I have 4 Stories, but I will share Three Stories of My Pokemon rather than the Journeys exclusively. Once upon a time, in a land called Alola... A young boy named Adam was starting his first ever journey, throughout all of Pokemon. He loved being able to play with Pokemon he felt confident with, and loved being able to go for Attack after Attack. He heard that Fire is always the Best Typing Offensively, so he selected the Starter Pokemon, Litten. Throughout his Journey in Pokemon Moon, he would soon encounter more and more members who kept improving throughout their Journey. Despite the Pokemon Alola Anime not coming out until later on, he still cherished his Litten all the way to become a Torracat. He later on found a Person who would eventually become one of his Closest Rivals, even moreso than Hau... His name was Guzma. Guzma was a Rambunctious Adult Character, that made Adam actually start to think about my actions for once. For his Battles, there were always 2 or 3 Rivalries between Pokemon. Adam's Toucannon and Araquanid were rivals to Guzma's Spinarak. And then, the Main Rivalry that showed a Confliction of Resolves... Guzma's Ace of Golisopod (showing that he is strong and confident, but hates taking Risks), and Adam's Ace of Incineroar (showing high risk but having less confidence in his abilities as a trainer, using Items and Healing all the time just to keep going). Both were like-minded individuals who had One Purpose in mind... Win the Battles at whatever cost, while trying to stay strong and perservere. The words of advice were taxing against Adam more than the taxing Guzma took from losing, because Adam started to realize that sometimes, you need to take less risks... Especially with how harsh the future battles would be. Totem Mimikyu immediately beating Adam into submission SEVERAL TIMES due to the Stubbornness of using a Z-Move immediately and lack of knowledge as to how Disguise worked, The Last Two Kahunas (Nanu and Hapu) showed Adam that Strength came with Type Effectiveness (Directly taught by Hapu's use of Rock and Ground Type Moves against Adam's Best Pokemon of Incineroar, Toucannon, Lycanroc, and Araquanid) as well as the Knowledge of Type Coverage and Secondary Effects (Taught by Nanu's tricks that he used, such as Fake Out and Power Gem on Alolan Perisan)... But none of these taught Adam more than the Monster that Mother Beast Lusamine was. Regardless of how many times Adam Lost, he kept trying to use the Same Strategies, hoping that his Pokemon would survive and continue to fight... But despite all of that, none of those attempt helped Adam win... And he eventually gave up for a long time... Until his Family and Friends reminded him that to Overcome a Seemingly Impossible Task, you need to look at things from a different angle, and get back up No Matter What. So Adam tried once more, having a different perspective on everything. He used Type Effectiveness, thought about things Carefully, and decided to change everything he thought he knew, before he managed to deal the Final Blow and Successfully Won. Adam proceeded to become Champion, and eventually had the Realizations of how to work on things for his Next Adventure... But first, there was another issue he wanted to take care of first. After Adam had Watched the Pokemon Anime, he had Cherished the idea of the Event Lycanroc, but he never knew HOW to even get it. So when he finally figured out how, the Event was already over... But Adam's Older Brother named Austin, who already had a Dusk Lycanroc, and also had more experience with a Nintendo 3DS, decided to help Adam with his issues. With the power of Time Travel (Rewinding the 3DS Clock all the way to before the Event Ended), he managed to Save his Rockruff from being Lost Forever... At the cost of becoming a Paradox in and of itself. Dusk Lycanroc would become a Very Close Partner to Adam throughout Ultra Moon, but there was Another Story for Adam, involving a Shielded Hero and Champion throughout the Galar Region, as he set off to grow and become part of Fate Itself. On one fateful Christmas Morning, and he had finally arrived to a Special Route where the Oppurtunity of Online Play had just begun. Adam worked throughout his First Time in the Wild Area, enjoying the Company that his Scorbunny and Rookidee were bringing him. Although Wooloo and Nickit were on his team too, he didn't want a Repeat of his First Struggles in Alola (aside from Incineroar, Lycanroc, and Toucannon, he also had Alolan Raticate on his team, which made him Struggle way more with Fighting Types more than he thought he would). He noticed a Special Feature called "Surprise Trade" in the Online Function, so he thought he should have fun with Trades. However, on his Very First Try... He got a Grookey from the Surprise Trade. Shocked by the Starter that Hop was using, Adam realized that because it was Christmas Morning, he might have a Chance to recieve EVERY Starter. So he kept Surprise Trading, and on his Fifth Surprise Trade, that Morning, he recieved a Sobble as well. Fate had given him 3 Starters, a Rookidee, and a Corvisquire, so all that was left was the Electric Type. He thought about looking for a Morpeko, until something different caught his Attention... That being the Pokemon Daycare. After hearing about a Toxel, he decided to bring it alongside him on his Journey, when it eventually, became an Amped Toxtricity. He had a Fully New and Unique Team, filled with Diverse Typings, and All Pokemon that had Importance to him. This was his Perfect Journey, and he knew it was thanks to Fate that he could end up like this in the First Place.

