Can you tell me were you got the padding in your o4x goggles. I want the same one. I have seen them online but don't know which ones to buy because none of them are o4x specific.
i guess its all about the fov and where you're enjoying most. smaller fov sometimes gives you more focus, wider has more immersion. this is a little more affordable than the 04x though still beyond my budget. :D
Interesting to see skyzone opting for manufacturing a slightly narrower field of view for their newest google. This is purely antidotal, but i have a set of the fatshark attv6 goggles with the sub 40 deg field of view and have horizontal astigmatism's in both of my eyes and find the slightly smaller field of view actually makes focusing the lens on the screens much easier to get very sharp with almost no blurring in the corners. I also find Im partial to the display quality of the lcos, though I can't compare the displays to oled as I have no experience with that display. Thanks for the review!
It good these manufacturers are finally realizing that there are just a small number of very loud people who want super duper ultra massive FOV displays and that most people will like smaller FOVs. Its good not to listen to the comments from all those 5 year olds. Haha.
Fantastic review, Albert! Thanks a lot! 😃 The price of this new one is pretty close to the Eachine/SkyZone goggles as well... Could be another option! Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Hey Albert! I am going to buy my first goggle's and i am thinking between the skyzone Sky04L and the skyzone Sky020 witch one is the best option? Great review!
Yeah, it's amazing how many times I see widely contrasting opinions on all variety of goggles. Just goes to show that there's a goggle for everyone. The problem is how to find the right one for you. That's a tough problem.
Seems like the eachine 300o would be the best compromise for you. You get oled and the smaller field of view. Slightly less resolution but it is barely noticeable imho.
Love the reviews. Keep em comin. Glad you get to receive the sky zone goggles. I always recommend them if some are considering fatsharks also. And link to ur vids
Hi albert. After this two weeks do you think you will switch to the sky04L? Or will you use the OLED 04X now that the firmware allows to reduce the field of view?
I haven't had a chance to try the new firmware yet so can't really say. I've just been using the 04L daily until I get sick of it. Haven't had the time to do the firmware update yet.
What kind of battery are you using in this video on the 04L? I have some on the way and currently only have a 1s quad, so I’m looking for an alternative to using LiPos to power the goggles because I don’t want to buy bigger LiPos and a new charger until I get into building a 5” later on.
Great review Albert, always good to get a decent subjective opinion. I did hear somewhere that a new FW version for the 04x allows the image size to be reduced in at least one step (possibly more) I had been asking Skyzone for this mod along with a few others, it was the only thing stopping me from purchasing the 04X, I really like the deep contrast range of OLED screens. I also wonder about long term lifespan of both systems. Will they fade over time, lose brightness with OLED or wash out with LCOS? only time will tell.
Oled tends to ‘burn in’ static images like OSD elements. Don’t own an oled goggle but I guess they have the same problems as TV screens do with static logo’s becoming visible all the time. I have a visible logo’s in my TV after a year of use. Influencers on YT only seem to hype new products when they are brand new so they never say anything about durability.
@@marlin-fpvOLED being 'way' faster than LCOS is a misconception. Especially on microscreens this isn't the case. In fact it used to be OLED that had latency issues back in the day, but both technologies have come a far way since then. I'd be more concered with the short lifespan of OLED and their burn-in effect especially on static images like an OSD. No one talks about that.
What kind of foampad you have on the sky04x? It's not the fake leather nor foampad you get with the goggles, right? Can you provide a link or answer to where to get those?
i am trying to switch from box style goggles to this one. The problem I am having is with ipd adjustments. Where should I set its value? Either I set too far or too close, I always see those gimps of barrier or separation between my two eyes. Is that normal ? In box goggles obviously there is no such issues as I look direct at single screen like in a theater.
@@AlbertKimTV just watched it ! So basically I have to give some break-in time till my brain get used to it. Initial impression with it is that its really weird and basically wanted to close one eye and see though just one lol. Thanks
Hi, Albert. I'm building your "world's lightest" quad with the Eachine NANO VTX that you originally used (while I wait who knows how long for Banggood to deliver a Caddx Vista unit). Since the vtx has a single linear antenna, I'm wondering what goggle antennas you use for it. I have an analog adapter for my DJI fpv goggles that I'll use with the eachine 58pro/achilles module. Thanks.
Hi Albert! These are now 380 usd which makes them quite attractive. Do you recommend these as first "budget" slim goggles coming from and ev800d? Or would you go with attitude V6 or eachine ev300d?
Hey Albert, I seem to remember you reviewing a motor that had a 2mm shaft that was threaded. Am I making that up? Tried searching but, you've got a lot of videos haha
I went back to the 04X goggles when the newest firmware allowed me to shrink the screen size down. So now I get the smaller screen with the OLED tech which is the best combo for me.
@@AlbertKimTV Thanks for replying. I may just try to 04L anyway. They are lighter and have a better screen than my FXT Vipers. Thanks again. Happy flying
Help me please. I can’t focus at all, the picture doubles and does not add up. I have been suffering for 2 days already, I don’t turn the twists at all.
