The one-handed playing and everything else is absolutely real and live. Its called talent. Real musicians don't need to do their music in a studio only with digital effects to make them sound good. You give them a mic or a guitar or a piano and they KNOW how to use it from beginning to end. They are not manufactured. They are not pretending. They are musicians.

    • @troystaunton254

The one hand playing isn’t that hard. Hell my brother used to do it as a party trick to get free drinks when he was 13. If he can plug in a guitar he can do it.

Yes, I will 2nd that. Still haven't found that car. saw The Rolling Stones in LA in 88 & I thought Jagger was old then. Guns & Roses opened for them. I don't remember any of the music because I was in shock watching Mick run like a professional athlete up & down these Massive stage floors. He never missed a beat & sang like the recordings. Those old performers had the audiences in their hands.

They started to get attention when in 1975 they appeared on ABC TV AUSTRALIA COUNTDOWN a Rock and Roll Show on Sunday nights at 6.30 before the News broadcast. I was 10 (56 now) and in Grade 5 at the time and the program exposed lots of kids all around Australia to the current music hits. AC/DC stood out because of their front man Bon, plus a young guy named Angus playing guitar while wearing a school boy uniform and their songs were powerful and easy to understand and repeat.

How is it possible? It's called talent. He knows his guitars intimately, so much so that he can play them as soon as the melodies form in his mind. Playing with one hand on a responsive electric guitar is just like someone skipping down the sidewalk.
As for the singer, he has a powerful voice and a powerful delivery. I'm sure it has caused him many throat problems, but he's a rocker and he keeps on truckin'.
You know of course that they are using microphones, the guitars and base are plugged into amps, the drummer probably has several microphones, all of this being pumped into a sophisticated sound system calibrated for maximum performance at whatever venue they play.
So yes, it comes out crisp and clear like a studio recording, but better, because you have the background noise of the crowd reaction in the concert.
Yes indeed, it is a real concert, even when it's staged for a music video. Enjoy.

I love watching the young generation of kids gain appreciation of music from my generation of Rock Music. Music was once created from scratch with actual musical talent with no sampling of others creation. I know it seems hard for this generation to imagine that, but it's TRUE!
I even played Bass guitar in a "Garage Band in the 70s" as learned to appreciate true talent since we could just barely imitate others creations but we actually managed to play parties and HS Proms! Nothing can top entertaining people when you're in your Teens😝👍!!

The reason the live recording sounds so good is because this is an official release of a live concert. The performance was professionally recorded in multiple tracks off the soundboard at the show. The recordings were then taken into a studio and mixed and mastered professionally. This is the end result. The performances you're hearing are all live.

I loved their shows. So insane, and amazing energy to be in the middle of. This video is not unusual for rock bands. These guys, and many others are incredibly talented, and have had decades of practice to get where they are now. Things like this theatrical performance don't happen immediately, and I know it seems incredible that there's no video trickery.
Certainly they have sound people there to make sure there aren't any feedback buzzes from the instruments, their voices, and the crowd; but there's no trickery (unless you count the people who lipsync like idiots). =) I'm so glad you're enjoying your rock journey.
If you like suggestions, I would say that you might enjoy one of my favorites, 'Veteran of the Psychic War', by Blue Oyster Cult. Or, really, anything of theirs.