Who he portrays in his videos is who he is: a really kind, fun, and passionate guy who loves games. Cannot wait for him to take off and for all of you to get to know Josh.
When you remember that Chime-co evolves through friendship, it truly makes the story both more sad and more sweet at the same time. Also, it's always nice to remember My Pokemon Ranch, aka Pokemon Home if it was good.
It really does :' ) Who knew id end up appreciating a friendship evolution so much. Honestly yeah, it would be nice if Pokemon Home was a little more interactive and not just some service I have to pay monthly for to look at my pokemon.
Saw the thumbnail and screamed “IS THAT POKÉMON RANCH?!” I got into Pokémon later than most so I never played many games before gen 6, but I strictly remember playing colosseum, XD and Snap on my Wii. Ranch too. They were all my older siblings’ games, and for some reason I was trusted to mess around on their save files. I never understood what ranch was for, but I would spend hours on it just shaking the Wii remote to make all the Pokémon bounce. This video brought back great memories my guy, keep up the good work
I love paying $20 every year to Pokemon HOME so I can actually access all of my Pokemon! I know storing my approximately 1 megabyte of data must be really taxing on their servers, so I'm happy to be spending money that is surely only being used to fund server upkeep.
I have no idea how the algorithm gave me a video with relatively small views, but I am so glad it did. Really interesting and definitely became an instant subscriber
I'm imagining Hayley tending the ranch, having long ago given up on anyone returning, and she chances to look up at the sky and sees the balloon in the distance. She smiles, holding back tears, and starts frantically waving, finally able to welcome you back after so long.
It's stories like this that make me wish I grew up in the 2000s. I'm only slightly older than the north american versions of diamond and pearl, so I never really got to grow up with this gen or with any of the side games or make memories with my pokemon in the way other people did.
As someone who did, there was something really magical about that era. Being a kid playing pokemon with little to no presence of the internet to spoil it and only your curiosity/playground rumors guiding you was something special. Even just the quality of the games was on a different level Not knowing what the new pokemon evolve into made it a million times better (which is basically impossible to do nowadays) 😔. Maaaaaan do I miss those days
@@ItzJhon I was born in 05 so I mostly grew up in the 2010s, and I feel like I had a pretty similar experience with the 2010s games like xy, oras, and usum. I played y, as, and um respectively and I have fond memories of each of them. Especially alpha sapphire as it was my first Pokémon game. Though unfortunately I knew no one who also played Pokémon games, so I just had to have fun with it by myself. It was probably a lot different from the 2000s still
My oldest Pokémon I own is a Lumineon from 2013 from my original Black 2 savefile. I distinctly remember absolutely adoring her and still do to this day. She’s the reason why I love Lumineon. I don’t care how lackluster or forgettable Lumineon is to some people, I adore that fish and always will. I got her to level 83 before I then began to consistently transfer her. I’m kinda surprised she’s been able to stand the test of time, as I did forget about her for a few years, until I stumbled upon her once more. I’m beyond grateful that she’s made it up to now with me. She’s now in my Violet savefile and I’m probably gonna get her all the contest ribbons in BDSP when I feel up to doing that. She was also transferred to Legends Arceus before the game was patched, so she has the teensy mark as well, which is pretty cool. I have so many other mons with significant memories behind them, but she’s the first one that came to mind. As someone who’s also sentimental about Pokémon, I’m beyond happy for you that you were able to free them at last. Hell yeah brother
As a fellow lumineon enjoyer, it warms my heart whenever people give that pokemon some love. I just know its going to get an evo or mega evolution one day. I love that ribbons now also give titles. It lets you appreciate the pokemon you cherish even more. Also Thank ya, I got tons of pokemon stories that Id love to share, just gotta turn em into videos xD
came here hoping for a solution to my own lost Ranch pokemon, and ended up with the reminder that EVERY pokemon is SOMEONE'S favorite.. ... even if "favorite" might be stretching it just a little here.
