Goddamn dude. Your riff composing skill is insane. I'm not trying to crawl up your ass, but the variations and nuances in your riffs are of absolute elite musician level, and your playing is practically flawless aswell. I gave a thumb when you said not to have it too high and "look like a dickhead", haha, lmfao! It's true, higher is better for reach and lower is better for looks but too low will hurt ur arms and ability and too high will make you look like Rage Against the Machine

DUUUDE, great awesome short to the point lesson man! UR right on time and accurate picking. We have a similar grip style, you mention to try to keep ur thumb straight but notice how much the thumb actually twists during the Sepultura riff. You may not even realize the control you have gained by giving much of the energy to the thumb and taking some energy off the wrist and forearm which have to move so much further and carry a heavier weight! People will gain speed and stamina by learning this due to being able to subconsciously delegate the strain in real time between 3 muscles, forearm, wrist, thumb vs. just swinging their arm around wildly trying to keep up and getting tired.
