Thank you thank you thank you! I just LOVE youtube for finding all you experienced people can impart your wisdom and tricks for all kinds of things. I was able to clean my screen in a bathroom sink faucet and now I found you to explain how to do the kitchen pullout faucet. You're the best!!!!!
Thank you for explaining step by step. After watching countless videos, your instructions finally did the trick and got my faucet back to normal. You're a life saver!!
This was such a huge help! I've had no water pressure for a year and didn't know how to take it off and clean it. Thanks so much for the simplicity of this lesson!!
Worked great, thank you! I found this video after taking the sprayer off and letting the hose slip back into the faucet. I was able to get the hose back out by pushing it up from under the sink. However, the brass connector was still back inside the faucet. To get it back out, I wrapped the end of the hose in tape to make the fit between the hose end and the connector more snug. Then I pulled the hose back into the faucet. When I pushed it back out this time, the connecter came with the hose since the fit was more snug. Posting this here because I was about to disassemble the faucet if the tape trick didn't work.
Absolutely game changing! We have the same sink and have been noticing a significant decrease in water pressure recently. Now it works better than when we moved in! Thank you so much for this super informative video!
You couldn't have made this process easier to understand. My wife is ecstatic now! What a gift you have given me!! Super simple and I'm not even handy.
so happy to hear this. In the old days (aka when I was a kid and all you usually needed was a new 5-cent washer) you could repair things easily. But in today's world, we get sexy plumbing hardware, and we are usually advised to replace it - ouch! (My brother bought a fancy faucet for his powder room, and he was advised to buy a new faucet.) I knew I was taking a chance with my kitchen pull-out faucet when I bought it, but you have given me hope that the fixes are indeed possible even for a mechanical dunce like me. (There seems to be a youtube video for almost any problem! ) "I got this!"
Thank You!!! We just replaced our water heater. Then, the water pressure came out so lame in the kitchen. I will fix this today! This is the best tutorial. I have done it once before, but reviewed, to be certain. 😊
Wow! What can I say? Thank you so very much for posting this video. I have had issues with my tap for over 3 months and was advised to use hot water , baking soda and vinegar but this did not work. I was almost going to buy a new tap for over $200 at Home Depot when I came across your video. Like magic, this method worked!! You saved me some money. God bless you!!
I couldn’t figure out how to clean mine. Your video was the most helpful of any I’d watched. I also couldn’t believe I’d been drinking water with all that crude in the head. Thank you!
I didn't realize that under the O-ring I had to pry out the screen with a little pick until I saw this. I was thinking way too complicated & thought I had to dismantle the entire hose head. Sometimes we need someone to point out the obvious. Thank you!
I just changed my hot water heater and lost a ton of water pressure in my kitchen faucet. I have galvanized pipes in an old house so I thought I might need to replumb the house. Your video helped me save some time on that future project. Thanks a lot!
Moved my water heater and ran some new lines then the sink lost all pressure. I assumed the heater was full of buildup because we have really hard water. I was remodeling bathroom so no water to try anywhere else. I used the blue thread stuff one time to connect water heat to main and hot water line that stuff clogged everything it went through lol
Great video! Thank you so much! It finally resolved my problem. I knew how to remove the aerator for cleaning, but it was still clogged. The trick was removing the faucet head; that's where all the mineral deposits were. Faucet works great now!
Purchasing a pull down faucet soon...our first. I was wondering if u ever have to replace aerator, but I guess not. You answered all my questions. Thanks for this video!
Helpful for me because it shows how to take apart and clean the Moen kitchen faucet. Hard water isn't much of a problem but grit and rocks are. Pouring the CLR into another glass container for using again instead of dumping it for future cleaning makes sense.
Thanks so much for your video. I actually had a bottle of CLR (surprise, surprise.) My sprayer was not able to be unscrewed so I found a small enough container to put the end in and let it soak. It worked great! Didn't have a bristle brush so used a plastic toothpick. Worked great! Now I don't get sprayed anymore, just a nice steam from my sprayer.
They put a new water heater in, and after I got no water coming out of the kitchen sink. Plumber said clean the aerator. And I didn’t know what he was talking about. Thank you sooooooo much!
