the side measurement from that of the highest point) and one of the factors that most influences torque and hp is certainly timing! even if the camshaft measurements are identical, the start of opening and the start of closing of the valves may vary

I appreciate the vid but there are more things to measure on a cam than just lift. The CBR ex cam could easily have longer duration with a more aggressive ramp, and the extra lift on the intake cam doesn't increase duration. Also noteworthy is the fact the CBR300 ex cam and CRF300l ex cam have different part numbers.

Wouldn't it be best to use a micrometer instead of a Vernier caliper to measure the shim, since the wear is usually in the center of the shim? You could easily get a false reading as you're measuring the outer edge using the caliper.

Thank you for the tip. It’s too bad you didn’t show the exhaust camshafts side-by-side, just like the intake you could shown them being the same like you mentioned. What was the measurement of the lobe on the exhaust side?

Has anyone measured the duration on the stock vs the CBR exhaust cam?

Great video's. Is this one cam replacement suitable for both Lvl 1 or lvl 2 ECU refresh?

Nice work. I have just put a set of cams in my 300l now i have an oil leak at the front of my motor just under the exhaust. There is a small hole in head. any idea what this hole is for?

Hi, how does the bike run now? Have you lost low end power? I would be interested to see a Dyno run! Great video thanks 👍🏻

If you didn’t find it already, JakeTheGardenSnake did this swap and ran on the dyno. Didn’t seem worth it imho.

What is the top speed and cruise speed of the CRF 300l now, after the camshaft and air intake upgrade?

Shonky Productions did the mod and claimed 104kph in 4th gear or something like that.

I can hit 100kph in 3rd at 10500rpm with the Cbr300r cams and airbox boot. I think top speed will be around 160kph in 6th depending of the wind conditions

Are you sure that the Ex cam is the same? CBR is K33 - CRF is K1T
