The main guitarist is Angus Young, he wears a suit because it was his school uniform, also it was a F**k you, to his teacher who said he would amount to nothing. His sister sugested to wear it, because he didn’t know what to wear in his band, glad this has 0 dislikes.

PS Angus deserves every bit of the love he gets for what he does. But take a minute to give love to his brother Malcolm, who wrote and plays all the riffs. He's legendary. It's harder than it looks and he's one of the standard bearers. He also was the sanest one in the band and handled all the early business for them. RIP Malcolm Young, the heart of ACDC for 40+ years.

Mal inspired me as a guitarist and by extension my entire music career. He completely revolutionized what it means to play rhythm guitar in a band, and if weren't for him, AC/DC and the entire genre of rock and metal wouldn't be the same. Every once in a while I'll load up some old Accadacca tunes and pan hard over to Mal's side and just revel in his genius and vibe.

Malcolm was indeed AC/DC's secret weapon. His rhythm guitar playing often kept thier songs grounded, providing the hook and through line while Angus was melting faces with his solos and Brian or Bon were belting out lyrics.

Back In Black is the Album title track, it's ACDC's first album after the death of their singer Bon Scott. Brian Johnson was the new singer. The guitarist is Angus Young (yes, he is, even now at 65 he's YOUNG!!), his brother is the other guitarist, he died a few years back. Angus wears the school uniform for one of two reasons: (a) he went to practice with the band, and often to local gigs, right after school so no time to change clothes, or (b) he deliberately wore those because he had no better clothes to wear (he started like when he was around 16-17, still in school!). Not sure which is the one but the image "stuck" and is thus since the mid-70s!!

Also ask them to name another bands top five songs and most will just regurgitate one or two hits they had. The difference between ACDC and the rest is the deliverance and energy

It's a shame you can't attend an ACDC concert anymore, they blew the roof off every time. Even the outdoor concerts, imagine 100,000 people on their feet, actively singing along, cheering the band, rocking out with everything they have, to every single song the band plays from start to finish. Few bands so consistently put out amazing music, and amazing concerts, for decades. This album came out after losing their first singer, as in he died as this album was getting started. The new singer, the one in this video, Brian Johnson, stepped right in and did fantastic. So this song, and this album, were the first tracks with the new singer. Hell of a band, legends one and all.

The lyrics mentions "nine lives, cats eyes..." The song (and album) is a tribute to the original lead singer Bon Scott. "The suit" is, as others have mentioned, is a British school uniform. I went to primary school in Ayrshire Scotland in the '60s and wore a uniform, short pants and all, quite similar to what you see Angus Young wearing.
The title "Back In Black" refers to the fact that the original lead singer, a bloke cried Bon Scott, had literally drunk himself to death. "Acute alcohol poisoning" and "death by misadventure" were listed on the official death certificate. The album was both a tribute to their lost friend and bandmate, and a statement of triumph over tragedy. They found a voice that is so similar to Bon's at times that the casual fan literally cannot tell which one is singing.
The "other guitar player" is Malcom Young, the older brother of Angus. The bass player is Cliff Williams and Phil Rudd was behind the drum kit.
"Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" would be great song to do a reaction to.

"Back in Black" or "back in THE black" as a phrase originally comes from the financial and business context - when a company is making losses they are said to be "In the Red" as red ink/ text was used to show figures on accounts that are making a loss. When things start going well again and they return to making profits then normal black ink is used for the figures - the company is "Back in Black". Used more generally, it suggests a person has been going through a really rough time, maybe taken a time-out, but has got their stuff together and making positive moves and things are finally going their way. A great "come-back" song. In AC/DC's context they were coming back after the lead singer passed away.
