When I was a member of ACE like 25 years ago, I participated in an all day Wild One marathon and got to ride for a few hours without leaving seat.

It honestly looks to have a middle of the pack lineup for SF parks highlighted by a great top 3 in Superman, batwing and wild one
The atmosphere is the thing that hurts this park, particularly in the back section. The rides aren't the issue.
Jokers Jinx is the 3rd member of the big 3
I was surprised by Jokers Jinx. The omission of the MCBR obviously helped the second half a ton in terms of intensity/speed, but I was also struck by how much less it shook me around in comparison to the Flight of Fears.
It is a lot smoother.
personally I like the jokers jinx more because this is just me but I like that I can see how fast paced everything is and in flight of fear you don't really see anything so you do not know how fast you are really going but the joker to me seems more fun and intense
Wild One is underrated. A great mixture of history and excitement.

I love Superman. The ejector at the end is amazing, and the restraints don’t take away from the ride like the ones at SFNE. This is my home Six Flags park, and it doesn’t get enough credit. New management has done this park a favor.
I just wish the shin guards were more comfortable.
Ride it in the front. You'll be glad you did. (I speak from experience)
Was here 2 weeks ago while visiting family in the area. Honestly I really enjoyed my time here and was able to marathon all of the coasters I wanted. I personally would put batwing at #2 but really solid list.

SFA has a bizarre but pretty awesome top 4. The weird as hell Superman hyper, a 100 year old classic woodie, a surprisingly good launch coaster in Joker's Jinx, and Batwing... I absolutely love Batwing, I think it's the best flying coaster I've been on (and I rode Tatsu). Def not the best Six Flags park but criminally underrated IMO.
The rides have never been an issue here.
And Krypton Comet, the only Six Flags ride themed to Krypton itself (which Brainiac IS...) oh, wait
Alright! That teacups ride reminds me of similar teacup rides at Six Flags Great Adventure and Morey’s Piers!

That ride is underrated.
I think this park would be more beloved if they worked on more consistent park appearance. There are plenty of parks that have a generally midrange coaster collection but are beloved because the overall experience is so good. Silverwood comes to mind. SFA could be really cool if they had better appearance, landscaping and a more dynamic layout. I don't think it would take a lot of work for this park to become something great, and they'd only need to add maybe one additional coaster or thrill ride.
But that would require that Six Flags actually cared about this park.
The front half of SFA is reasonable but the back half is horrific. Like why have trees when you can just have concrete everywhere? Maybe my least favorite section of any park anywhere. It’s not like Maryland is a naturally ugly place… Six Flags just doesn’t feel like treating this park with any respect.
It's not Six Flags... Dan Snyder is a partial owner and blocks every investment SF wants to make because he's a tight-wad who doesn't want to spend any money to improve his assets, even if it would mean better margins...
This park has some good looking spots and nice rides.
As much as I may dislike Roar & Firebird, I have enjoyed the rest of the park on both my visits, even Mind Eraser. I only got on a few waterslides, but they were good. There was a set of body slides that were giving airtime, sending your body off the slide briefly. I like the top 4 coasters at this park. Superman is an easy winner, but I give the edge to Batwing over Jokers Jinx for my 2nd favorite. Lines haven't been an issue for me here, even when the park was packed.
Maybe I'll try the water park at some point.
Six Flags America looks underated. It may not have anything super elite but the collection does fill in all the gaps. A GCI, an old wooden coaster, a Hyper, a launch, SLC... and the first B&M. Some decent flats and I find it interesting that Voodoo Drop is so small compared to other Intamin Giant drop towers.
The rides have never been the issue.
The first time I went here I was too young to ride much but I remember seeing Two Face it’s a shame that it’s no longer their it had such a beautiful color scheme I’m even surprised Six Flags never made another Two Face Coaster

I haven't ridden in the back rows, but I have ridden Mind Eraser in the front row, and honestly I didn't find it bad at all. Maybe it was just the day I visited, but it seemed to run significantly slower than the other SLCs I've ridden, which may have contributed to it being less rough. It was odd because going so slow I actually got hang time on it, which was very interesting.
I've ridden it once on each of my 2019 & 2021 visits, and it was decent. Nothing amazing, but not bad either. It did tap my head a couple times, but that padding is quite soft. It does run shaky, but I didn't find that painful either.
@@OklahomaCoasterFan I had pretty much the same experience, shaky, but it didn't hurt me at all.
I haven't ridden it in a decade and don't plan to reride it.
What do you think about Mind Eraser at Six Flags America, that coaster with yellow track and red supports?

