- Does this 2.0 litre version of the Supra deserve to wear such an iconic badge? It is a difficult choice to make! I love a lot of what this car offers but there is no doubt it is a little bit cheeky!

Really not sure what was going on with my brain! Of course both cars are limited to 155mph not bhp 😂😂😂
yup @9:31 😉
The hot weather maybe? .You entitled to a hit and miss sometimes.
Easy done! No sweat!😀
Matching dress 👍
Had to be done right?!
I would go for the 6cyl GR Supra with the 6MT. I am quite happy that Toyota added a manual version in the GR Supra, and it’s gonna be sold here in Europe, and in many other areas around the world including North America, South Africa, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and probably some other markets too. They added it quite late, but better late than never.
As always niece Tish, great review.
I always enjoy your clear explanation 🇿🇦
Eye catching car! 😍 Specially from the back view. 🙂
Another great review Tish. Deciding between the 2.0 and the 3.0 'should be a no brainer. However, maybe we should ask ourselves the following questions. In the UK how often would you be able to use the extra that the 3.0 offers over the 2.0. What is the difference in fuel economy between them. And of course what are the residuals likely to be after a few years of driving. I think the 3.0 may well be the one to purchase new but the 2.0 may well be the one to get as a used car as it's nearly the same real world fun and probably cheaper to run, I guess we shall see.
I enjoyed watching the Video Review. I also liked your Summer Dress that Yellow Flowers and similar to the Yellow Paint Colour
Great review!
From what I've read, I prefer the 2.0 liter because it has better balance and handling, based on reviews, than the heavier 6 cylinder car. I love it in any bright color (not grey!!).
As a former BMW owner of many years, I love that interior. Very familiar. And I quite like sound of that 2.0 liter engine. I think its likely a far better daily driver than the 3.0 liter with its 19 inch wheels and stiffer suspension. (I'd be tempted by the manual 6 cylinder though.)
Nice review, as always!
Totally agree, thank you for watching!
Stunning looking
Totally a balanced and complete review. Very much a lifestyle choice.
Tish, I love the car and your presentation.. (Phil)
Nice review Tish.
This is perfect weekend car . Good looking, nimble, good handling, what more can you ask for.
A GR Yaris is more of all that, plus an ability to have actual passengers in the back.
That boot design lock unlock not unusual. What tho is. Is the lack of handle to pull up. That is indeed just plain odd. Great in yellow. Agree.
If the boot bothers you then buy the right springs that open the boot fully when you press the button. There are handles inside the boot to close it again.
great review tish , this car be no good for me i carry to much stuff lol do you like it tish
Nice Supra and also nice colour
You match the car! These look wicked I’d have this over the Z4.
Me too!!
As an owner of 2.0, it is a brilliant everyday car, also low on insurance
Good video tish
wasn't a fan of the yellow on that car
think its the same engine as the new m135i or mini jcw so can make abit more power if needed
noticed it was abit windy at the end of the video haha 😄
Revving 🔥🔥
Wow nice
If torquey with 8 speed auto, 36 mpg, could believe it. Was going to suggest would the Toyota 2.0 190 hybrid engine work in this, not sure it's necessary.
It's a pretty vanilla Coupe - Powered by a warmed over econobox engine. I don't really see 50k as a good price for it as it isn't that special.. Especially since the 3.0 isn't much more and you'll get some of the difference back on trade in.
It really needed to be 35k. You could buy a GR Yaris for less...
The GR Yaris is exactly why this car won’t sell.
@@afcgeo882 this get gets my drift.
I doubt anyone looking for a Supra is going to be cross shopping a Yaris. Lol.
That's a stunning car.
Fab review. Makes me want buy one. I’ve an Emira on order for 14 months going to cancel. £2000 deposit for a 24 month wait for base spec ??!! What’s the world coming to. Did I miss. The 2.0 is Auto only. Cannot find a manual. Thanks. And yes. Yellow could be the colour buy in
Honestly it was a really fun car please I feel like all the gripes could be fixed, I’d put in an aftermarket steering wheel with paddle extensions and then a louder exhaust system (because I’d want the sound to match the looks) yes, the 2.0 is only in an 8 speed auto
@@AutoSocialUK it’s a very interesting option. Residuals a concern 2.0 vs 3.0 but otherwise I don’t mind noise. On paper manual 3.0 only real option. Had m140 did 800 miles in it. Manual in that didn’t shit rubbery and bad throw. Partner has ZF m140. And that’s just ace.
Nice one ☝️
Supra dress. Is it available in different colours 😁
Limited to 155 brake horse power?? Or mph?
Well presented, balanced review Tish. I agree, that steering wheel is simply horrid. Fine in a Corolla, but not in a Supra 👎🏽.