@@ItzJhon Oh Shiny Pawmot, easily. It has vibes that i just adore. And I was saying Chimecho/chingling is probably a [maybe reluctant] fav for you, in part due to this whole situation and also in part from your past beef with it and all.
@@TheCottonCandie after the arc we went on, its impossible for me not to like the lil guy. ^_^. However my absolute fave spot is takin by someone else. Maybe ill make a video about that story 🤔
This video genunienly made me cry. I used to have an old swampert named Muddy that was my first ever starter, but I deleted that save file. The reason why I deleted it is because I first played alpha sapphire when I was ~9 years old and had only played games like mario kart wii and wii sports resorts on the wii, and boiii on ps3. I wasn't used to rpgs so I never talked to npcs. This caused me to miss a LOT of stuff. and eventually I got stuck at the inside city with the electric gym. So, I spent most of my time just playing with my swampert and leveling him into a beast on fodder. I eventually got bored and stopped playing, but I soon revisited it a couple years later at ~11. Now 11yo me was a lot smarter and beat the game, so I once again put down the game, and picked it back up again a year later. Now at 12 years old I wanted to completely redo the game so I could get the full experience that 9yo me messed up. I deleted my save file and Muddy was lost to history. I once again picked mudkip and named him Gavin this time. I loved him, but he wasn't Muddy. Honestly I don't even remember if I beat that save file in the end. I still have the cartridge so I could check, but I think that would just make me sad
Would you believe me if I said I also named my starter mudkip “Muddy”? As long as you remember em, your muddy will live on forever :,) I would beat that cartridge in honour of muddy.
How I wish I could get my old pokemon back, including my own Chimecho (which I thought at the time was pronounced as “Chimey-Cho”) that I tenderly raised. I reset my save files so many times and replayed them though, and some games I lost of course, so I can never get them back. You hold them and cherish them, okay? :)
Calling em chimey-cho makes em so much cuter 🥺 Dont you worry, memories have always meant the absolute world to me. If I’m not yapping about the good ol days or keeping every little thing as a memento, Ive been replaced xD As long as you still remember that chimey-cho, they’re never truly gone :)
I had a cherish pokemon (well part of a team) that beat the Hoenn Elite Four and it's my lvl 28 Shedinja. It was around 2017-2018 when I decided to finish my Sapphire playthrough once again in my GBA SP (I wiped countless save file in the past but not this one). Most of my mons were underleveled but pushed through through sheer dedication until I reached Steven Stone. I setup my team beforehand with all of the league's weaknesses, but for Steven, I was hoping that my underleveled Machoke, Manetric, and Swampert could beat them. Now, it was down to the last mon, Steven's Metagross swept 5/6 of my teams and I ran out of revives, potions, and full restore and all that's left was a Shedinja that I included as a "switch out bait" for me to spam those items. Before I prepare myself for the inevitable, all of Metagross' attacks cannot hit Shedinja because of Wonder Guard and Shedinja, being lvl 27 at the time, had bug and ghost type moves that could hit Metagross. So I used my xspecs to raise Shedinja's specials and spam Shadow Ball until Steven ran out of full restore to fully heal Metagross. In the end, Shedinja leveled up to 28 and beat the Champion's ace pokemon before it likely used Struggle and finishes the Pokemon League! I still have my copy of Sapphire untouched until I have enough savings for a DS with a GBA slot and a DS game for me to transfer. I would never lose that team unless my save file corrupts and lost everything. DS and carts are scarce in my place and money is more of an issue to get it. I could one day, bring them to Bank and to Home and reunited with me once more. That's my cherished mon, along with a bunch of underleveled teams.
