Our family went Vegan 34 years while living in a small town in the state of Kentucky. Our children were 7 and 3. They were always the only Vegan children everywhere they went.
Respect to this family! I am 71 yrs old and went plant based 9 years ago. Never looked back. At present I have a pineapple upside down cake cooking in the oven - vegan recipe of course, and must delicious - we have non vegan friends coming tomorrow and they will not know any difference!
. . . ohhhh dearrrr....this family is absolutely inspirational - from their faith based life to their optimal health & wellness, cruelty-free lifestyle...your idea, Chef AJ, re their doing a show sounds wonderful for us, yet can't help but wonder how more than overwhelming it would be for their already full lives....God Bless You, Chef AJ &, Bless their Most Precious Familia... 🥰🥰🥰
It's so refreshing to see a whole family eating plant based. We need more parents to lead by example & direct their children in the healthy direction of a plant based /vegan lifestyle.
We raised our daughter vegan in 1989. She's been vegan her whole life and she just had twin girls, who will be raised vegan. The docs couldn't believe that the babies weighed 6.11 and 7.4 at birth (our daughter is 5' tall, 113 lbs). The docs were all skeptical about the health of the babies and admonished our daughter about "getting enough protein." Thanks Dr. Klaper and other Lifestyle Medicine docs whose goal is to educate new docs about proper WFPB nutrition.
When they said, “Fasting once per month starting at 8 years old…agency”…made me smile because I recognize the lingo. Then they mentioned Utah to confirm. (I’m in AF…I didn’t know there’s another vegan here!) If the family happens to see this comment, I wanted to share a resource that they may want to share with their extended family. There’s a beautiful video called “Return to Sparingly.” It has the quotes and photos of leaders including Smith(s), Young, Kimball, Hyde, Snow, Woodruff, Grant, Cannon, Benson (+) teaching about not eating meat, encouraging members to follow D&C 89… the part of the Word of Wisdom that unfortunately is no longer taught. They not only talk about how it’s healthier to not eat animals but also include ethics - - urging to have respect and compassion for the animals. It’s beautiful and possibly persuasive for members. (I’m not a member, to be transparent.) 🌱💚
I recognized the lingo too! I'm a neighbor to AF (PG). Loved this family and episode. They are an inspiration. I had/have 7 children also. Sadly I did not raise them plant based. I am beginning my own journey being WFPB now in my 60's. Luck and Love and Blessings to all.
Thanks for the Return to Sparingly info. I just watched it. I will share with my family members. I used the Word of Wisdom throughout my life in determining if I should go on different diet protocols, therefore, thankfully I have not followed many of the "diet" plans out there. My sisters and mom, not so much. This may be a reminder to them.🙏😊🥰
@@enlivenfoods There is a new plant-based documentary coming out by the creators of What the Health, Cowspiracy and Seaspiracy. It’s called Christspiracy. It’s not anti-religion. Test-screenings with different groups showed that conservative Christians as well as non-believers loved this film. - -🌱Rather it’s showing the original ancient intentions of religions to be plant-based.🌱 It’s being shown this month… next week actually, March 20 and 24. My family and I have tickets for the Thanksgiving Point location but it’s at different locations. Netflix was originally going to have it but they put too many demands on the production. The creators bought the rights back so they could have control over it. I hope one day it will be more available than these two showings. idk I will put the link in another reply. RUclips usually removes replies with links, that’s why I won’t put it here. If it gets removed, just look up Christspiracy trailer and tickets if interested.
How did you do the Christmas candies and the Santa Claus giving candies out and the teachers and Halloween Grandma's auntie's friends pizzas parties at school cupcakes please share I need I'm really interested on how to do this right❤
A loving and strong family. Dr. Will Bulsiewicz's book Fiber Fueled is one of my favorites too, for all the information he provides, as well as the excellent recipes. I'm now interested in checking out the Everyday Ayurveda Cookbook she mentioned, because Ayurveda has always intrigued me.

I live in northeast Kentucky. Where do you live?
The prophet of our church is now 99 1/2. He has skied with his family way into his 90’s! It’s doable with a very healthy diet!

Chef AJ on RUclips is really a one stop shop to learn about all the other resources, doctors, books, and recipes.

I absolutely LOVE this video and family..what a truly inspiring story💕
They are an inspiration 🎉
So inspiring!! Thank you!!
Believe it or not I do not own a microwave and I never did I have a toaster oven that functions as a toaster and oven a air fryer.
I love this family! Can you let us know how to make the mug muffin if you choose not to microwave? Thank you!
The muffins can be made in the oven as well! Instructions for baking them in the oven are on the back of each package :)
Beautiful family
I love this! I wished I would have raised my children vegan. If only there was a Time Machine!!! Do they garden to save money on groceries? Wendy🙏🏻🇺🇸
