Good review and its a decent little drone and great value. You do mention these things but they are clear Cons for the summary from my POV - Altitude hold cant be turned off. A real limitation, this would be a killer purchase without - Can't use them with another radio because the protocol is non-standard - Less important but a non standard battery so not ideal if you want to buy a bunch The left gimbal forward and back to start / bind doesn't seem to be in my manual, so that's a key point :-) Would be great if there was a firmware mod for this to make the altitue hold optional.
Stacks of these cheapy little ducted quads have been issued since the original JJRC H36/Eachine E010 and Furibee F36 - all of which are a cheap way to keep the ankle biters entertained and out of your hair. Unfortunately they seem to always be on slightly modified protocols so keeping up with what works them on a Multi Radio can be a headache. Lots of fun to tease the pets/relies when stuck indoors though even on the dinky toy remotes.
Yep, looks a lot like it. But its flight control software is greatly improved. This thing is extremely smooth to fly. I've been flying it in the house through cracks in the banister rails.

How to know that you are charging on the given charger with no indicator?
The charger has a red LED in the USB end which is on when charging off when charged.

Yes the down button on the left stick... Sorry for the sarchasm, but no, there is no dedicated landing or take-off buttons.

Looks a LOT like the old E-010 which had an FPV camera (I still have one).

If you've never flown a drone before, then yes, this would be a good starter drone. You'll learn the basics of controlling a drone with this.