i never had pokemon ranch, and i've lost my copy of diamond from 2007 (coincidentally, i also got it on release day as a birthday present.) i also had action replay hacked legendaries, and a ranger's egg manaphy, which i was especially heartbroken to lose. since I somehow missed the BDSP distribution, i was excited when legends came out, and the manaphy mission was the first side quest i undertook to regain my blue buddy, which may not be the same manaphy i raised and took care of in Sinnoh, but it's just as good. it's now level 100 and is my most beloved partner in SV.
Im glad we all lived the same childhood xD We need more stuff like the ranger manaphy egg today. It felt so cool to be rewarded for my adventure in ranger in the mainline games and have something to show for it. (Unfortunately my manaphy met the same fate on my lost pearl) 😔 That same lil blue buddy is still with ya in spirit :,)
Makes me sad cuz I did find my Diamond that was lost for years, but my original save file was gone. Most special mons from that were really my whole OG team, my infernape, the Luxray who as a Shinx was the first Pokémon I ever caught, my shiny Quagsire who I found as a wooper and since I didn’t know what shinies were I thought this wooper was possessed and needed my help. Good memories lost to the sands of time
@@ItzJhon yep, but had a nice surprise when I played brilliant Diamond. Did the catching tutorial with Lucas and then my next encounter in the same patch of grass appeared a level 4 Shinx with intimidate, same level, same ability, same gender, and even the same nature as my original one. Childish as it is I like to believe we found each other again lol. Now cherishing that Luxray forever he’s currently chillin in Paldea and has battled on a handful of my vgc teams. Maybe I’ll take him to a regional one day
@@Neevkl_7 I'm glad I'm not the only one that does that too :'). It was meant to be. I also try to fit my old fellas onto my VGC teams. Ironically, the topic of the next video has something to do with VGC.
I transferred my childhood Wii data into my Wii U so I’ve had Pokémon Ranch this whole time, and I started playing it again recently because I’m trying to get the Mew. The Chingling story was super cute!
4:43 If I hadn’t seen any danganronpa gameplay I would have been blindsided by this and think its just random numbers, but I have so I know what it means. Well played
I'm having the EXACT same problem right now trying to extract my very first pokemon from Battle Revolution! My copy of Diamond is long gone, and it breaks my heart, but somehow we'll get there! Thank you for the inspiration to keep looking for answers! And a big congratulations on your success! 🔥
Method two in the video works! Unfortunately if you don't want to homebrew the Wii then you're stuck since you can't withdraw pokemon like in method 3 since they're cloned for the game (like digital copies in the game lore) so you'd still be able to use them in their home game still, as the game was never made to be a storage box like Ranch was. If hombrewing isn't an issue though you should be fine! Do note that the game does seem to have some mild issues when it comes to how it shows up in PKHex (the first custom card shows as your party), so make sure your first custom card matches the party that was cloned.
@@ItzJhon the gacha has consumed me utterly. I wake in trembling agony over PNGs every day. I am in existential agony A melodramatic silly way to say I'm a day 1 player
@@indulgent_pooch Im still in shock to this day that they not only gave my fave FE character a nice alt, but also made her the best thing in the game. Now shes +10 and sits in my barracks because she cant kill emblem Ike...
i played this game around the time it came out and i have some Pokemon stuck in their from either an old Diamond or Pearl save from years ago that was overwritten. i'm probably not lucky enough to have an obvious start date so i probably can't get them back. but in order to keep adding Pokemon to the Ranch i would have to restart with a new save file
I would still give it a shot! Through my research, apparently the important details are the trainer name, trainer ID and secret ID. But if that method dosent work, the save extraction method could still work for you :D
Incredible video, love the Chimecho line (Wish I had more to add about the stellar video, but I honestly can’t think of much to say other than like, yeah it definitely deserves more views and stuff)
I just stumbled on your video at perfect timing! I’m on a mission to transfer up all my old Pokémon from childhood, starting from Sapphire. I clicked your video for background while I do the gen 5 slingshots 😅 I spent like all day last Saturday with my old Pokémon Ranch file and my copy of Pearl!
