This new collection of Lord Quas tracks might not be as epic as this project's debut LP in 2000, but it's still an incredibly fun listen.
What did you think of this album? Love it? Hate it? Why? What should I review next, eh?

The Unseen deserves a Classic Review
true

COME ON FEET
Quasimoto is fucking amazing
QUAS!
Jonny Noz Come on, feet!
Lord Quas
what, i'm not hating on lord quas. he's great, and i like this album a lot. ctfd.
huh
Bluh
theneedledrop drop that unseen classic review my guy
Christian Biggz hahaha I don’t think so either he said he generally doesn’t like talking about albums people have already said a lot about too often
Christian Biggz That’s why I made that original comment hahaha, there’s a lot of written material on it but not much on youtube. It is only 20 years old though as it ages I’m sure we’ll
get some good perspectives on it. One of my favorites! Production is beautiful.
Please review The Unseen for whenever you do that classics week!
YES!
Even two years ago, yes.
3 years ago yes
4 Years Ago Yes
5 years ago, yes
the more you listen to these joints the more they grow on you, too. you start hearing more and more fun shit in the samples/production and really get with the lyrics. like the lyrics aren't going for bars really, more like a fun, loose flow with some nice nuggets, and it all plays with the production really well.
remember when Anthony wasn't called a melon or a meme
True and used to be the official needle drop channel
he was a meme then...it just hadn't yet turned mainstream...so back then he wasn't making fun of his own popularity
Review the unseen it must be done.
yea true
The song Planned Attack and catchin the vibe will guarentee you a head nod. Lol
I think "Brothers Can't See Me" is my favorite. I gotta give the album another listen. Only that and a couple others including "Catchin' the Vibe" are really sticking with me. The 7" song, "Hittin' Hooks" is one of the dopest.
Every time I listen, I like it more. I'm not sure why Anthony doesn't care for Season's Change. "The Front" is pretty nice too.
Ehhh i can see why Seasons change was kin of weak compared to other songs. I like Catchin the vibe, Lax To Jfk, and Planned attack the best.

The unseen is so fucking good. Amazing analog production with tons of samples/ Prince Paul and bombsquad esque style but kicked up by obscure jazz samples. God I love that album
J2theB I agree too. He should do a classic review for the Unseen.
J2theB bro, sampling isnt analog hahaha. its just got sp303 vinyl sim.
Green ain’t only money you know
It’s silence, country, and things that grow.
Fave one from the album. Green Power
Yeah tbh the beat will have you bobbing your head the whole time
i believe it.
give us the unseen review
Do it coward
We want the Unseen Review
Do it
I never knew Quasimoto was Madlib - Thanks Anthony, you fuckin nerd!
hahaha sarcastic bitch. fuck fantano
smh
Yall joke but when I was like 14 and stumbled upon low class conspiracy and bad character I didn't realize it was madlib for like another year after that
Review the unseen, best quas tracks
yeah its a 20/10
Its spark•da•la not spark•dala
Eazy I love that song
It's spark the la as in lye which is another synonym for weed
did he really say spark dala lol
this is the most powerful review he's done because it's where his picture's from. this is the origin genesis of anthony fantano's youtube face and i am alive
true
Seasons Change is actually my favorite track on this album .lol
mine is planned attack
Same lol
me too :)

@@rory2345 same
The fact that he gave it a 7 means he actually really likes it. He is very strict with his ratings.
9 years later and still so many people don’t understand this
@@theactualjosi didn’t expect to see a comment from 2 days ago lol
@@paytonking4673 Maybe it’s just now getting recommended, kinda like me
@@HorrorMoviesNGuns possibly, although i was only here because i love quas

Bought this album a year ago and still can't get enough of it.

