The very best part about these Moonlight pens: THEY ALL GLOW UNDER A UV BLACKLIGHT!!! You should check out some of my blacklight drawings sometime (or just check your own out by getting a nice UV blacklight). It’s SO cool!
Did the herringbone pebble doddle give anyone else "cell vibes". 🤔It kinda of reminds me of a plant cell or something like that. 🤷♀️Definitely gave me Biology flashbacks in any case. 😟😉😂😂
That’s what I love about Gelly Roll. You can buy them in all different sizes and also individually in most cases, which is really important for me because I have a lot of pens (like the black and clear glazed; clear stardust, moonlight purple and blue; etc) that use a lot of and don’t want to have to buy the entire pack of them. The 74-pack was the first one that I got and immediately fell in love with Gelly Roll. Anything else that wasn’t in that pack was like a booster pack to add to my collection. To this day, Gelly Roll is still my favorite because they have so many colors that glow under the UV blacklight that most pen companies don’t make. Not to mention they are very opaque (which makes them able to overwrite other stuff like mistakes), dry quickly, don’t bleed, and have some unique colors that no other distributers make.
I would definitely call those islands...and I am a huge fan of yours and your voice is truly relaxing. I do remember your herringbone pattern video and also tried all the other patterns in my summer vacation! 😘
Me too! I stopped the video so I could search out stores that carry Sakura Gelly Rolls. Alas, the closest is about 40 miles away, so I'll have to wait a bit.
Thanks for mentioning Zentangle. Your artwork is lovely. The moonlight gel pens look awesome on the kraft color board. Oh dear, I may have to buy more pens. You are an enabler. :)
Wavy Islands? I think it's Clams on the Shoreline. LOL! Love that you share your doodles; makes me feel less like I'm wasting time when I'm doodling. It IS meditative! Cheers
Please, please, please Sakura: Make a white that glows white under a UV blacklight. Thanks to your new lavender, sky blue, and ultramarine I now have these colors that glow under the blacklight: -Red (all shades + pastel; true red is rare) -Orange (all shades + pastel) -Yellow (Orange/yellow + highlighter/yellow + pastel, but no TRUE yellow/yellow) -Green (all shades + pastel) -Turquoise (all shades + pastel) -Blue (all shades + pastel) -Indigo (Lavender and Moonlight Purple) -NO true purple/purple -Violet (all shades, but no pastels) -Magenta (all shades + pastels) -Gray (“all” shades, but doesn’t really glow gray; glow bluish) -Brown (multiple shades + pastel) I don’t imagine that black would glow in the blacklight (that’s weird to even imagine), but WHITE?! Why are there absolutely no white pens that actually glow white under a UV blacklight?! It’s one of the strongest glowers under normal circumstances because it is the opposite of black(light). I found a white paint that glows brilliantly, but never a pen.
Awesome video, I'd say because of my stern resolve I also find it very meditative to surround myself with things very different/interesting than myself. Though I find myself growing its not always as quickly as I'd like :)
Can those pens be blended with a clear alcohol blender? I have a technique where I take gel pens and blended them with a colorless blender to spread out and brighten the colors a bit. I started doing that a few years ago. It is cool.
Love your videos.. I doodle mandalas at work to keep me focused.. I work in a call center. You have such great ideas. Your videos are done so professionally. Did you major in video/ communications?
Hey I am ishika from India.. I have seen your videos on RUclips and they are just amazing... I have got a request and I just want to ask you that if you could upload a video of giving a vintage look to the cover with scrap materials and paints
Is there something horribly wrong with me. I love the idea of these meditative doodles but when I actually do them it’s: When will these d.... peebles be finished?”
There's nothing wrong with you. It just takes practice to "let go" and get your zen on. I'm almost 59 years old and just got the hang of it in the past 5 years. What helped me make the transition from frustration to zen was a terribly hard time in my life. A loved one was in the hospital and I had 12 hours to kill and was making myself crazy. I grabbed a big piece of paper, wrote her name in big block letters and started filling them in. I did the first one in sections and patterns that were too big and they were finished too fast. So I did a second one and made the sections smaller and filled them in with tighter patterns. I noticed that every time I started to make a line I was out about 1mm from joining. While concentrating on making my lines start and stop *exactly* on the previous line and not having any overlaps or hangovers is when I lost myself in it. The phone rang with good news and I wasn't finished. That is the day repetitive pattern-making changed from boring to fun for me.
Okay, so I threw all my money at my monitor. Hopefully, my new colour moonlights arrive sooner rather than later! Calypso & Nyx say "Happy Craft Napping, Kona!" flic.kr/p/2jCd4fh
Notification squad!
A sponsorship from Sakura?! That’s awesome!
Also I love this type of content. Thank you!
And YES I’d love a tutorial on the book you doodled in!

Oh dear, so did I! (And I admit it, I'm here for Kona too.)
I’m gonna wait to get the big set even though I have some. I just use the moonlight for my black journal.

Every time I get jellyroll pens at least 1/4 of them dont wrk.