DONT GET ME STARTED ON THE GEN 5 SLINGSHOT MINIGAME. Which monster at gamefreak wanted to torture me. make sure to get some ribbons on em before u transfer up so they get a bunch of cool titles! :3
@@maxyboy52 I can definitely see psychic/ghost or maybe even psychic/steel if they go the bell route with the design. and dw bout it friendo, its what I do 👍
I've actually been looking to do this myself, a couple weeks ago I pulled out my wii, plugged it in, and then... I found out... My wii's RCA port is broken and I can't see anything that I'm doing. So my brother's first ever shiny is stuck in a wii that doesn't even function properly. He put it in there with a copy of Diamond he sold so it's just been sitting there. The last couple years I've used PKhex to transfer gen 3/4 mons to gen 5 to be sent to bank faster than 6 at a time and thought whenever I finish with everything I had to do I'd grab the ones in bank, but I'll probably have to physically open up my wii to actually do anything with it.
ooo that does sound like a tricky situation. Is there a way to get that port repaired/replaced? If so, Im sure the pkhex method would definitely work. Good luck friendo! also what shiny was it? 👀
@@ItzJhon Yeah I plan to get it replaced at some point, I'll probably get the disk drive fixed while I'm at it because I've just used the wii u to play wii games so never bothered fixing it, maybe get the hdmi port on the wii u fixed so I don't need an RCA adaptor while I'm at it lol. but it was a shiny Crobat he caught as a Zubat. I think he gave it a name that only worked because it was green and then it turned pink lol
I probably made a collector cry so I got the game on the first day of release and I got the pre-order sticker thing and I used the stickers and some of the envelopes still haven't beaten arceus maybe I should try to
Huh I guess losing pearl is common I had one that got stolen it was my first Pokémon game and I was doing the Dex and was trying to find gible but didn't know how to find it because the Dex didn't show the cave so I was just biking in the grass for hours thinking it's a rare spawn. Mind you I was like 9/10 and had seen roaming Pokémon So the hours of going in and out of that grass patch got me my first shiny a shiny green bronzer and I was ecstatic I had never seen anything like this so I caught it and showed my friends. Only for one day am at the park with my friends my pearl and my soul silver got stolen not any other games Just those games that had my first shiny and my first starter I transferred my starter to soul silver I never found out what happened or why. But years later in X&Y I got my second shiny and I started shiny hunting some what as a hobby and I said to myself I will shiny hunt Bronzor if Pokémon pearl got a remake. And a decade later SHINING PEARL came out I start the game and with the power of hindsight I know where to find a gible for my team I go into the cave and my first encounter is a beautiful shiny green Bronzor first shiny of that play through so I named it Daja now a Bronzong actually lives in legends arceus now. Am happy we got our happy endings.
I was playing ultra sun one morning and when I opened it the save was corrupted I had almost ever legend cough and I had a level 100 liconrock and a level 100 fully evolved rowlet the I thought that both of them were gone but the fully evolved rowlet wa slater found on a different game
I have a similar problem but it's more like the wiiu the game is on has a broken gamer pad so I can't access the game. I remember letting a friend borrow my pearl version and a lot of pokemon from that save should be on there
While I understand the Anti Copy measure by making backups impossible (which is... still dumb imo. Like they gave out Event winning pokemon who are exactly the same before lol) I dont get why ypu shouldnt be allowed to store and withdraw pokemonnin these games. Its basically a way to trade with yourself. Apparently thats a no go?