No, but it's bad.
I visited SFA a little over two weeks ago. I heard Mind Eraser was bad. However, it did not seem bad at all when I rode it. Still bumpy like most slc's but rideable. I rode it in the front. There was only one train (looked like both trains were combined to make one) with 8 rows instead of 10. The second train was nowhere in sight.
I do have a method when I ride a Vekoma SLC. I keep my right ear pressed firmly against the restraint during the ride to prevent head banging. When I do that the ride experience is not so bad.
I try that to mitigate the pain, but it's still uncomfortable.
Mind Eraser was down for the entire season when I went...
I feel that Six Flags America is a good mid-tier park in general but definitely need a little bit more bite when it comes to they coaster line up to take it to the next level, perhaps something like a RMC Raptor like Railblazer or Rmc conversion of Roar would be a great start for this fun park.
I think the atmosphere is the biggest thing that needs help.

Wonder Woman ranks low for me because they played Dancing Queen. The New England one played Danger Zone, why must America downgrade the song by so much?
America plays women empowerment songs because of the Wonder Woman theme.

New England also plays Snoopy vs. The Red Baron... probably without the lyrics mentioning Snoopy though.
Also, during Halloween, Dorney Park's carrousel plays the '60s Batman theme... that completes the meme.
One ride I have pretty high on my list is the bumper cars. I rode with my little brother and I let him drive. Many other drivers were going the wrong way and let’s just say, he made them pay.
I skipped those.
Two Face was fantastic in its opening year. It was B&M smooth and a good 8/10.

Canobie "erasing" peoples mids LOL! AstoWorld had one like the Penguin. Reaper Railways (Canobie, I drove this 50 ton GE engine built in 1948) The Arrow didn't lave the "launch of the Schwarzkopf" But, yeah that drop takes you off guard. That was a great "dusk" shot of Superman. The park DOES have an interesting coaster collection (save one)
I rode Astroworld's water slide thing when it was relocated to Six Flags New England.
Joker's Jinx, I don't know if it originally opened to positive reception by many enthusiasts, because it originally had over the shoulder restraints
The old restraints were not popular.
Same with the Chiller.
I will always remember this park for getting props on HBO's "The Wire" 😂
That show is on my watch list.

I would definitely put Batwing at the top spot. Perfectly smooth, very intense, and had elements that were terrifying for different reasons. In my opinion, Superman had none of these qualities, at least not to the same extent as Batwing. Both are great though.
I personally wouldn't call it smooth, I think shaky is the best word to describe it, but because there's really nothing for you to bang your head on its not a problem at all, if not enhances the experience by making it feel more out of control.

I love Superman, but Batwing is so underrated. America's best Vekoma by far. All of my rides have been perfectly smooth. I think it's the best flyer in the country, although I have a soft spot for Manta.
I prefer the airtime rides myself.
For me the best ride there was Joker's Jinx followed by The Wild One, Batwing, Superman: The Ride and Shipwreck Rapids. This is a shocking lineup but I blacked out very severely on Superman which is why it's near the back and a lot of other rides when I was there in 2013 were closed which is why it isn't a big countdown for me.
That's a different number one.
I'm going here for my senior trip and now im going to be hyperfixiated on it until I go!

I respect your opinion on Jokers Jinx’s launch, but the launch is more than just “okay.” It always catches me off guard. I love LIMs
I've never been wowed by the launches on Premiers. I love their layouts though.
And what are the differences between the four Premier Rides LIM launch coasters, Joker's Jinx at Six Flags America, Poltergeist at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, and the Flight of Fear coasters at Kings Island and Kings Dominion? I'm referring to the second half full of turns before the corkscrew
The indoor ones are trimmed beforehand.

Technically Python was not a part of six flags. It was there when I went to Adventure World but when the park switched to Six Flags Python was replaced with Two Face.

@@CanobieCoaster Yeah we just got almost nothing out of Superman. In the back seat absolutely zero but in the front some ok airtime. I am a bit biased cause I love the flying dutchman.

The ride broke before I could record footage of the Six Flags America one, which is why I used the New England one's footage.
Lemme say something I rode the jokers jinx 2 times the launch was like a bullet train it wasn’t scary but for some people it is scary but when I go upside down after the launch it felt sooo fun then the other parts are not scary jokers jinx was after all fun 20/10 after the ride I was sitting next to my friend I said “ the joker is weak” LOL
I find Joker fun, but there are stronger launches out there.

If there is a Harley Quinn at that park then why did you film the one at six flags New England because I’ve been to that park so many times and the joker is next to it in New England and you can see Batman to the left of it
The one at Six Flags America broke after I rode it.
Lol I rode Mind Eraser as my 100th credit, basically for a joke, and I was pleasantly surprised that I found it mediocre and not the worst ride ever made. I know I'm in the minority here.

I LOVE Wild One. SFA is my home park, and I have been going on and off several years now. Superman scared the shit out of me, and I will NEVER be riding it again, I think it was the speed being entirely too fast for me, but I would 100% try firebird again after my asshole ex traumatized me when it was called Apocalypse. I also really love Shipwreck Falls when it's open, and I really think Ragin' Cajun is a classic must ride now, I always follow a specific path but I LOVE Ragin' Cajun.
