Man im learning battery by Metallica and my gallop picking is sloppy, working on it right now. Riffs you showed in the video are a bit hard for me rn. Anyways, you are amazing at guitar
Oh good! I'm subscribing. I was legitimately considering learning how to play thrash metal. Been playing ska and punk for a couple decades. I still love them but I wanna always try something new and challenge myself. Good video, thanks!
Notice Metalhead Zac's picking hand: he employs a super efficient escape motion to get his pick back to above the string for the next gallop-this is key.
Thats because I use micro rests to keep the speed up. It’s kind of like recoil. You’ll never be completely still anyway because the body is always moving.
Can't wait to try out these tricks! I also recommend Fear Factory for crazy fast rhythm patterns.
Thanks Zac!! Good vibes to you mate, from America
