24 Hours on ROUTE 66 in Illinois

Route 66.... What can we say??
Team Dirt Road Traveller was focused on planning their 5 City MLB Road Trip when they realized they had a driving day open that gave them an awesome opportunity...... Route 66.
Earlier in the year, Tim read a book about a man who WALKED Route 66 from Chicago all the way to Santa Monica, so that put this historic route on his radar.
After seeing a few great landmarks in Chicago (did you see our 4 Days in Chicago video??) , the Team carried on to Jolliet with the goal of seeing as many of the iconic places as we could before arriving in Springfield IL 330 km later!

It is crazy eye candy!!! I would love to do the entire route with no time restrictions!! We could have spent 2 days doing the stretch we did!