This worked great. I was able to use the CLR and completely unclog the aerator faucet head. Also 2 minutes and an additional 45 seconds worked great to clear it soaking in the mixture once for 2 - then putting on - rinsing and then doing it 1 more minute or so. Duck tape also needed.
Thank you for this video. My mom's faucet was clogged also after we got the hot water heater line changed and i did exactly what you did even though i didn't have those tools. I used a toothbrush to brush off the calcium & mineral buildup and a knife to pluck out the rubber piece and it shoot out more water than before 🚿
I watched the video and is very good. My question is, many new heads for faucets are available for less than $10.00. However they will not fit the hose you are using and mine is the same . About 16.5 mm. Everything they sell is called a G 1/2 , 20.5 mm or 13/16. I am having a problem locating a head for this hose and will try cleaning it.
My guess is the threads on the faucet head are unique to the hose so you can't buy a $10 replacement. You can probably buy a replacement head for the model of faucet you have.
@@Iscaper I used a zip lock bag filled with vinegar, attached with rubber bands to faucet. Let soak 2hrs. Disassembled the sprayer. Cleaned screens. Cleaned the clogged holes in sprayer base. Works like a charm ✨️

thanks from the whole household our sinks water pressure had been really bad for years, and found this and we did it and its like the day it was put it we used awesome instead of CLR, and it worked wonders
great and helpful video. Maybe add a disclaimer at the beginning to watch entire video first. I didn't tape down the tube thingy and of course it went directly into the faucet thingie and i couldn't pull it out.
@@BennyChau The hose should have a weight attached to it to make it retract automatically after you've pulled the sprayer out. You probably have to get inside the cabinet underneath and feed it back through with someone above you at the faucet to grab it.
I saw this recommendation online: Mix lemon juice and vinegar in a spray bottle. It works best when warm: warm it in the microwave or the oven. Don't let it stay too long: 30 seconds is enough. Spray the warm vinegar and lemon juice mixture and let it sit for a few minutes, then wipe it with a lint-free cloth.
Good video. I use an office binder clip instead of duct tape to secure the hose. A wire brush would certainly work well, but it can scratch the metal and leave marks on my oil rubbed bronze spray head, so I use the brush with the very hard, stiff plastic bristles from my wire brush set instead and the tip of a small safety pin to clear the spray holes. I just have one question. Why did you barely turn the water on to show low flow at the beginning and then turn it on all the way at the end? I was hoping to see a big difference at the same flow rate.
I followed your directions, and the sink is working perfectly now. I took a picture to show you how it fits back together because there's a little gap I don't remember being there before, but perhaps it was. How do I upload photos here?
@@82Devilz I'm not sure what that would be unless your system pressure is too high, or there's a problem with your aerator. Here's an article on aerators: www.housedigest.com/482655/faucet-aerators-heres-what-you-should-know-before-installing-one/

Good question. I went to the CLR website and it says CLR is safe for chrome, porcelain, fiberglass, and stainless steel. Avoid contact with wood, clothing, wallpaper, carpeting, natural stones, brass, copper, aluminum, galvanized metals, any painted, coated or sealed surfaces. My faucet head in the video was brushed nickel and the CLR didn't damage it. I hope this helps.
I get full pressure with cold but minimal pressure with hot. How do I fix this? I've removed the hose from the bib to the faucet connector and made sure it was clear. I even switched the cold over to the hot connector and got reduced pressure (like 15% of normal) - All other faucets in the house have normal hot pressure so I know the supply is ok. Seems like the clog is internal? How do I clear that?
From underneath the sink you could try with a twisting motion to push the hose back through. If that doesn't work you may have to disassemble the faucet to get the hose back.
I got a question about this. I did not know about how the retractable pipe worked, and now it is lost (stuck) somewhere inside the faucet. Any ideas on how to get it out?
You might be able to go under the sink and pull the hose out, but that doesn't help you get it back through the tube to attach the spray head. You may end up disassembling the whole faucet to get the pull out hose back through the tube.
You might push a wire down the spout, wrap it around the hose, and try to pull it back up through. If that doesn't work you may have to remove the faucet and start over.
Looks like you didn't extend the arm all the way out in the beginning of the video. At the end you extended it all the way out. Better flow when you extend it all the way out.