theneedledrop melon
Would still love to see The Unseen Review for classics
yes
Dope album and review! Every review is on point man keep it upp!
I didn't know that this had previously released tracks. Either way, I'm still planning on buying this on vinyl.
Review the unseen I love that album
me too
I just started listening to the unseen i can't stop
Please review The Unseen and/or The Further Adventures Of Quasimoto!
The amount I’ve listened to this record, I have to say, 9/10 album
Whatever happened to those outside intros? I miss that shit, young Melon.
Yes!!! I had been waiting for this teview for such a long time!!!
9 for me!! I still bump this album on a daily basis! :D
Seasons Change is one of my favorites for the sample alone. Sparkdala and Astronaut are probably my favorite cuts overall.
Good thought on the "chopped n screwed" vs. Quas' pitched-up vocals.
Madlib always doing his own thing since whenever :)
Yeah quas
i love breakfast!
I love... you! Ɛ>
Miles Ruggiero how tf
SHUTUP uoun nerd
I'm surprised there's no review for "The Unseen." My favorite album of all genre and I've been bumpin' it since 2008.
Can you please do a review of the album 'General Patton vs. the x executioners' by Mike Patton, Ipecac Records?
What's that blue albulm cover in the background?
WE NEED THE UNSEEN ALBUM REVIEW
Review The Unseen bro. People need to know more about that amazing album
This album as a whole is bananas. Brings me back to why I loved hip hop growing up in the Rawkus type days. The beats hit as low as Dilla tracks but bring the sunny California day Madlib feel. I'm a big fan of this.
Green power is a track on this? But is it any different from the unseen track?
One of my favorite hip-hop releases in recent memory.
Still listen to The Unseen & The further Adventures Of Lord Quas in 2022. Also still listening the Sound Pieces. I can't get enough of these 3 albums.
We need a review on further adventure of lord quas
I love your reviews! Please review Ugly Heroes
That Billy Ocean vinyl in the background is a classic as well!
your reviews are the best
Hooray! You did the Quasimoto review finally. You are indeed "THE man now".
First quasi track I ever listened to was planned attack, the production had me instantly hooked.
Anyone know the LP in the back? Looks like a killer soul record.
rewatching this 10 years later. Question: is this the best intro?
One of my favs,good review
Great review, man! First vid of yours I've watched. Nice shoutout to 'the rain'.
Given some of your other scores and how you talked about likeing the analog feel of some his songs (like that crackle on 'Youngblood') I was surprised you didn't like "Seasons Change". Only reason I bring it up is that it was a big standout to me, that bassline just kicks also, "Ladies love us like we the Ohio Playas". Apart from that I would up this album 1 more point for an 8/10... I respect the 7 tho. totes fair
Which tracks were previously released?
Review "The Unseen" Album... Best album
He won't do it he's a coward
review it
@@pwnerg6088 exactly he can’t handle lord quas
That's the last straw, Fantano.
Please review further adventures of lord quas
Can you do a series at the end of the year like classic albums like redux though like old reviews
love "Season's change" since I heard it when it was going to be released on the 2nd Quas joint.
maan first you gave me classixx and now this, im forever thankful dude
Do you like green power from the unseen or from yessir whatever?
I personally like the one on the unseen better. Wbu?
What's the name of the album on the vinyl behind?
Review the new Mount Kimbie? Ive just bought the album and love it. Bit of a change from Crooks & Lovers too.
Doesn't this album come out June 18th?
Whats the album behind you ?
FRED SMARTSTONE a year late, but yes, it’s of his album Suddenly.
Just discovered Quasimoto. Love all 3 of his albums.
Is this album out yet? Ive been in a cave or something the last few months. Just now finding out about this thanx to you my man
Where do i download the leak??
What's the story behind that character cover??? Where or it came from please???
It's the character of Madlib's alter ego, Quasimoto
Dope, I have that same Billy Ocean album you have back there, Found it while digging :)
Anthony,
Have you heard the new Sigur Ros tune? Isjaki
What do you think of it?
So was this sent to you from the UK since it's supposed to come out June 18?!?!
where can i listen to this?
@KingOfThe4Way Hey I just got into Quasimoto and i do enjoy this album but you seem to dislike it, could you recommend what you think is a better album by him?
Just curious, what does, "blunted hip hop production" mean?
heard a little of it and its very nice. To most Quas fans its refreshing to hear this. its classic jazz beats with old hip hop versus looped in. such a good album and think you're review is spot on. to many "mainstream" hip hop listeners, they wouldn't understand the value in this type of music!
Why did you change your stuff?
Anthony's gotta be loving those new album release titles that rhyme with 'forever'. 2 on the same week!
Am I Confused? is one of my favorite songs i’ve heard
what´s the album in the background?
Anthony, you used the definite article before your tagline?
What changed?
This was the first review from Anthony id ever watched, i think i was 12 when i first watched this. Where has time gone lol
I'm not a huge hip-hop fan, but for whatever reason Quasimotos first album connected with me and I really love it. I have his second album as well. Real cool stuff!
Review the new Jet Age Of Tomorrow album, Jellyfish Mentallity!
when you doing new burzum fantanobro?
is the UK shoutout about Everything Everything?
Sooooooo...... when are you reviewing the new AIC?
Quaimoto is so dope! Thanks needledrop for introducing me to him. :)
please review an Atmosphere album
I was thinking the other day that 2013 has been a pretty lukewarm year for hip hop so far, and then I hear this LP and I was very impressed. Just a really fun listening experience. It's pretty much all I've been listening to the past two days. Definitely going to try and grab the vinyl when it drops on the 18th.
Dear sir, could you please review the new TesseracT album?
What are u talking about this is Quasimoto
Haven't listened to it yet, but dig the review man! You make absolutely no reference to "The Further Adventures Of Lord Quas" though - it would've been interesting to hear yo take on the transition from that album ...
Which leads to the Question:
What IS yo take on "The Further Adventures Of Lord Quas"?
Good review, suprises me Anthony didn't say anything about the track 'Am I confused?' which to me personally is one of the better ones, but hey. Would be cool if he reviewed DJ Kozes Amygdala (for something completely different) although it has been out some months now... I find it the album of the year possibly. Thank you Anthony!
agree with a lot of what you said, but I personally gave it a 8 with my favorite track being green power, then broad factor and then the front as my 3rd favorite, really enjoyed, even though it can be repetitive at times
It did take me a while to get into quasi due to the pitch shifted vocals but now i love it to bits. The unseen is one my favourite albums.
the love for the unseen in the comments is real i have always had a copy in my car since 2010
Enjoying the 90 degree weather today Anthony? I'm going on a hike to Devil's Den in a bit to take advantage of it.
Just a suggestion for your videos. If you have ever seen a video game review from publications such as GameTrailers, they often show video of the game to give the audience an idea of what the critics is trying to explain. I don't know if you're even allowed to do this but possibly have some song snippets when describing things.
Still good shit (New subscriber)
ALL HAIL LORD QUAS!
Ahem, now that that's out of the way.