I only had the gamecube link cable as a kid, so the only way to trade with myself was by trading from a gba game to colosseum or xd and then back to the other gba game. I dont get why you couldnt do the same on the wii
@@ItzJhon Its not even copying lol so.... Yeah. They didnt give us the platinum update but I doubt that changed things too. DP themselves had questionable descisions here amd there, GF decided to only add rematches and other cool stuff to Special versions rather than the first releases... Their thought process, even to this day, remains a mystery to me.

I'm imagining Hayley tending the ranch, having long ago given up on anyone returning, and she chances to look up at the sky and sees the balloon in the distance. She smiles, holding back tears, and starts frantically waving, finally able to welcome you back after so long.
I promised em I’d come back :, ) ❤️
(This is my new headcanon xD)
@@ItzJhon Also it's good to see someone using those editors for good rather than clogging up the surprise trade with fakes.
Even just the quality of the games was on a different level
Not knowing what the new pokemon evolve into made it a million times better (which is basically impossible to do nowadays) 😔.
It was probably a lot different from the 2000s still
@@epicthy I still remember when they first announced megas. I was soooooo hyped
Picking an absolute favorite pokemon has to be one of the hardest questions xD
Whose your fave? : D
Calling em chimey-cho makes em so much cuter 🥺
Dont you worry, memories have always meant the absolute world to me. If I’m not yapping about the good ol days or keeping every little thing as a memento, Ive been replaced xD
As long as you still remember that chimey-cho, they’re never truly gone :)
@@ItzJhon That’s true!! And I’ll remember my Chimey-Cho until the day I die!!! Thank you!

The best memory I got is the time I used Mega Ampharos to beat X and Y. Couldn’t be more excited to use it again in Z-A!
taking away megas was one of the biggest mistakes pokemon ever made. So happy its coming back too!
You weren't missing much, Azelf is the best of the lake trio anyway
S-tier Pokemon cries
That's my cherished mon, along with a bunch of underleveled teams.
as a shedinja lover, this warmed my heart. I knew someone out there must have used it to beat the game and I finally found ya xD
i never had pokemon ranch, and i've lost my copy of diamond from 2007 (coincidentally, i also got it on release day as a birthday present.) i also had action replay hacked legendaries, and a ranger's egg manaphy, which i was especially heartbroken to lose. since I somehow missed the BDSP distribution, i was excited when legends came out, and the manaphy mission was the first side quest i undertook to regain my blue buddy, which may not be the same manaphy i raised and took care of in Sinnoh, but it's just as good. it's now level 100 and is my most beloved partner in SV.
Im glad we all lived the same childhood xD We need more stuff like the ranger manaphy egg today. It felt so cool to be rewarded for my adventure in ranger in the mainline games and have something to show for it. (Unfortunately my manaphy met the same fate on my lost pearl) 😔
That same lil blue buddy is still with ya in spirit :,)

REAL ONES KNOW 😤💯👑
Makes me sad cuz I did find my Diamond that was lost for years, but my original save file was gone.
Most special mons from that were really my whole OG team, my infernape, the Luxray who as a Shinx was the first Pokémon I ever caught, my shiny Quagsire who I found as a wooper and since I didn’t know what shinies were I thought this wooper was possessed and needed my help.
Good memories lost to the sands of time
this one hurt to read 😔
gotta cherish those memories, its all we got :' )
(I miss how mysterious shinies used to be as kids)

Your comment literally made my year 🥹
I believe in ya friendo! Theres always a way!
The future king of youtube is rooting for ya!

You can do it!
Saving Chimecho was the biggest W

but in order to keep adding Pokemon to the Ranch i would have to restart with a new save file

and dw bout it friendo, its what I do 👍
I've actually been looking to do this myself, a couple weeks ago I pulled out my wii, plugged it in, and then...

Only for one day am at the park with my friends my pearl and my soul silver got stolen not any other games
Just those games that had my first shiny and my first starter I transferred my starter to soul silver I never found out what happened or why.