I guess it’s cheaper to make the GR Supra by basing them on the BMW Z4 instead of building them on an entirely new platform, right?
I thought the new Supra was ugly when it first came out but now it’s starting to grow on me I drive a 2022 Kia Sorento SX Prestige can you review the Sorento if you haven’t yet xx
It’s on my list of cars to cover ☺️
Do you have it with FWD or AWD?
@@DaveDVideoMaker have what
@@yasminwilson7420 If your Sorento is front wheel drive or all wheel drive?
@@DaveDVideoMaker FWD I live in Los Angeles so don’t need AWD only bad thing is I’m always spinning the wheels cause it’s the bigger engine the 2.5 turbo 4 cylinder with the 8 speed wet dual clutch
Looks a nice car plus a 4 cylinder 2 litre engine will be a great option for a lot of people. Supra is a bit to impractical for me.
So the 6 cylinder isn’t an option? It’s only a 4 cylinder now?
Either way, this thing is damn cool looking, will turn more heads than a Z4 and probably drives pretty nicely.
The people who turn their nose up at it for having a 4 cylinder, I wonder what they drive? 😅
Apologies, the 3.0 is a 6 cylinder and the 2.0 is the 4 cylinder
Yeah I’ll turn my nose up at a 4cyl.
I have a 3.0l 6 z4
A AMG ml 55 v8
An FPV GT 315 v8
A ford falcon (barra) 4.0 6cyl
So yeah, petrol head hoon here.
Hehe😎
@@fugawiaus barra. The one of the bunch. As a petrol head , car trader , and a Brit I long for brute Aussie Utes and large capacity saloons. European have have fast swapping boxes and class interiors but …. Well …. We long for what isn’t available on our shores. Yanks dreamt about RS6 Avants they didn’t have/get for years.
@@zzhughesd the FPV is the same model falcon but with a 5.4l quad cam, vvt hand built v8 with 315kw. They then re engineered the coyote v8 into the Miami 5.0 supercharged with 335kw. FPV were ford Australia’s AMG or M division. They were owned by pro drive Australia that ran FPR the v8 supercar team of ford. The FPVs were the road going versions made alongside the racing cars.
FPV also built a barra turbo falcon. 310kw
FPV is Ford Performance Vehicles
FPR is Ford Performance Racing
Pro drive owns Tickford Engineering.
The barra is just a twin cam vvt 4.0l straight 6 with 175kw. But add a turbo……….😃
@@fugawiaus yes yes yes. After my comment. I googled the FPV and realised my blunder !!!! They look
So well. Breathed on by tickford. Joy. Like our now 100,000 £ Cossie. Sierra Cosworths .
Okay Tish I like the colour as in a supermarket car-park it would stand out but I dislike the long nose, the interior is too bland and over all not really impressed by what comes out the tail pipes noise wise.
So you want it, you have it I'll stick to what I drive and feel comfortable in, my Fiesta.
Pay the extra, get the 3.0 straight six engine. If you get a 2020 model it is highly tunable and it also sounds like it belongs in a supra.
Dress goes with the car ! 😂
The 2.0 is like having a v6 Mustang in the US
But faster, more than half a second faster to 60
2.0 litre is still a beast, next time they ask you just say it like Andrew Tate, what size engine is in your Supra 😀
Limited to 155 bhp? Or do you mean 155 mph 🤔😉
Hahahha yes I certainly do 😂
I'd take this one. Cheaper and lighter 👍
Absolutely stunning and the ain't bad either
ill take my 1.5 L any day mpg avrage 87-94mpg
2.0 Supra over a 2.3 Mustang every time
Oh no not the 2L version. That should be illegal
It matches your dress! [Supra lol a bmw[
my toyota hilux got 4 cylinder 2.7 liter engine , sorry but i'm not gonna spend all that money on a 4 cylinder sport car
With the talk I heard of de-restricting the motorways in the UK, cars with engines like this are just going to be even less popular.
Although I've never actually seen one of these in the flesh, I did see someone that engine swapped a V12 into this thing. Now THAT's a sensible match for this thing...
Such a bad steering wheel decision.
Pretty shtriking.
I guess the women watching will go and buy the yellow dress, they never watched any part of the yellow car
Tish… that car isn’t anything special. It’s a major under-performer. A Rav4 Prime is faster. The reason it turned heads is its colour. An Astra in that colour would have the same effect. Why anyone would choose this above a GR Yaris is beyond me.
You do know the 2.0 Supra has a 4.5-4.8 0-60 right
The Abarth 595 sounds better than this.
Car to go for in a midlife crisis 👍😂
Hahahah absolutely, bit like a Mustang
sound not good.
Sounds fine to me, but I'm only 3 minutes in so far.
